@BeddieKU23 Did you see that donk Marquette fan on 247 that was absolutely dead sure that if we got Dotson we couldn't get Grimes? So much so that he wanted us to land Dotson. Marquette was offering him the keys to the program!

@HawkChamp I think the question is who paid for it. The more I find out though, the more I think being done for the year might not happen. If it's improper benefits or w/e it could just be like a 9 game suspension or so. I hope we find out officially soon.

It would be two great classes in a row.

@jayballer54 My best guess for 2019 is Jacobs, Harvey, JRE, Chandler Lawson. A lot depends on who leaves early. Also, Lawson and Hurt, will one of them be okay with playing the 4? Not an issue for JRE, fwiw.

@BeddieKU23 Agree with a lot of this. Aaaand I don't think KU misses nearly as many shots. A lot of that was because they weren't super great looks against UK because UK is long and athletic.

Yep. It's a trap game for sure. I think KU wins by about 10-12 but it can definitely be a scary game if things go poorly.

Some might even think that Grimes coming may discourage Romeo, but Grimes is a 1-2, 3 and Romeo is mostly a 3? We could use a solid 3.

Yeah, I'm sure Self has drilled them on guarding the 3 line. Force them to get by you and make athletic plays. They actually have a lot of size but, finesse bigs.

Well, assuming it works out we know Silvio is going to play. I think playing time is the best elixir for figuring stuff out.

I think we will put Vick and Garrett on Daum, gotta make him work. He isn't really a post player.

@BeddieKU23 Weirdly it should work out though. If he is on scholarship then the Silvio situation isn't even possible.

@BeddieKU23 I heard he was quite interested in KU. Doesn't really matter now, obviously.

@BeddieKU23 Agree and I do think this is a game where he can shine, especially relative to UK. SDSU can shoot but they can't defend the ball one bit. They play with a slow pace and still have bad defensive numbers. So Mitch doesn't have to do anything offensively, not really.

At least the staff feels very confident on Silvio.

He isn't terrible on defense. So games like this where our guards should run circles around them I feel we can get away with him more!

@BeddieKU23 I'm not sure how they got him eligible tbh. KU was pretty sure he wouldn't qualify.

The good news is we can get away with playing Mitch more against a lot of the upcoming teams.

Just an amazing coach. Crazy what Boston is doing. Also Marcus Smart is the worst shooter in the NBA and they are better with him out there on offense.

Beat the Warriors last night in a game that would have Self excited.

@BigBad He can get faster/in better shape. Already seems improved from last year in that area. I think he has a ways to go in terms of skill too though. Just think he has a slightly better shot than Svi, Newman, Graham.

Don't know what to make of Doke yet, he could still improve as he is young.

@Crimsonorblue22 Seems to be circulating, have heard it from more than one person. I think there is validity to it unfortunately.

Heard a rumor that he is done for the year and there will be an announcement on it before tomorrow's game.
