@Kcmatt7 Yeah bootcamp doesn't mean much. Will be more interesting when practices start.

It does seem like Cam has won the back-up 5 spot though.

He won’t be the last this year.

Oof?

Zuby seems capable of playing interior defense.

@justanotherfan said in Chiefs-Ravens:

Chiefs got too conservative at the end. Mahomes is the best player in the league. If you lose because he doesn't make a play, you live with it. If you lose because he handed the ball off, that's a failure of coaching. But that has happened before with Andy Reid teams.

Ah I see you beat me to it, just saw. Heh.

Yep, gave one away.

Imagine playing for a field goal when you have the best QB in the world.

If Kentucky wants Adem Bona it's over. Was hoping they would get Lively.

Boils down to if Kentucky needs to take Bona. They might not in which case KU would have a shot...

SCHEDULE OUT β€’ Sep 16, 2021 03:50 PM

Goes to show, KU typically plays a bunch of games against good comp.

SCHEDULE OUT β€’ Sep 15, 2021 09:42 PM

@DCHawker I would imagine the team loses some unexpected games (seems to happen every year) but we are looking at what, 2 quality non-con opponents* IF we get Bama in that tournament? Definitely a lean schedule compared to previous seasons.

*not counting Kentucky until they show they are decent

They seem to be the favorite now. KU staff has been recruiting him pretty hard fwiw.

Same. As long as Self lands one of them, all is well.

Nick Smith is not leaving the south. If Kentucky has moved on like some think it will be Bama or Auburn.

KU does have a shot with Ernest Udeh JR. Will be a bag war.

@BeddieKU23 said in 2022 Recruiting Thread:

Still wouldn't count my chickens with Rice.

They definitely want a big to go with Zuby. Adem Bona and Ernes Udeh seem like the top targets. Iwuchukwu as well but he's always seemed like a Baylor lean.

Jordan Walsh, SF hybrid forward type, Rylan Griffin SG also realistic targets. They have visits lined up

Think that's really it for realistic

Looks like we could have a shot at Bona if he is a back-up plan for UK...

4 star PG Richard Isaacs committed to Texas Tech.

Recruitment with KU fell off a cliff. His ranking also dipped a bunch. Weird

Yeah I thought he would be big time but his development tapered off.

Chandler Jackson is one to really watch with KU. Mutual interest is there.

It Could Be Worse β€’ Sep 05, 2021 03:03 AM

KU could have lost to an FCS school this week like...

Washington

Vanderbilt

UConn

Iowa State and Oklahoma State struggled with FCS comp as well, albeit stronger teams.

Georgia Tech with a rough loss to NIU and Illinois might lose to UTSA (!!!)

One thing is for sure, college football is back and I love it.

South Dakota β€’ Sep 04, 2021 03:33 AM

Is this where we make a stop the count joke since KU is the only Big 12 team that has played a game?

South Dakota β€’ Sep 04, 2021 12:40 AM

I can't say Leipold looks like he knows what he's doing.

@BShark It is highly likely at this point I think... And yea the winter is going to be brutal. I'm expecting lockdowns again. But the funny thing to me is all these work places are having people come back as if they aren't going to be sending everyone right back home in 2-3 months.

It's a tough situation. Many people have to work or they won't be able to eat then you have the situation where the supreme court overturned the eviction moratorium.
