Watching Huggy Bear and Notre Dame. WVU off to a great start leading 10-0.

Mar 18, 2017 04:17 PM #2

Let’s go Mountaineers! Time to stomp a Leprechaun out! Show em how little offense you really have.

Mar 18, 2017 05:27 PM #3

WV guards doing a nice job drawing contact

Mar 18, 2017 05:28 PM #4

Ohhhhhh! Press is on!

Mar 18, 2017 05:33 PM #5

ACC/ND whistle gonna start changing this game.

Mar 18, 2017 05:43 PM #6

@wissox And maybe not.

Mar 18, 2017 06:11 PM #7

Bonzie Colson is just...a basketball player. Short, fat center but just knows how to hoop. Give me some players like that any day.

Mar 18, 2017 06:14 PM #8

Go Huggy bear!!

Mar 18, 2017 06:25 PM #9

8-1

Mar 18, 2017 06:25 PM #10

"How are you going to celebrate?"

"I'm going to go recruit."

This is why Huggie Bear is going to be our archrival for years to come.

Mar 18, 2017 06:27 PM #11

@KirkIsMyHinrich yeah big 12 has owned the ACC.

Mar 18, 2017 06:33 PM #12

Good win for the B12, got a good shot to get 3 or 4 in to the sweet 16. I agree that the ACC has been the better league most years but when you get 9 or 10 teams in every year the deck is always stacked in your favor. B12 2-0 vs ACC and 5-2 overall currently.

Mar 18, 2017 06:35 PM #13

@kjayhawks 6-2 if you count the play-in game for the Kitty Cats.

Mar 18, 2017 06:38 PM #14

HMMM, wonder if ACC can see how sweet that Big 12 Patch looks on those uniforms. - -WVU lead from wire to wire - -Carter was Big. - -We just need to step up also tomorrow let them see the Big 12. . - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Mar 18, 2017 06:42 PM #15

@Crimsonorblue22 just saw a Jayhawk pic behind Barkley. It was Kleinmann Darrell and someone (a guard I think, didn't see quick enough)

Mar 18, 2017 06:55 PM #16

I'm now officially chagrined that UW is an 8 seed, but Nova's probably chagrined as well, so we'll see what happens.

Mar 18, 2017 07:18 PM #17

Nova's already spent more time trailing this year

Mar 18, 2017 07:33 PM #18

@approxinfinity

I like HuggyBear. Sure he's a redneck. But a damn good coach, too, and his players love him to death.

My only concern is his health. It is extremely bad. Bad to the point that I'm about 90% sure he will undergo a medical procedure or two in the off-season. He has a bad ticker and I think he is diabetic and maybe more issues.

I hope he starts taking better care of himself. I'd sure hate to lose him.

Mar 18, 2017 07:33 PM #19

Only reason Wisconsin aint up 12 is 7 turnovers and let up 9 second chance points.

Mar 18, 2017 07:34 PM #20

Stripes doing everything they can to keep villnova in it

Mar 18, 2017 07:35 PM #21

@wissox

I see Nova gets the same deal Duke gets with refs. What a friggin' rip off!

It's one thing if you get a bad call here and there. This entire Nova comeback has only happened because of continual bad calls against UW.

Mar 18, 2017 07:38 PM #22

I'm watching with the sound off as announcers are now making excuses for refs

Mar 18, 2017 07:39 PM #23

@wissox

I can't handle that part. You have to wonder what game they are watching...

Mar 18, 2017 07:42 PM #24

Does Nova even have a player over 6'8"?

Mar 18, 2017 07:47 PM #25

Watch this. Wright called time out.

The refs will do what they are supposed to do and will put time back on the clock. That is the right thing to do but it usually doesn't happen for teams not named "nova" or "duke."

Mar 18, 2017 07:48 PM #26

Will be interesting second half because Wisconsin has Happ out with 2 fouls most of the half but Nova got every call and couldn't hit a shot to save their lives. Will Nova feel some pressure if this game stays close thru out the second half?

Mar 18, 2017 07:50 PM #27

Watch that divencio. He pushes off, carries the ball constantly. No one's called it yet.

Mar 18, 2017 07:53 PM #28

Really enjoying this game as a basketball fan. The key players are making plays and seems like both teams have been very well scouted. Hoping Wisconsin can keep Jenkins cold and keep hitting 3's when they are open.

Mar 18, 2017 07:55 PM #29

If Wisconsin wins, most brackets will take a huge hit.

Mar 18, 2017 07:55 PM #30

Happ was feasting before officials took him out. 1 reserve on illnova has 2 fouls.

Mar 18, 2017 07:59 PM #31

Come on Wisconsin

Mar 18, 2017 08:02 PM #32

@JayHawkFanToo I actually picked it in one of my brackets. Nova has lived pretty close to the edge against average teams, like us lol. That and I thought Wisconsin should've been a 6 seed.

Mar 18, 2017 08:05 PM #33

You know Nova is gonna come out fired up, these first five minutes will be huge. Lets go Badgers!!

