@Careful you - I wonder if any #1 seed has ever had a Strength of Schedule of 103-112 (depending on where you get your sports info) ? Just asking. And no - I don't like Wichita State.
@eastcoasthawk Please attend more often !
I wish one of our clever out of state opponents would come up with a catchy, original sign.
Maybe something like:
You're Not In Kansas Anymore
@JayhawkRock78 If memory serves me, there's a similar scenario happenin down the road in the Hawktagon of Doom. I think their banner says " Remember that time we beat KU? ".
@MoonwalkMafia You know that had to embarrass the heck out of Ol Roy......
@wrwlumpy The day we rush the floor (only exception being a National Championship game) is the day I quit watching basketball.
@DinarHawk I 100% agree that I wish they would push the pace - I'm just not sure if they are able to. We were discussing this very thing at work this morning ( on break of course....) about how if there was one thing we missed about Ol Roy it was the fast pace that he allowed/made his guys to play.
@DinarHawk I'd be surprised if he tries to surprise (?) anyone in March. I personally feel like we're not running much because our quality of ball handlers is not that great.
@Lulufulu85 Thanks for all the good info! I felt like I could have written the KU and WSU sections myself, except that I would have added that last year I rooted for WSU (after we were out of it) and this year I want that big mouth crybaby Marshall to get his butt handed to him on a platter.
When I have more time, I'll tell you how I really feel.
@KirkIsMyHinrich Good point ! We KU fans have been seriously spoiled the last 25+ years and I personally tend to forget that - oh yeah, we own college basketball (lol).
Especially after that last game, thank you for pointing out what an outstanding program we really have.
@drgnslayr That sounds like Lombardi's " Gentlemen, this is a football. " speech.
You just can't emphasize the basics too much.
@Crimsonorblue22 They're not selfish, but they sometimes take poor shots that would have resulted in assists had they made another pass or two.
@MoonwalkMafia Self to OSU would be like trading in a Rolls-Royce for a Yugo.
You know how dang hard it is to find parts for a Yugo ?
@drgnslayr If you guys really want Oakville here, leave it up to me.
Oakville: You are not wanted or needed here. Please stay away. You are not witty or fun. If you DO come here, you will be the only poster who is required to sign on through Facebook and you will have to answer 27 Google questions before you are allowed to read any article.
There - that should do it. Everybody always does the opposite of what I tell them.
Oakville will be here soon - let the fun begin.
@wissoxfan83 In " Commodore Perry's " defense, there ain't a whole lot of people anywhere that have back to back 20 point games.
@DoubleDD There's no way to say this without sounding like " that guy ", but I swear at the beginning of the season, I mentioned that at the end of the year our MVP would be Perry Ellis. The guy is just a machine.
@drgnslayr Hmmmm - We don't have to worry about it today,but maybe we should have a separate category for things like this after games like Texas and K-State.....
@globaljaybird I really enjoy all the gardening and nature tips. (seriously) I'm glad we have a site where we can feel free to discuss other things than just X's and O's. It's just more - diverse, fun and interesting!
@globaljaybird There is no doubt about it. Today, you guys have made my mind up - this is the best website in the history of the universe!
@JayHawkFanToo No disrespect, but he was anyway !!!
@ralster I was kind of flustered with the Spradling thing myself. I mean, he looks like his role in any sphere of athletics should be handing out water or towels. But, to his credit, he went out and played his short, white, red-headed hiney off - unlike most of our team on that particular evening.
Another thing that got to me was the crowd. I know they haven't had that many people in there since the last time KU was there, but they were as hyped up as if they were at the 1993 National Livestock Judging Championship. I haven't been to a home game for a while, but please tell me that our crowd doesn't chant " F - - - K-State ", or whomever the opponent is that night. Seriously?
@drgnslayr Maybe Smart can get a bunch of piercings and rainbow colored hair and be the next Dennis Rodman. I wonder if he's ever been to North Korea?
@lincase If you were at KU when the last glaciers were receding, consider yourself blessed. That's when our basketball players all stayed four years.
@Crimsonorblue22 Riding the Pine.
@globaljaybird I'm very sorry for your burden right now. I will definitely keep you and your family in my prayers. Every one of us who have had pets have had our hearts broken at one time or another.
@wrwlumpy I look at it as if the WV AD has a bad hard on for KU and/or Bill Self.
I realize that I think differently than a lot of folk, but if I were Bob Huggins and my boss proposed that offer to me, I'd put a pop-knot on their head.
Beating KU (and every other team you play) is what you get paid for. Do your job. If you can.
I'd rather have 5 guys go for 20 ea.....
And make free throws !
@Crimsonorblue22 I felt pretty close to that way about Misswho - Can't say that I hated them more than I love KU, but I got every bit as much satisfaction out of a Mizzery loss as I did a KU win.
@jaybate 1.0 Points or minutes ?

