He didn't look like this against
Stanford.
Ah, the smell of Cramergesic in the morning. Wasn't it Robert Duvall who said that in Apocalypse Now? The so-called locker room humor of adding it to a tyro's jock strap.
We could use another pogo stick.
Speeding up our offense can only help us. This will force us to create our own shots. Those that are unable to do that will have to defer to those who can. Svi will have to show that he can get to the basket. Oops, he won't be playing.
@ralster Thank you so much for sitting down and writing that. There are some on this site with very different views. I am a Bill Self fan, not a worshiper, but he did better than any other coach could with the hand he was dealt. How he handled BG with the many suspensions that brought praise from BG's father when both talked about his return this year - how he won the league for an 11th time with no real big man to speak of - how he has created two of the best guards not only in the Big12, but in the nation. I for one appreciate his blunt honesty. There are many in the media that are trying to slow down the KU perpetual show and get the spotlight back to the East Coast where the gazillion TV $'s are. Sarcasm is a weak form of argument when a National Championship is required every year. I am personally proud to be despised by all other college fans that hate our dynasty. When those who think that Self is past his prime and chase him out of town because he deserves his demise, I'll quit this site and leave it to the haters.
What brand is he wearing?
Anyone know what this is suppose to mean?
I remember when I was sixteen and was 6'2", the coach gathered us around after the first tryouts and told us that "Some of you won't make the team because you are simply not tall enough." He didn't mention skill or anything else, just height.
@JayHawkFanToo
Always thought Jeff hit 7'.
nope.
THESE ARE THE COUNTRIES WE HAVE TO FACE IN ORDER TO ADVANCE AND TAKE HOME THE GOLD. HERE ARE THE COUNTRIES AND SOME FAMOUS PEOPLE WHO WERE BORN THERE.
Horrible news about Brannen. I feel bad about criticizing his handle, not knowing he needed hip surgery.
Those kids must have some very proud parents.
I had an idea that was what you were talking about.

If they have kids, that child will have some eyebrows!
Too bad Dylan and Dakota left the team.

...and the new DeBruce Center for the Rules of Basketball.
Where do I sign?
Fibonacci? Isn't that a 7 grain pasta? Diacritically speaking, it's a Black Matter.
I love what happens to these topics when we have no basketball going on. Compare the blogs towards the end with the actual topics. I'm glad to learn more about Jaybate and his graduate school escapades at Wisconsin.
I think I remember a story on ESPN a while back aout George Carl and his heart problems. The TV crew filmed him while wearing his heart monitor which his doctors had installed to track his stress. During the game, which went into overtime, the heart rate was over 170 for a long period of time and the camera close ups showed him wiping sweat off of his entire head, which had very little hair anyway.
I too have heart problems and to see Hoiberg have a second open heart and go right back into coaching gives me strength. Like @nuleafjhawk I too am not an ISU fan but I have so much admiration for the coaches and players that bust their ass trying to beat us and all of the other teams in the BIG 12.
The reason Weber was given the job again this year was that no rising star coach would dare walk into the ruined wreckage of KSU Basketball.
I don't believe that Weber or Ford will keep their jobs next year.
I think I have to pronounce the Company differently now. instead of
"uh deed us" it would now be "Ahdee dahs" sort of like Annie Hall's
La di da.
The other Nazi tie-in might be the Company who sponsored the Final Four broadcast, Koch Industries, featuring children wearing WSU shirts shooting baskets.
So does this mean that Brannen will still not be a starter in his Junior year? Pretty high expectations for the few minutes he got this year.
When you're in San Diego receiving the award, take some photos to send back to the KU Bucket Brigade.
Way to go Jessie!

Bo Ryan's coaching career before 2000. Most of it was spent coming to KC for the NAIA. These are the schools where talent HAS to be developed. Maybe if MU doesn't Bail on Kim Anderson and allows him to get some 3 stars and maybe a 4 star, they might make a comeback. Of course I doubt that will ever happen.
Except Josh Gasser and Jordan Hill who doesn't play, all of Wisconsins players come from within a 300 miles radius of the school. 8 of their players are from Wisconsin. It has been 41 years since they have been in the championship game. When the star's align, they align.