Mar 18, 2017 08:08 PM #34

I just got to say you guys are nice tolerating me talking Wisconsin. I try not to do it too much because I know I could come across as annoying. If I do I apologize. I try never to say 'we' when referring to them, because KU is my team, but 15 years of living in Badger territory meant I latched on as I arrived when they became relevant in basketball. Interestingly though as a Chicago kid, I could never switch allegiances to the Packers, although sometimes I wish I had.

There's going to be a hole in my viewing next season as Hayes, Showalter, Koenig, and Brown leave, and obviously as Frank Mason leaves as well.

Mar 18, 2017 08:14 PM #35

Already 2 weak ass fouls on Wisconsin.

Mar 18, 2017 08:15 PM #36

A S Y M M E T R I C A L

O F F I C I A T I N G

Mar 18, 2017 08:18 PM #37

This is unbelievable. They will not give UW a call except for the occasional makeup call.

Mar 18, 2017 08:23 PM #38

Nova run here I bet

Mar 18, 2017 08:24 PM #39

Oh it's believable. Just like Kansas last year. Constant mugging from their trapping and phantom calls against Devonte

Mar 18, 2017 08:24 PM #40

Nova refs front and center

Mar 18, 2017 08:25 PM #41

Now they remove bronson with another crap call

Mar 18, 2017 08:25 PM #42

Did they start falling before he really made contact? Maybe not quite, but wow.

Mar 18, 2017 08:26 PM #43

Wondering if the WI player had fallen when the offense ran into his chest if he'd have gotten a call.

Mar 18, 2017 08:26 PM #44

Wisconsin isn't playing defense either

Mar 18, 2017 08:27 PM #45

No worries getting stepped on isn't a call

Mar 18, 2017 08:29 PM #46

Starting to appear this one isn't going Wisconsin's way

Mar 18, 2017 08:29 PM #47

Well, wisky had a nice first half but it looks like nova is going to advance. Foul problems have been an issue

Mar 18, 2017 08:29 PM #48

All of the teams with the best chance to beat nova will have to eliminate each other coming from the other side of the brackets.

Mar 18, 2017 08:30 PM #49

Underwood leaving Oklahoma st for Illinois.. LOL

Mar 18, 2017 08:30 PM #50

@BeddieKU23 This is where some games have gotten away from them this season. Hopefully the offiicials....yeah right.

Mar 18, 2017 08:30 PM #51

@Blown man, people forget about Virginia - nova beat them at home on a buzzer beater.

Mar 18, 2017 08:30 PM #52

Its done now with Wisconsin in deep foul trouble this early, Nova wins bye 12.

Mar 18, 2017 08:31 PM #53

@HawkChamp at Nova ? Or own place ?

Mar 18, 2017 08:32 PM #54

@Blown at nova.

Mar 18, 2017 08:32 PM #55

@drgnslayr it's a good point. He's in all likelyhood still a heavy drinker and he needs to cut that out while he still can.

Mar 18, 2017 08:33 PM #56

@BeddieKU23 said:

No worries getting stepped on isn't a call

What about fallen on? Like Svi on his 3 defense.

Mar 18, 2017 08:34 PM #57

One major factor is Jay wright talks to refs and greg gard NEVER does. seriously, bo ryan would've probably gotten kicked out by now

Mar 18, 2017 08:35 PM #58

Will make it so Underwood can go to Kstate after next year

Mar 18, 2017 08:37 PM #59

You have to put Koenig back in soon

Mar 18, 2017 08:42 PM #60

@kjayhawks Why so the refs can give him his 5th foul of the half? I agree with what you said by the way, but, I'm pisssed!

Mar 18, 2017 08:43 PM #61

@Bwag His defense was pretty good yesterday!

Mar 18, 2017 08:48 PM #62

Not helping themselves with 6-14 at the foul line. Missed 3 big ones down the stretch here already.

Mar 18, 2017 08:48 PM #63

Wisky has really shot itself in the foot with fouling and missed free throws

Mar 18, 2017 08:49 PM #64

Wisconsin killing themselves at the line now, I don't know why you wait til your down 7 to put one of your best back in, bye then its too late. He may aswell fouled out at this point.

Mar 18, 2017 08:57 PM #65

Tie game!! OMG!

Mar 18, 2017 08:59 PM #66

which ever team plays Defense wins!!

Mar 18, 2017 09:01 PM #67

@wissox does your bracket have WI advancing here?

Mar 18, 2017 09:02 PM #68

That's why I said put in Koenig minutes ago!!!

Mar 18, 2017 09:02 PM #69

Wisconsin really needs a bucket here

Mar 18, 2017 09:03 PM #70

I have wiscy in my bracket by Choice and Villanova in bracket by Ken Pom defensive efficiency

Mar 18, 2017 09:03 PM #71

@Bwag mine doesn't. this would kill BOY OH BOY this is a killer game!!

Mar 18, 2017 09:03 PM #72

@Blown I only did one

Mar 18, 2017 09:04 PM #73

@Lulufulu said:

@Bwag mine doesn't. this would kill BOY OH BOY this is a killer game!!

This would kill my bracket, but I'd love it.

Mar 18, 2017 09:05 PM #74

What an idiotic play to stop in a trap.

Mar 18, 2017 09:05 PM #75

@kjayhawks again, shooting themselves in the foot.

