Makes me think about that Jeopardy contestant from KU last week who couldn't name the state flower. Jeez.

Also, those sunflowers are growing on me.
Not literally I hope.
I'm still smarting from last night's Sportscenter w/Scott Van Pelt. Our scoreless last 5 minutes against OSU last week got the Bad Beats treatment. Painful to see that again (and I like Van Pelt.) Hope tonight's game washes out the bad taste from that one.
@BeddieKU23 Happy 2-22-22 !
Let's win by (at least) 22
The soap opera continues. Still wondering whether the Chiefs will have to face Aaron Rodgers twice next season.
When he announced his split with Shailene Woodley (who lives in Colorado) this week, it sounded like that deal was dead. Or maybe not. His old OC in Green Bay is now Denver's head coach, and his old tight ends coach is the new Broncos OC.
The chess game continues. Looks like the Packers are about to re-hire one of his favorite coaches from the Mike McCarthy days as their QB coach.
Stay tuned...
OK till Saturday guys
RCJH
Get some rest guys. Never easy in Morgantown. Kinda wish K-State hadn't beat em tonight.

This team doesn't get enough love for having so many local guys starting. You'd think this would be a lot of people's favorite team ever
This is what some people claimed they wanted in the past, even.
I'd love to see more local talent, but I just want us to win no matter where they're from. The 1988 NC team only had Chris Piper and Danny Manning (who played his HS ball in North Carolina) as contributors. The 2008 champs were a little better...Brandon Rush, Brady Morningstar, Tyrel Reed and a few guys who mostly sat on the bench. When you recruit nationally you're bound to lose a few local guys.
Dunk u very much
@RockChalkinTexas Apparently they're a tribute to the 1922 "national championship" team
Happy (Darnell) Valentine's Day everyone !
What's struck me is the recent influx of former NAIA schools into the mid-majors. A lot of those one-bid NCAA conferences now have members that I remember watching years ago at the NAIA tournament in KC. NBA stars Willis Reed, Scottie Pippen, Lucious Jackson, Jack Sikma and others all got their first national exposure there. With NAIA membership decreasing at a rapid rate, good luck finding pro prospects at that tournament nowadays.
My head's been spinning lately over the most recent churn in conference membership. We all know about OU and UT leaving the Big XII for the SEC and the AAC schools joining plus BYU. But it's been intriguing to watch the scramble of all the leagues further down the food chain.
Now nearly half of Conference USA is taking off for the AAC, and another three schools just announced Friday that they're off to join the Sun Belt, effective June 30. Meanwhile Conference USA is picking up four new members, leaving lots of charges and countercharges all around.
Got all that? Me neither.
Okay, now it's time for the women to do their thing. Big game against KSU tonight. Right now we're a projected 11 seed in the tournament.
Just keep winning.

Back from the dead !!!
scary ref cam
God I hate those bounce passes in the key. Turnover bait.
Oops, bad spelling mojo too.
Tough week for Jayhawks. First the Texas loss, then Gary Woodland misses the cut by one stroke in Phoenix. Even worse, yesterday's episode of "Jeopardy" had a KU student who couldn't come up with the name of the Kansas state flower !
Need a win today to get ride of some of that bad mojo.
While channel surfing last week I came across a rather strange show that featured James Naismith as a character in a TV drama.
The Canadian crime series "Murdoch Mysteries" is based on a book about a turn-of-the-(20th)-century Toronto detective who solves crimes by using "modern" scientific techniques. The show gets outlandish at times when they try to put historical figures in the plot lines. Last week's episode had James Naismith returning to his hometown in Ontario for a charity youth basketball tournament that included a team Murdoch coached. Somehow Naismith becomes the suspect in a murder case. (Spoiler: He didn't do it.)
The guy playing Naismith was a reasonable match for the one we've seen in all the old photos. But aside from some historical inaccuracies about early basketball, the show really went over the top when it tried to tie the plot into the modern game.
The real eye-roller came when it featured Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse in a cameo role as a locker-room attendant. He goes so far as to suggest that Murdoch name his kids' team the Raptors. To make it even more unbelievable, the tournament's winning shot was a carbon copy of the rim-bouncing Kawhi Leonard buzzer-beater that sent Toronto to the NBA finals a few years ago. (Guess you gotta play to your audience...)
Those of us who live close to the border can watch the series on the CBC Network. Otherwise a few American outlets carry reruns of the show on cable or streaming services. I think some of the early seasons are available on DVD.
Kind of a hoot ! Entertaining, in a jump-the-shark kind of way...
A BEAR ASS WHUPPIN
We should call a bunch of timeouts just to piss off the ACC fans
Remember how you felt last week? This is the flip side.
Life's funny that way.
Scott trolling for his second T. Guess he's had enough of this debacle.
WHEATIES
Hurry up and finish 'em off guys. Gotta get back to that breathtaking Olympic curling match.
Yeah Scott, that T of yours really pumped up the team. Ours.
