Bobby P out weeks with hamstring strain. Nothing new for him here

Will be forced to play Joe or MJ now. Whew boy.

@approxinfinity Yeah I don't think he would start for England but honestly that might make it even more important. We see all the time now guys that could be starting for their African team riding the bench for a European side. Heck the guy that scored the game winning goal for Switzerland against Cameroon was...born in Cameroon.

Such a weird hill to die on. KU sucks on a KU fan board the year after they won a national championship.

HEM behavior.

An asskicking like this should have Bill contemplating some things that is for sure.

@KirkIsMyHinrich he’s got jobbed tonight just awful officiating

Games like tonight he got exposed with our start, leading the team in turnovers and that’s just him playing half of the first half and now he’s out.

He has to be Frank, devonte, tyshawn offensively for us to win a title. Last years team he didn’t have to do that.

9 ppg won’t cut it

I don't believe that you are a fan of Kansas basketball so

Still wondering if it's HEM.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I hate this excuse
UT was in OT yesterday

There is no excuse

Even with the OT, they still had a lot more bench minutes and their first game was a blowout so their starters didn't play big minutes in that one. They are a fresher team, that's a reality.

We are definitely feeling 3 games in 3 days. Very dead legs. No bench.

@jayballer67 They are overrated in the polls like us. They are like...54th on KENPOM if you remove last year's data.

Fabulous result today!

And I was very impressed with the US squad today. excellent game all around.

All about Iran now. I skimmed thru their game earlier with Wales. No game's a pushover at the WC.

Bottom line: we gotta score some goals and win.

US was better than England today. Our midfield talent is :fire: :fire:

Not sure what happens this year but give these lads another 4 years...could be REALLY special in 2026.

The first 15 minutes were a little suspect, but the lads did indeed step up and adjust very nicely. Easily could have been 3 pts. damn!

I still love Weston's game. Not sure why others do not. Midfield was awesome beyond awesome today.

Yeah McKennie is very good. I think we have at least 4 guys better than Pulisic but the narrative is that he is our best player. Super super impressed with Musah, MASSIVE to get him instead of England. Adams is incredible.

KU/Tennessee Game Thread • Nov 25, 2022 10:43 PM

@jayballer67 Gonna be a bad ball muddin game.

@BeddieKU23 Yeah I think Tennessee will win. Hoping for a greasy KU win though.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 25, 2022 12:45 PM

@BeddieKU23 Part of it with the guys being tired is back to back games but we are going to have to get something out of the bench eventually.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 09:18 PM

I hope he can turn it around. Honestly if he could get good enough to start that would be ideal.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 08:57 PM

I like the idea of Zach but he needs to actually produce something. We have to start getting something from the bench but especially the 5 spot.

If you take out last year from the equation on Kenpom well

Zach needs more minutes. He actually made a post move and shot a little hook. If one three drops the bucket will look bigger

After today I'm fine if he transfers at semester. Play Zuby more.

More or less agree with the rest. Wisconsin schemed Gradey out of the game but we could have also done a better job to involve him.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 07:01 PM

@DanR Basically no

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 05:29 PM

Just win baby.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 04:01 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Yep this is his big weakness and it will bite us at times. He is a 6'6'' center and his arms are not exactly long either.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 04:00 PM

Good game for Zach to get some run in. @focojayhawk and @wissox were unsurprisingly correct about Wisconsin's athleticism level.

11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE • Nov 24, 2022 03:05 PM

@drgnslayr He is playing about 17 minutes a game which feels about right. Not a lot of minutes without Juan but so far the staff has found some minutes with both of them in there at the same time.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 02:58 PM

@Jethro Yeah my guess was 8 regular season losses before the year and watching the team has reinforced that for me. Duke is one I thought was a loss. 12-6 in the Big 12 is about where I think this team is.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 02:55 PM

@Jethro I'd be frustrated during the game but I'd take it!

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 02:46 PM

As far as the bigs it's really impossible to say this year. Someone might develop in time, they might not. Overall I'm very confident in Zuby being good eventually. Right now he feels like the guy that doesn't get enough minutes. He's better defensively than Udeh but worse and lost offensively. Udeh is a bit lost on that end too but has had more flashes. Zach before he got hurt was just an abyss on offense.

Get McCullar at his usual production, get a little bit out of Rice (Joe is not a P5 player, Rice might be) and we should finish 2nd in the Big 12. Bob is a good bench player. KJ is a good bench player too but he is forced to start so it's hard to see us finishing ahead of Texas.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 02:38 PM

@dylans about as many times as Bilas said Scheyer was "born for this" or w/e the line was.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 02:36 PM

I am grateful for Gradey Dick, don't even want to think about this team without him.

10am Start, Thurs WISCONSIN • Nov 24, 2022 02:23 PM

@dylans Could have went after someone in the portal but it feels like they thought/were hoping Zach would be the guy.

Other games • Nov 24, 2022 02:10 AM

KState is good, tournament team I think.

Also believe NIL was a factor. Something that's becoming the difference now with these kind of players. We certainly could have used another big with size that could score.

KJ has had 8 in 3 straight. Perhaps he is going to ascend to that average which will at least be respectable.

Really didn't even try for a big. Made a late play for the kid who ended up at UNC. Reality is they though Zach would be able to score and he has just been turrible.

@wissox said in 11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE:

Wisconsin offense is the worst I've ever seen it this year. They lost some scorers in Davison and Johnny Davis and the big Crowl has zero hops. Tyler Wahl is pretty crafty around the rim but defenses are keeping him well guarded.

So their offense looks like ours. We'll call this battle..."the mud bowl".

But with far less individual talent is the thing. Will still be a slog though no doubt because they defend well.

11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE • Nov 23, 2022 08:39 PM

14-59 from the floor for Wisconsin today in a WIN.

11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE • Nov 23, 2022 08:20 PM

@wissox I fully expect them to give Kansas hell too, might even win it.

11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE • Nov 23, 2022 08:06 PM

This might be the worst game I've watched this year which includes a Louisville game!

World Cup thread! • Nov 23, 2022 08:05 PM

@tundrahok Unlucky in the first half. Belgium adjusted in the 2nd half but it was also only a good strategy change because they managed to pinch the lead.

11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE • Nov 23, 2022 05:49 PM

We haven't shot nearly enough 3s this half.

11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE • Nov 23, 2022 05:47 PM

Not having Gradey out there sure is a choice.

11 AM Start, Wed NC STATE • Nov 23, 2022 05:38 PM

I think it's close but Zuby might be a bit more ready than Udeh currently. Like what I've seen from him when he has been able to get minutes today.