Mar 18, 2017 09:06 PM #76

terrible call if truly remains an intentional

Mar 18, 2017 09:06 PM #77

Wow

Mar 18, 2017 09:06 PM #78

@Bwag not seeing that

Mar 18, 2017 09:07 PM #79

Chance to win here

Mar 18, 2017 09:08 PM #80

Such a dumb call run a play.

Mar 18, 2017 09:08 PM #81

All you do is let nova pack that line and talk about it

Mar 18, 2017 09:08 PM #82

I can get junior high kids not to stop in the corner for a trap, that's a college senior.

Mar 18, 2017 09:08 PM #83

Got to score here.

Mar 18, 2017 09:09 PM #84

Hayes

Mar 18, 2017 09:09 PM #85

And there it is!

Mar 18, 2017 09:10 PM #86

Nova play for tie or win here?

Mar 18, 2017 09:10 PM #87

@Bwag my money is they shoot a 3.

Mar 18, 2017 09:10 PM #88

No one shining moment shot!

Mar 18, 2017 09:10 PM #89

@Bwag i would go for a drive to the basket

Mar 18, 2017 09:10 PM #90

They will play for win

Mar 18, 2017 09:10 PM #91

Either a 3 or hart will drive to draw a foul

Mar 18, 2017 09:11 PM #92

Flagrant!

Mar 18, 2017 09:12 PM #93

Wow!!

Mar 18, 2017 09:12 PM #94

Game!!!!

Mar 18, 2017 09:12 PM #95

No more Nova!

Mar 18, 2017 09:12 PM #96

OMFG

Mar 18, 2017 09:12 PM #97

@globaljaybird yep. They're done

Mar 18, 2017 09:13 PM #98

Is this at all like a mirror to our game tomorrow?

Mar 18, 2017 09:13 PM #99

@Bwag said:

nope

Mar 18, 2017 09:13 PM #100

Pretty cool

Mar 18, 2017 09:13 PM #101

Crazyy

Mar 18, 2017 09:14 PM #102

Congrats @wissox

Mar 18, 2017 09:14 PM #103

Way to go @wissox

Mar 18, 2017 09:14 PM #104

@BeddieKU23 Certainly hope not...but another Big X team trying to play spoiler?

Mar 18, 2017 09:14 PM #105

@Bwag double nope

Mar 18, 2017 09:15 PM #106

@Bwag said:

@BeddieKU23 Certainly hope not...but another Big X team trying to play spoiler?

Wisconsin is a team full of veterans.

Michigan St is down 3 players to injury and relying on freshman and walkons

Mar 18, 2017 09:15 PM #107

WOW!! I did NOT see that coming! crumples up all brackets

Mar 18, 2017 09:15 PM #108

Villanova has resumed normal choking operations!!!!

Congrats @wissox

Mar 18, 2017 09:16 PM #109

That is why it is hard to repeat. Things need to go your way. Some things went Nova's way last year (like the Graham call). This year they didn't....like the play on Hart.

Mar 18, 2017 09:16 PM #110

@Hawk8086 said:

Bruh. Don't trigger me with that Graham call.

Mar 18, 2017 09:16 PM #111

@Hawk8086 yep. It takes a really special group to do that.

Mar 18, 2017 09:16 PM #112

@Crimsonorblue22 Thought Nova would win on dat Philly Pflop ! 😜

Mar 18, 2017 09:17 PM #113

@BeddieKU23 thx for the breakdown.

Mar 18, 2017 09:17 PM #114

Congrats @wissox solid win by your Badgers!

Mar 18, 2017 09:18 PM #115

But that did blow my bracket probably like a large % of the population. But I'm okay with that!

OVERALL#1 GOES DOWN in 1st WEEKEND.

Mar 18, 2017 09:18 PM #116

@Bwag said:

@BeddieKU23 thx for the breakdown.

We should just be confident. This is izzos least talented team in a decade maybe.

Let's hope the boys play like we know they can

Mar 18, 2017 09:18 PM #117

YEEEEHAWWWWW!!!

Go Jayhawks

Mar 18, 2017 09:19 PM #118

@BShark Sorry

Mar 18, 2017 09:19 PM #119

I don't feel bad in saying I'm glad they are gone. Nova that is.

Mar 18, 2017 09:19 PM #120

!IMG_20170318_161500.jpg β†—
Called it about half but screwed up the other half lol.

Agree.

Mar 18, 2017 09:21 PM #122

Figured Duke would get them. Great win for @wissox not so much for my bracket.

Mar 18, 2017 09:21 PM #123

@BeddieKU23 I agree...but Izzo's been uncanny in the tournament and they ran away from Miami...I didn't watch it very closely.

Mar 18, 2017 09:21 PM #124

@BeddieKU23 last year is still fresh in my memory. We have had many disappointments too - don't feel sorry for them.

Mar 18, 2017 09:24 PM #125

@Bwag said:

@BeddieKU23 I agree...but Izzo's been uncanny in the tournament and they ran away from Miami...I didn't watch it very closely.

And Miami was an equally terrible team. Someone had to win. Michigan St pulled away impressively but they will have to play the game of their life and have KU play it's worst.