@drgnslayr - As of the start of this basketball season, I puke every time I look at / think of / hear Gregg Marshall.
CRAP - told you I wasn't too "techy". I need to thank @Wishawk for editing that. Sorry to both of you for being a knucklehead.
@wissoxfan83 Oh! Gotcha.
(By the way, thank you for editing my post to the Marcus Smart article yesterday - I'm not too " techy ".)
@wissoxfan83 " He's a chump. He's soft. He's weak. "
Yeah, that may be a tiny bit harsh.
Inexperienced.

Strongly agree that he ( and Wiggins ) needs to come back next year. No way is either one ready for the NBA. But, if they want to get paid to sit on the bench and cheerlead while waiting for the " potential " to develop, so be it.
I always thought #21 had his head up his own butt, I was wrong. It's up Naadir's.....
@RockChalkinTexas The " Over-rated " chant is my FAVORITE of all time!! It says - " We're not good enough to beat a really good team, so you must be over-rated ".
@KUSTEVE " The outcome was so apparent from the beginning, I didn't have my usual temper tantrum "
After about 15 minutes, I went and worked a jigsaw puzzle. A stupid, terrible, hard, ignorant puzzle. But it was better than watching all THAT. But I didn't lose my mind like I normally would.
Silver linings.....
@approxinfinity I really, REALLY want to play WSU. And by play, I mean beat like a rented mule. Spank. Whip. Embarrass. Humiliate. Destroy.
I want the game to be known forevermore as the " Mouth Marshall's Meltdown ".

Numerous statistics for many sports. Excellent NCAA men's basketball resource. Provides information / comparisons for teams, players, coaches, conferences, etc.
@RockChalkinTexas Thank You ! I hope it's nothing serious.
I don't know where this comment belongs, but it's 5:30 in the morning so this seems as good as any.
I've been somewhat out of the loop for a few days - can someone please tell me why Connor was in street clothes last night? Is he injured or sick? Thank You.
@RockChalkinTexas Nine conference championships is ....nice, I guess. But what really bothers me is Self's inability to win at home. I mean, nine losses in eleven years??? We've got to get more consistent. Take advantage of our home court.
Bwa-hahahahahaha
@Blown For me, you can leave out the word " playing ".
@MoonwalkMafia Nah, " Scott Drew just isn't a very good coach." - that about sums it up. Lord knows they've had plenty of talent there over the years. Maybe it's the cheerleaders......
@dylans - I don't know, a guy that shoots 50% from the 3 point line (or 10 ft behind...) and 91% free throws, humble, hard-working kid who doesn't turn the ball over might be worth trading SOMEONE for.
@JayHawkFanToo It's funny, at the end of last season and especially at the beginning of this season, when Smart returned to OSU instead of opting for the NBA, I had a lot of respect for him. After watching his antics this season I just think he's a punk.
The only player in my life that I thought he should have went pro instead of staying another year or two.
@wissoxfan83 - How about:
KENTUCKY SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.
YOUR COACH IS A D-BAG AND ASHLEY JUDD CAN'T ACT.
MOONSHINE IS OVERRATED AND NOBODY LIKES BANJO MUSIC.
Something like that.
Just sayin.....
@jaybate 1.0 "But OSU is still dangerous because of Brown, who has kept getting better."
And don't forget the short white dude who, according to statsheet.com has THE highest offensive rating in the nation. Yes, NATION. Forte is the hottest 3 point shooter in the country and one of the best free throw shooters as well.
I'm sorry, I'm not feeling the Shocker love like a lot of folks.
I think they play a weak schedule in a weak conference and have a slimy, d-bag coach. But that's just my opinion.
I'm tired of hearing Gregg Marshall whine and cry and bad mouth everybody in the country that's not named Wichita State.
Besides my family's health and prosperity, what I pray for the most is that Mr. Marshall get his wish and plays Kansas. Soon.
Be careful what you wish for......
