This is correct.

It's not that crowded with Garrett leaving. You only have Harris, Thompson, Cuffe and Jossell, with Jossell not really being a factor. There is a decent chance he could be the starting PG. We all like Harris, but Cuffe much moreso fits the mold of what the staff looks for in a PG. He's a fearless driver and willing defender. In an interview over the summer he talked about how he loves playing hard nosed defense and getting steals because all he wants to do is get transition dunks. Either way I would expect him to be part of the rotation next year.

Idk if Ochai will be back but I consider Braun and Ochai to be wings. The staff really wanted a guard for next season, like super badly.

Anyway, there's a lot of Cuffe on youtube, interviews, full games. Bright young man.

He should learn that all he needs to do with this team is just keep scoring. Foot only comes off the gas if Chad Henne is in the game.

At this point it just is what Andy is. Great coach with one big flaw. He didn't have a QB like Pat until now though. I think Andy would have ended up in the HOF anyway but he is an absolute lock if he coaches Pat the entirety of his career.

Looks like KU is absolutely just not interested in another game. Old friend Travis Ford reached out and KU passed.

I read normally this kills under 100 young athletes a year. Something to monitor if that number drastically increases.

He could develop but his story is very different from Frank and Graham. Graham and Frank are both guys that benefited greatly from a prep year and got other real P5 offers.

Graham was a 4* top 100 that visited Virginia and NC State in addition to KU. Cincy was also involved.

Jerry Meyer was really high on Frank, he had him just about in the top 50, a 4*. Iirc Bama and South Carolina offered but there wasn't a lot of time for him to accumulate offers because Bill put the hammer down to land him in the fall.

Jossell otoh was completely unranked, had no other D1 offers and was the back-up on his AAU team. I don't think it's a good idea to compare him to Frank and Graham but I see it on twitter and other spots because of his size and "under recruited story" but the recruiting stories are NOT similar.

Harris is a nice player to have on the roster, agree with OPs take. It will be hard to play him against good/smart teams this year. You either have to swap him cleanly for Garrett or play Garrett in the post lol.

I believe Bryce and his dad figured he would be here multiple years. Definitely not NBA ready. He tries defensively, which you love to see for a Frosh. Statistically he is slightly above average defensively, but bad offensively. The offense will come. I feel like a full offseason will be HUGE for Bryce. Look at Jalen, it really helped him.

Tyon statistically is one of our best 5 players with the caveat that he didn't really play against UK or Creighton. He's really strong defensively when engaged. Agree about his dribble, it's just awkward. With his athleticism and size I think you mostly want to play him at the 4.

Gethro needs a lot of work. Self is bringing in a lot of bigs so he could be buried on the depth chart.

Jossell is soooo small. He's a great walk-on (that has a scholarship). If he sticks it out at KU he is a nice practice squad type player. If he turns into more I will be shocked and it would be an all-time Bill Self story.

Garza had an absurd 2nd half holy shit.

KSU was up 7 with 44 seconds left and just about lost this thing...

Checked the box score and Tristan played more than Jalen. That says it all about this game lol.

KSU will survive against a sub 200 Kenpom team.

Creighton ended up beating Nebraska by 24

The o/u for this game was 146.5. VEGAS DA GAWDS.

I mentioned this somewhere else but basically he can't shoot, at all, to comical levels really. So that makes it really tough to play him especially when you also have Garrett. He is a fine player to have, just rather limited right now.

See here's the thing about Bryce... His shot isn't falling but he's still putting in full effort on defense and never complains. Kid works his ass off which is part of why I think he will be good.

Love to see Tyon just making the simple and right pass on that Ochai three.

Looked at their schedule. They might be...okay? They will likely trail off in league play because their league is insane but losing to GTech and Nevada isn't awful this year. Played both pretty close as well.

I don't think Creighton sucks but top 10 might be reaching.