Mar 18, 2017 09:26 PM #126

@BeddieKU23 And now our guys have a good wakeup to re-enforce the focus.

Mar 18, 2017 09:34 PM #127

@BeddieKU23

Miami could no score...there is no way KU shoots 40% and 25% from 3. MSU did not play that well, they won big because how poorly Miami played.

Mar 18, 2017 09:38 PM #128

Glad we didn't get the number overall seed, it's a curse my friends.

Mar 18, 2017 09:52 PM #129

It'll be a long day for Michigan State if Devonte and Svi start up where they left off.

Mar 18, 2017 10:25 PM #130

@approxinfinity !IMG_2916.JPG β†—

Mar 18, 2017 10:30 PM #131

Figures that the one year Villanova doesn't choke in the first weekend they beat KU. But, that's the tourney for ya.

Mar 18, 2017 11:25 PM #132

Gonzaga In a DOG Fight - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Mar 18, 2017 11:32 PM #133

@jayballer54 looks like they're gonna hang on now

Mar 18, 2017 11:34 PM #134

Watch him during games. He is struggling... big time!

Mar 18, 2017 11:36 PM #135

@Crimsonorblue22 haha we weren't drinking!

Mar 18, 2017 11:45 PM #136

Let's pray we don't get those Nova/Wisc refs next weekend. I thought we've had some battles that included the refs, but I don't think anything like what Wisc faced. Was like the calls depended on what end of the court they were at.

Mar 18, 2017 11:46 PM #137

@Crimsonorblue22

Welp, more flashbacks now. 12-30 noooooooooo.

Mar 19, 2017 12:00 AM #138

@Bwag ya, it does. - -gave them a scare - -I don't think they are going to make it. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Mar 19, 2017 12:16 AM #139

Florida St loses by 25 to Xavier? Wut?

Mar 19, 2017 12:17 AM #140

Wow big upset day as Florida State gets destroyed bye Xavier.

Mar 19, 2017 12:17 AM #141

@KirkIsMyHinrich

Their coach is below wet napkin in the coach rankings.

Mar 19, 2017 12:20 AM #142

@BShark ACC could use a UVA win tonight. I have Florida winning that game, though.

Mar 19, 2017 12:20 AM #143

@KirkIsMyHinrich

ACC needs to flame out. Duke and UNC are really good though.

Mar 19, 2017 12:53 AM #144

The Orca is sweating. Good, get all the upsets out of the way today please lol.

Mar 19, 2017 12:56 AM #145

Is there a coach in the tournament who has more pressure on him to advance in the tournament and make a Final Four than Sean Miller?

Mar 19, 2017 01:03 AM #146

@KirkIsMyHinrich In a different way, Mark Few and Gonzaga would fit that bill. The monkey will remain on one of their shoulders...

Mar 19, 2017 01:03 AM #147

BTW - I will be at the games in SJ next weekend in case anyone else here is headed to the games...

Mar 19, 2017 01:05 AM #148

@bskeet True. Good point.

It may remain on both of their shoulders. WVU looked pretty good today.

Mar 19, 2017 01:08 AM #149

If -- and it's an unlikely IF -- Arizona loses, it removes the team that could have a home town advantage from the Final Four (in Phoenix).

Mar 19, 2017 01:19 AM #150

Not tooting my own :trumpet: but look below!!!!!!!!!!

!3.18.JPG β†—

Mar 19, 2017 01:20 AM #151

Biggest shock of the tournament so far is what Xavier did to FSU today. Wisconsin still has core pieces from their title game team a couple of years ago so we know they're a good team capable of beating anyone. Xavier though was a team that played like crap down the stretch since Sumner went down, but they have looked like the top 10 team they were prior to the injury so far.

I also think Arizona got jobbed in getting St. Mary's as their 7 seed because St. Mary's was a top 20 team most of the year.

Mar 19, 2017 01:33 AM #152

@RockChalkinTexas toot away

Mar 19, 2017 02:21 AM #153

Gaels getting hosed too This is incredible how many egregious calls I'm seeing today

Mar 19, 2017 02:21 AM #154

@Crimsonorblue22 Swanigan kickin ISU's butt. .Purdue handles Burton & they win. Mun Tay will delete himself... IMO We will beat Purdue wit da box & one...Take it to the bank !!

Mar 19, 2017 02:23 AM #155

Purdue is a bad match up

Mar 19, 2017 02:29 AM #156

@globaljaybird zone is the best answer against their big guys.

Mar 19, 2017 02:37 AM #157

ISU shooting came back to earth.

Mar 19, 2017 02:38 AM #158

Looking bad for isu at the half, but I think they will heat up and win. Not really worried about Purdue as a matchup anyway

Mar 19, 2017 02:42 AM #159

@Hawk8086 yep. As the xavier-florida st and wvu-notre dame games proved, one bad shooting game for you and a good night for your opponent and you will be going home.

Mar 19, 2017 02:43 AM #160

Oh my goodness. My brackets are all crap!

Good, now I can concentrate on KU.

Mar 19, 2017 02:44 AM #161

@RockChalkinTexas congrats.

I dropped like a rock, but still 4th? Have to recheck after next couple games.

