PLAYING DEFENSE??!?!?!
That looked like Dave was fouled.
Also, nice to see KU trying on defense.

Looked like a dislocated ankle. Might be done for the year.
No way. If it's dislocated, he'd be back in a couple months maybe even slightly less.
DAVE IS ALRIGHT

Ankle injury
Yep. Hope it's nothing severe. DAVE TIME.

Can dotson dunk?
Maybe. It's not likely to happen though.
KJ in before Vick too. We get it Bill.
I get teaching Vick a lesson but man, Chuck coming in first? No bueno.
@KirkIsMyHinrich HIS NAME IS CHUCK

Lucky to be down 2.
Agree. Offense stale yet again.
Too much passing.
No assists to show for it either. Need to attack.

Good grief.

Just look at our list of KU players who have wasted the opportunity of a dreamlike 4 years being the BMOC, fans, prestige, and a college degree at the end (hopefully).
This is a fantasy perpetuated by the NCAA. I find it hard to say they wasted an opportunity when they went pro in their field and started making money. That is the goal of college after all.

WOW. A one and done (or less) that didn't make the big time. This is a huge shocker.
Feel free to rattle off the NBA allstars that were 4 year players.
I have not predicted a loss every game.

The key with Chip Lindsey is whether he's bringing his offense, or if he's running Les Miles offense. Supposedly he requested his release from Auburn because of Malzahn meddling too much.
I would imagine he wouldn't take this job to run the Miles offense so I'm hoping we'll see a similar style offense to what he ran at Auburn which was a very high powered spread offense.
Gus runs that show on offense. No way he doesn't.
Lord knows Self could use Hoi's brain.

@BShark Bingo!! Only the two's that he wants to prevent are almost always with a defender guarding them, making them not so easy baskets in the paint. As a player, would I rather shoot a tough two in the paint, or would I rather shoot a wide open three in the corner? I'll take the open three all day. 3>2
It's just basic math and 3 point shooting has improved so much from when Self got started.
I think I am 4-2 on predictions so far...
Love the Chevis Jackson hire. Young up and coming recruiter.

Bill needs a visit from the Mayor again.
Strongly agree.
This is a philosophy issue. Self would rather give up wide open threes than potentially give up an easy two.
I'm predicting a loss on this one.

Dotson has airballed a couple tbf. If Dotson is wiiiide open it's fine, otherwise meh.

@BShark he doesn't look like the same kid I saw play for USA.
The coaching in that event was subpar.
Grimes is just lost on D.

Notice how the last run was with 4 guards and how bad we looked defensively with 2 bigs tonight. Dedric didn't have a bad game offensively besides getting swatted multiple times which is just gonna happen at this point. But defensively he moved about as fast as my grandma on rotations and let up several easy buckets.
On point. 2 big line-ups suck.
Lose just one of Dedric or Doke and lose Silvio. Add Tristan Enaruna. That's a salty ass squad again next year with more development from Garrett, Moore, Dotson, Grimes etc...
But I'm probably still just dreaming that Grimes could stay.
Kcmatt7 said:
Dotson leaving could be what grimes needs. I think heβs a PG.
Agree but I want Dotson back bad lol.
Dotson could be a big risk to leave tbh, he is so good.
I'd rather have Grimes back than a random recruit.
We are officially in the danger zone.

Yeah, Grimes has been worrisome.
Iβm going with bright side of lots of upside and him being back next season.
Hope so. He was dead set on going pro but I mean...is he draftable?
Yeah, Grimes has been worrisome.

Hard to believe Jerod Haase is a Williams disciple the way Stanford played today. Flopping. Taking the air out of the ball. Wasting 10 seconds walking to inbound the basketball after Kansas made a field goal. I mean I understand he doesn't want to get into a track meet with Kansas but this hardly even felt like a basketball game.
I mean, it was the correct approach for sure.
Terrible foul by Stanford Bilas is right.
Marcus you gotta pass that to Doke.
Dedric 24 and 15 daaaamn.
Lots of KU players with 3-4 fouls. Nervous.
