Wow. Really amazing how Cal manages to stockpile and bury so many 5* guys. Whitney's numbers are rough for a top 10 guy.
Allen looks like a Lightfoot situation possibly though. From Kentucky, a bit lower ranked.

Self is playing nice because, well, it's the right thing to do and it looks good for him as well. Plus it just wasn't going to work. It's best for all parties involved this way but these articles are going to get tiring if they keep getting pumped out to try and inflate Q's draft stock.

Played two good teams in Oregon and BYU, the two games where his numbers are a lot lower. I watched the Oregon game and parts of the South Carolina game and he definitely still has his moments good and bad. More bad than good defensively which is probably part of the clash with Bill.
@Kcmatt7 I agree it was a bad fit but I don't really like the passive aggressive narrative being essentially put out there through Grimes family.
That article mentioning Grimes family never operated like he was OAD is a huge joke. It's damage control now that it didn't work out when I know 100% he wasn't attending classes second semester.

He is ISU's best big by a large margin and he would be our second best big (behind Doke).

@Big-Clyde52 BYU is a solid, fringe tournament team imo. KU completely controlled that game, and really every game since the Duke game except Dayton as that one got hairy late (three games in three days didn't help).
Some good teams played in that stretch. Shouldn't be much of a game against KC so I'm really looking at the Nova game as a benchmark. Tough road game against a good offense.
This was a "perfect" game. Played amazing flashing the true ability of this team when locked in. Proceeded to fool around with line-ups getting guys valuable pt. Guys got lazy so Self can chew on them then they put them to sleep after it got down to 16.

Sometimes Milwaukee makes junk shots, sometimes they airball them like that. Good D both times.
@FarmerJayhawk This team is just too inconsistent offensively to do it imo. 2011 team had all the tools.
Humorously enough playing so lackadaisical down the stretch could actually hurt our kenpom rating. This game had a huge spread.