Mar 19, 2017 02:48 AM #162

@Texas-Hawk-10 Ya I not sure I've seen a 11 seed flatout beat the living daylights outta a 3 seed like that.

Mar 19, 2017 02:54 AM #163

@Blown Cant count chickens but I don't want ISU at Sprint . Will take Painter & a week to prepare.
.Calculated risk... no Fran included.

Mar 19, 2017 03:01 AM #164

I'm gonna quote one of our old friends and say it now. "I'm scared" @stupidmichael, if you're still around!

Mar 19, 2017 03:02 AM #165

@wissox yeah Purdue looks good and ISU cooling off.

Mar 19, 2017 03:18 AM #166

@HawkChamp Their size worries me

Mar 19, 2017 03:20 AM #167

Can ISU pull it back in and take this?

Mar 19, 2017 03:20 AM #168

I'd rather play a consistently good team than a team that can pull 18 3's out there you know what

Mar 19, 2017 03:20 AM #169

@Bwag well? Good question?

Mar 19, 2017 03:21 AM #170

The NCAA should be embarrassed to seed a Florida State as the 10th best team...what were they thinking?...or drinking?

Mar 19, 2017 03:21 AM #171

@Crimsonorblue22 I just got back home...saw them way down and now they're hitting some shots.

Mar 19, 2017 03:21 AM #172

And a steal and 2 more

Mar 19, 2017 03:23 AM #173

From 19 down to down 3

Mar 19, 2017 03:23 AM #174

@Bwag

ISU cut the deficit from 16 to 3...they must think they are KU...

Mar 19, 2017 03:24 AM #175

Burton was a man on that last dunk

Mar 19, 2017 03:24 AM #176

Bad call there.

Mar 19, 2017 03:25 AM #177

@Bwag that was a mans dunk

Mar 19, 2017 03:25 AM #178

ISU is gonna have to get over the hump here coming out of this time out, I think. Hate to see them lose the edge and fall back.

Mar 19, 2017 03:26 AM #179

@HawkChamp said:

@Bwag that was a mans dunk

Surprised me...I was thinking great drive and lay in when he broke completely open...then bam!

Mar 19, 2017 03:31 AM #180

Wow. Down 1 now.

Mar 19, 2017 03:31 AM #181

Why is Haas sitting ?

Mar 19, 2017 03:32 AM #182

Edwards got the full Burton freight train on that one.

Mar 19, 2017 03:32 AM #183

Can't stop Burton one on one

Mar 19, 2017 03:33 AM #184

Especially when he buries his shoulder into your sternum

Mar 19, 2017 03:34 AM #185

@Crimsonorblue22 i dont think anyone can stop him one on one.

Mar 19, 2017 03:34 AM #186

I finally placed it. Prohm looks like Joaquin Phoenix

Mar 19, 2017 03:35 AM #187

Shouldn't have left swanigan out so long

Mar 19, 2017 03:35 AM #188

@Blown can't let him catch it

Mar 19, 2017 03:37 AM #189

I can't root for a Big 10c team over Big 12

Mar 19, 2017 03:37 AM #190

Sweet, all tied up!

Mar 19, 2017 03:37 AM #191

TIED

Mar 19, 2017 03:38 AM #192

Swanigan is getting predictable

Mar 19, 2017 03:38 AM #193

And chance to go ahead!

Mar 19, 2017 03:38 AM #194

Purdue is gonna be done. All nerves now after blowing a 19 pt lead

Mar 19, 2017 03:39 AM #195

@Blown said:

Purdue is gonna be done. All nerves now after blowing a 19 pt lead

That last 3 may give them some life...I'd say the next 2:30 seconds is going to determing this

Mar 19, 2017 03:39 AM #196

@Bwag lol captain nostraobvious.

Mar 19, 2017 03:40 AM #197

I'm going for the announcers curse

Mar 19, 2017 03:40 AM #198

@approxinfinity Caught that did you?!

Mar 19, 2017 03:41 AM #199

I want Purdue

Mar 19, 2017 03:41 AM #200

Who y'all going for ?

Mar 19, 2017 03:41 AM #201

I like Iowa State but I agree Purdue is better for us. Iowa State has too many weopons.

Mar 19, 2017 03:41 AM #202

Mon tay w/to

Mar 19, 2017 03:42 AM #203

I think we'd be highly motivated v ISU.

Hopefully, we're highly motivated regardless of who we're playing.

Mar 19, 2017 03:43 AM #204

ISU letting it slip

Mar 19, 2017 03:43 AM #205

Iowa st will be highly motivated and very familiar and half the crowd also

Mar 19, 2017 03:44 AM #206

@Blown true

Mar 19, 2017 03:44 AM #207

Purdue needed to run some clock

Mar 19, 2017 03:44 AM #208

And another push off by burton

Mar 19, 2017 03:45 AM #209

@Blown bet they call next one

Mar 19, 2017 03:45 AM #210

@approxinfinity agreed.

Mar 19, 2017 03:45 AM #211

ISU blowing it in the last minute. Still plenty of time...

Mar 19, 2017 03:45 AM #212

Heart is with ISU due to the Big 12 ties.

My bracket says Purdue though...so I'm covered.

I won't worry about which one from KU perspective until we win tomorrow.

