At least we'll be able to practice 4 times against a full game full court press. I don't think Five Stars like to press for a full game. In regards to OSU, the possible buyout and subsequent mind change has ruined recruiting for Okie State. What happened to Barnes has just happened to Ford.
@nuleafjhawk Hello dear, this is your wife. Yes I do read KU Buckets and you are sleeping on the couch tonight!
Right now we seem to be in the Final Four every 4 years and that's not good enough for most of the bloggers on this sight. If coach would only let the bloggers do the recruiting and the coaching we'd all be better off, right. As it stand, next year will be the fourth year, and that is the year we are supposed to be back in the FF. Calipari would have been fired if our bloggers were UK fans the year they lost in a high school gym in the NIT. I'm in Bill Self's corner. I for one am resigned to the fact that UK vs Wisc was predetermined last year when they met and the 10 OAD's vs the Seniors would of course be there again. Most of the people act as if Self should have said no to Wiggins and Embid to let Brannen learn how to handle a ball and play defense. I too miss the 5th year seniors like Conner Teahan and Jeff Withey that took us to the Final Four. He received Coach of the year awards this year from many in the media for winning the conference with smoke and mirrors and it seems as if everyone hates him because of a fresh memory of a loss which is always tough when you are intent on winning it all.
@drgnslayr That spark was not losing Brandon because of a knee injury and having him return to KU to play an extra year. Also not having to sit Darrell because his Math transcripts were not discovered until after the season and the NCAA was the one that certified him. Also, having the whole team turn pro after the season helped to light the spark.
@RockChalkinTexas I've been reading his twitter and he definitely does have a beauty that apparently likes his hair cut as much as you do. Someone like Kelly probably should not get married too quickly knowing what goes on in each city. Someone once asked Elgin Baylor, "What is the toughest thing about the NBA?" His answer was, "Convincing my wife that she probably had contracted my Urinary Tract Infection."
So if we win # 12 and lose in the sweet 16 you won't ride the train any more. Will you still be posting?
Experience and strength. What we need.
Monday. The job will be Marshall's if he wants it. I doubt he will even listen to Alabama with the total package that Texas can offer with $ and the recruiting in Texas. The big obstacle that might stop him from leaving the Missouri Valley would be the Tea Party Money from the Koch Bros. Although Texas is a football school, Basketball would catch fire if a winner could return to Austin. The Facilities, the draw of a fun city like Austin and the recruiting advantages would make it a destination job for any coach. The kind of drama we went through with Self and OSU will be replayed throughout the days to come. Enjoy the ride. By the way, He would be foolish to leave WSU for Alabama.
I have heard rumors that the Texas Job will open up on Monday and the longhorns are going to try and $ Wrestle for the services of Mr. Shocker. It seems to me that the Koch Bros.Tea Party Money comes from a bottomless pit.
@HighEliteMajor Deep. I enjoyed your post this year. See you in Korea.
I hope Brannen doesn't read this.
OMG - Bill Self knows what he talking about.
@KUSTEVE My new Missouri, love it.
KU is favored by 1.5 pts tomorrow.

@JayHawkFanToo It was a joke.
@wissoxfan83 Then he sprained his ankle and probably won't get to play against UK.
Watching the Manhattan/Hampton game last night scared me. There is some spectacular ball being played by the play-in teams. Last year, one of them made it to the Sweet 16. One of the things that has seemed to happen in the last 5 years is that there are rarely any blow outs in the Tourney. I remember first hearing the phrase, "Win and Advance" from Jim Valvano. There should be no bitching on this site about "We should have beat them by much more." Style points don't count, a win does, however it came about. The 2012 team had the best attitude going into the tourney, I'd love to bottle it and give to every new Jayhawk team.
Coach had to do some recruiting so he will fly in later on the school's private Gulfstream'
Tyler is either Cripp or a Blood or it is something he and Evan shared at recess in elementary school.
Didn't see the other post with this pic.

@RockChalkinTexas During the Memphis game, I remember being 9 points down with 1:56 left to play. I was sad and had resigned myself to think of 2008 as a great year and just falling short. then this happened -
My Jayhawk daughter called right then from NY and stayed on the phone with me for the entire overtime period for the most memorable father/daughter conversation of my life. Remember, Emily Dickinson said the "Hope is the thing with feathers." Jayhawks have feathers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@RockChalkinTexas Let the men fix the luncheon. Scream with joy until the neighbors complain.
After reading all that has been written, how did Bill Self coach this team to win a Conference Championship in the toughest Conference in America from top to bottom? Obama specifically mentioned Perry Ellis on National TV while making out his Brackets picking KU to win the first two games and losing to ND. We are a great team. The faults we see are obvious, yet we can grind better than any other team in the tournament. The problem is, when there is a powerful inside tree-lined team like UK or a beautiful team like Wisconsin, grinding might not work. I'd like to get past ND or whomever is there after WSU and then win or at least be respectable against UK. Texas came close to beating them this year, and remember, Texas is our lowest seed.
Do they have a female point guard on their team? Is she an assistant coach?
That picture was the David Letterman Top Ten List.
His mother won't release certain financial papers to the NCAA.

Such is the case when the "Self is a Poopy head for not playing Cliff more minutes, crowd" died down when Cliff would get four fouls in 10 minutes two games in a row. I still don't understand HEM blaming Self for Brannen's shooting slump. Maybe it was always that he wanted Self to overlook his poor ball handling skills and toreador defense so that he could shoot himself out of his 0 - 80 slump. Like I said before, I can be a sarcastic SOB. Like the beautiful Olivia Wilde, AKA crimsonorblue22 once said, Casting blame is such a negative commentary. These are unpaid young men that are banged up, giving their all for KU. Devonte cried in the locker room after the game while Kelly expresses his love for Kansas at every interview. It is hard to win a national championship every 20 years. Sometimes other teams have better cards to play. Coach is a better card player but it is hard to beat a Royal flush.
Sam was involved in one of the last big civil rights cases in Kansas City when the Rockhill Racket Club refused him membership. He died last year as a resident of Kansas City. He held his own against Chamberlain and Kareem. Bob Cousey was the coach and I remember the night Tiny fouled out after Sam had fouled out against the Lakers. Cousey was then kicked out of the game and the KC Kings went into overtime to defeat the Lakers that had Gail Goodrich and Wilt with his Head Band. In my life I've never seen anyone who could score inside the paint, no matter who was playing defense better that Nate Archibald. When he would score, Kareem would just shake his head as if he could not believe that anyone could make a defensive player look so stupid.