Mar 19, 2017 03:45 AM #213

@Blown said:

And another push off by burton

Seems completely random when officials call this or not.

Mar 19, 2017 03:46 AM #214

Pass into swanigan spin right. Strip.

Mar 19, 2017 03:46 AM #215

Whoa...ISU ball

Great game call and no calls

Mar 19, 2017 03:47 AM #216

Send IowaSt home. If Purdue doesnt, then we will. Its what the Clone fans need. Dont care about IowaState B12 connection. I'll root for WVU the whole tourney, but not IowaSt. I was even rooting for KSU, but I knew their offense is very unpredictable and usually not a smooth thing.

Mar 19, 2017 03:47 AM #217

Purdue BIG...gotta get your big boy pants on against Purdue

Mar 19, 2017 03:48 AM #218

@ralster

With you :100: brother.

Mar 19, 2017 03:48 AM #219

But that body contact was a foul!

Mar 19, 2017 03:48 AM #220

@Blown

Unreal!

Mar 19, 2017 03:49 AM #221

Burton block from nowhere

Mar 19, 2017 03:49 AM #222

Been going on all game

Mar 19, 2017 03:49 AM #223

Burton fast for a big body

Mar 19, 2017 03:49 AM #224

Wow Burton...

Mar 19, 2017 03:50 AM #225

Still gotta foul if Purdue gets it

Mar 19, 2017 03:50 AM #226

Someone needs to teach Swain how to "PUMP FAKE" and jam

Mar 19, 2017 03:50 AM #227

@Blown Burton block? No body contact there that I saw...

Not sure what they were reviewing.

Mar 19, 2017 03:50 AM #228

The have to steal the inbound

Mar 19, 2017 03:50 AM #229

Good block @Bwag

Mar 19, 2017 03:50 AM #230

Heard that during a WVU game, Huggins' internal cardiac defibrillator actually fired off, and he momentarily dropped to a knee. But he stayed and kept coaching. Medically, that is supposed to be a mandatory trip to the ER for full evaluation.

My hat's off to Huggins and his dedication to his players and his alma mater.

Mar 19, 2017 03:50 AM #231

Clown fold?

Mar 19, 2017 03:51 AM #232

Puts both hands on back? That was a flagrant yesterday

Mar 19, 2017 03:51 AM #233

Lol at how long these reviews take.

Mar 19, 2017 03:51 AM #234

Where's the cocky "call me" hand jestures?

Mar 19, 2017 03:51 AM #235

Burton listed as a guard I think

Mar 19, 2017 03:51 AM #236

Virginia was terrible...They sat on 17 points for how long? I'm gonna have to look that up.

Mar 19, 2017 03:52 AM #237

Blew their chance...needed a RB

Mar 19, 2017 03:52 AM #238

MORE REVIEWS! YAY!!!!

Mar 19, 2017 03:52 AM #239

Prohm choking himself?

Mar 19, 2017 03:53 AM #240

ISU downfall is NO INSIDE game

Mar 19, 2017 03:53 AM #241

Get ready to go to stub hub. Massive ticket selll off for regionals

Mar 19, 2017 03:53 AM #242

@truehawk93 said:

ISU downfall is NO INSIDE game

Which is partly what worries me about us. Not that we have none...but it's thin

Mar 19, 2017 03:53 AM #243

HA! Go home Cyclones! Good players, but dumb fans await at home...

Mar 19, 2017 03:54 AM #244

The trey is sexy but loses in the end without an inside game...great year ISU, so close but yet so far

Mar 19, 2017 03:54 AM #245

Iowa state is good. So are these boilermakers.

Mar 19, 2017 03:54 AM #246

@Blown said:

I am aroused.

Mar 19, 2017 03:54 AM #247

@truehawk93 yep. You have to have someone down there. You can see the difference between nova last year with Ochefu and nova this year without him.

Mar 19, 2017 03:55 AM #248

TIME TO HOP ON CYFAN. THEY WERE JUST SURE THEY WOULD GET TO KC AND BEAT KU.

Mar 19, 2017 03:55 AM #249

Let's get a win tomorrow. Be a good game.

Mar 19, 2017 03:55 AM #250

@BShark

TMI...πŸ˜„

Mar 19, 2017 03:55 AM #251

ISU had no amswer for Swanigan, LL is good enough to disrupt Swanigan.

Mar 19, 2017 03:55 AM #252

@Bwag you dont need two or three seven footers to win, look at nova last year

Mar 19, 2017 03:56 AM #253

Let's focus on MSU....one game at a time

Mar 19, 2017 03:56 AM #254

@ralster said:

HA! Go home Cyclones! Good players, but dumb fans await at home...

Agree with you about the fans...but credit Hoiberg at ISU for the influence on Self that has helped us be successful this year.

Mar 19, 2017 03:56 AM #255

@BShark thats why overconfidence should always be avoided.

Mar 19, 2017 03:56 AM #256

Hey, um y'all realize we have to beat MSU first right. Let's not count our chickens before they hatch.

Mar 19, 2017 03:57 AM #257

@HawkChamp

Could not believe what I was reading from the fans of a double digit loss team.

I think KU will win tomorrow, but I don't think it's 100% and MSU will be very tough.

Mar 19, 2017 03:57 AM #258

Only one conference team was going to advance from the Midwest anyway.

Nova losing gives Mason the edge in the POY race as long as KU keeps on winning.

Mar 19, 2017 03:57 AM #259

@BShark Maybe I'll get on CyFan after KU beats MichSt, and maybe after KU beats Purdue...

It would be petty if we simply lost on same weekend they did. But it would truly rub shards into their wounds if KU is F4 team. Rub it into them for maximal effect, max taunt...

Mar 19, 2017 03:57 AM #260

@ralster

I don't post there, just reading.

Mar 19, 2017 03:57 AM #261

I hope Josh takes care of business tomorrow, stone cold. Don't need any jitters there facing Izzo.

Mar 19, 2017 03:58 AM #262

@JayHawkFanToo swanigan ?

Mar 19, 2017 03:58 AM #263

@kjayhawks no harm in talking about an opponent we will face if we win. Anyone that watched msu last night realizes that they are looking very good.

Mar 19, 2017 03:58 AM #264

@BShark Oh, gotcha. Wise man! We really dont have time for them, or their ilk..

Mar 19, 2017 03:58 AM #265

@ralster

You are pure evil...I like it. πŸ‘

Mar 19, 2017 03:59 AM #266

@Crimsonorblue22 Works for me !!!

Mar 19, 2017 03:59 AM #267

ya, I tell ya, we better strap it on tomorrow, gonna be a war. If we get through tomorrow then wow, I'm telling ya Iowa St and Purdue both was pretty good tonight, whew MARCH MADNESS, crazy games. Soooo. how's is peoples brackets after today? - - Mine? - so glad you asked pssssssssssssssssst I don't even wanna check them out lol. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Mar 19, 2017 03:59 AM #268

@HawkChamp no harm but plenty of folks already thinking it's a sure fire win. News flash there are no sure fire wins in the NCAA tournament outside of a 16.

Mar 19, 2017 04:00 AM #269

@Blown Credit ISU for coming back, but they lack an inside game and their trey finally ran out, because Purdue had too much in the paint.

Before the ISU fans start complaining, Purdue had more TOs. Check that, Clowns had 1 more foul than Purdue.

In fact, the treys were an even percentage.

Purdue out rebounded ISU. Purdue is a load inside.

Mar 19, 2017 04:01 AM #270

@ralster

Indeed.

I'm not going to read the MSU forums. Checking them once the last time we played was enough to know their vernacular consists of referring to Self as "Dollar Bill". BECAUSE HE BUYS PLAYERS GET IT HAHAHA SO FUNNY AND CLEVER.

Mar 19, 2017 04:01 AM #271

@truehawk93

ISU fans won't let something so silly as facts get in the way of complaining.

Mar 19, 2017 04:01 AM #272

Purdue didn't manage the clock very well, took some crazy shots w/the lead

Mar 19, 2017 04:02 AM #273

@kjayhawks Boy not me, no matter they got double digit losses or not, this team Michigan St can cause real problems, we just better bring our game - -w do we should be ok. We can't afford to have slow start, got to come out and et after it from the get go. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Mar 19, 2017 04:02 AM #274

@jayballer54 My bracket is at 86% (ranked 2.6M which is encouraging...like the % better)

Mar 19, 2017 04:03 AM #275

Sure enough, open a thread and ISU got screwed.

One nugget: We really got every bad break possible and still could have won the game. I'm sick for these guys though. They really got screwed and never quit.

Mar 19, 2017 04:03 AM #276

@Bwag bout ready to check mine not too enthused but check anyways. lol - - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Mar 19, 2017 04:04 AM #277

@jayballer54 5th in our challenge...

started the day in 1st I think before any games.

Mar 19, 2017 04:04 AM #278

Facts are hard.

"Also doesn't no help that as soon as our guy laid a finger on someone, a foul got called, but Purdue could get away with anything "

Okay I'm done now.

Mar 19, 2017 04:05 AM #279

Nova blew my East region bracket. This is huge because many thought Nova would repeat.

Mar 19, 2017 04:06 AM #280

So we have KU, WVU, BU, and .... is this it from the B12?

Mar 19, 2017 04:07 AM #281

@Crimsonorblue22 You noticed too.

Mar 19, 2017 04:10 AM #282

Who thinks Dook could reach out to Jay Wright if Coach K retires?

Mar 19, 2017 04:10 AM #283

Florida looks good right now.

Wisconsin and Florida will be a good game.

Mar 19, 2017 04:12 AM #284

@truehawk93 yep KSU OSU ISU out.

Mar 19, 2017 04:12 AM #285

Zags days numbered? They are following their conference fools gold season with NWestern?

Mar 19, 2017 04:13 AM #286

Was really hoping NW would end them

Mar 19, 2017 04:14 AM #287

@approxinfinity Crazy game. Don't think Zags meant to go up through the rim, but dang. The Zags still played well.

Mar 19, 2017 04:14 AM #288

To Sweet 16:

2 Big 10, 2 Big East, 1 Big 12, 1 Pac 12, 1 WAC, 1 SEC

Still left to decide:

1 Big 12 vs Big 10

1 Big 12 vs Pac 12

1 ACC vs SEC

1 ACC vs Big 10

1 ACC vs SEC

1 PAC 12 vs AAC

1 PAC 12 vs Atlantic 10

1 SEC vs MVC

Mar 19, 2017 04:15 AM #289

WSU and UK? Oh boy....Can the Shox shock the Cats?

Mar 19, 2017 04:15 AM #290

Virginia went from 5:08 left in 1st half to 17:42 left in 2nd without scoring.

Sat at 17...for ever.

Mar 19, 2017 04:15 AM #291

@BShark Kind of like we do when we make up names like ratzo, Calislimy, squeaky, etc?

Mar 19, 2017 04:15 AM #292

@Crimsonorblue22

Josh Heart is the main competition and now he is out with no chance to improve his stock.

Mar 19, 2017 04:16 AM #293

@approxinfinity if that goaltending is called, nw might have done it

Mar 19, 2017 04:17 AM #294

So, the top of the B12 still alive.

Mar 19, 2017 04:17 AM #295

@truehawk93 I thought NW outplayed them and exposed them. Baby unicorn is soft, Treer is mercurial, seemed they struggled mightily to score for stretches. And their D was slow picking up.

Mar 19, 2017 04:18 AM #296

@approxinfinity Fraid you're right.

Mar 19, 2017 04:19 AM #297

I want to like Zags, but I can't believe they are too real as they advance into some real teams.

Seth Davis said it best. I like Seth Davis.

Zags and WVU? LOL....I have WVU over the Zags.

Mar 19, 2017 04:20 AM #298

@truehawk93 errgh I'm getting my soft one seeds confused! You see what I think of Arizona as well :smile: bedtime.

Mar 19, 2017 04:22 AM #299

Oh BTW...Obama picked UNC to win it all.

Mar 19, 2017 04:23 AM #300

Purdue had 27 assists to 31 points? WOW

Mar 19, 2017 04:27 AM #301

@BShark Yet their coach respects the HELL out of Self and the KU program. And I respect the HELL out of Izzo.

Mar 19, 2017 04:29 AM #302

Reggie Upshaw with Mid Ten looks like and plays a little like Perry Ellis, weird.

Mar 19, 2017 04:33 AM #303

2 beats #7 St Marys by single digits? Zona? It took their footer to hit record 3s? Zona already having issues?

Mar 19, 2017 04:34 AM #304

Ya, top of the B12 still fighting. Baylor, as much as I like to dunk&tea-bag on ScotDrew, do have some legit wins, over teams not coached by DollarBill Self. (haha, tell those MichSt fans that he isnt "dollar Bill", but $52mil-Bill...get their facts right.)

KU and WVU and Baylor are all top10 teams.

Mar 19, 2017 04:35 AM #305

@ralster Let's hope each of these top B12 teams rep the conference as consistent as the season or better.

Mar 19, 2017 04:37 AM #306

Would Duke go after Jay Wright as a coach once Krzyzewski retires? Sure, they would. Wouldnt KU, if Self bolted for NBA? Jay would fit into UCLA also. I think Calipari fits KY perfectly (I mean that both good and bad-innuendo). Jay Wright could go to UNC also.

But, this early flame-out hopefully isnt a return to non-final4-caliber endings for Jay.

Mar 19, 2017 04:37 AM #307

Xavier and Zona may be as interesting as the Nova game.

Mar 19, 2017 04:39 AM #308

@ralster Something tells me this may be Coach K's final season after his little bout, maybe maybe not.

Mar 19, 2017 04:42 AM #309

JJ gets to play against Winston and Bridges. Oh boy...this should be very interesting.

Listened to Izzo's interview and as always provided some classy input for the game. He used the term "battle tested" for his team. He mentioned playing Dook and UK during the season. I'm sure he was referring to KU playing both teams and beating both teams. KU is "battle tested." Izzo smartly referred to experience over talent. He was clear that experience matters and his team was young. But I guarantee he will bring his guys in with nothing to lose at all. They will leave it all on the court against KU. I don't know what the Miami game did to MSU, but either they played one of the best games of their season, or they will be put out or wore down from the MIami game. Let's see what they bring against KU. Also, Miles Bridges mentioned KU's bigs being deeper than their bench. I hope Bragg and Coleby continue to raise their games in this game and going forward. It's clear we will need them.

Mar 19, 2017 04:42 AM #310

I think there are former Duke players, just as there are former KU players, that are in coaching, but still at various early stages of their careers. I dont think any former Dukies or former Jhwks are "ready" to take over their alma maters. I'm leaving Jeff Capel off the list, as he's had his chances. Danny isnt ready. Turgeon isnt ready, and I dont think he ever will be. Haase isnt ready. Vaughn?

Mar 19, 2017 05:17 AM #311

@ralster Chris Collins is heir apparent at Duke, I think.

Mar 19, 2017 05:21 AM #312

@mayjay Obviously, I'm far more interested in coaching changes at the fellow bluebloods, and the Big12, than other schools. Yes, will be very interesting to see who succeeds Coach K. And Roy. Tough acts to follow.

Yeah that just makes it weirder really.
