That shot by Jalen doesn't have a chance leaning away from the hoop
It was closer than I expected, TBH.
His shot preparation is the worst on the team

Och with a complete garbage turnover there
Offensive foul
Nice stuff there. Agbaji threw weak ass sauce at the rim but good thing Jalen is so good hunting the board
Joe needs a bench
@DanR said in Boomer 2 Game Thread:
gotta let Yesefu play through getting burned all game
Awful defense there. Giving him his right
Hopefully the halftime adjustments work cause this half is a dud
Good grief with that call
@Kcmatt7 said in Boomer 2 Game Thread:
@BeddieKU23 heβs going to play 40 and get the game ball with 4 points lol
No chance today imo
Harris has been abused
Bullshit
We just don't have it today
Predictable call there
So far its just missed shots and predictable offense. Need some stops
Mitch being a non scoring threat when he gets that ball at the top of the key with 20 feet of space just infuriates me
It's a 3 on 5 scoring lineup don't ever understand it
Not making anything
Bad pass mitch wtf
@nwhawkfan said in Boomer 2 Game Thread:
God I hate those bounce passes in the key. Turnover bait.
Like clockwork
Dave busy so far
Junk offense
Stone hands mcgee
Jesus make a layup or God forbid dunk
Let's get dub #20
Alright let's have some fun today!
I'm a fan of Ian Eagle so it's a nice refreshing announcer crew we are getting

Sohan is a very dirty player! Especially in the WV game.
Was gonna mention that game
Ian Eagle and Rafftery doing the game. Will be like music to our ears

I can't believe that he only got one game...or that there wasn't any sort of scrum afterwards. That was so dirty
100% agree. He did miss the rest of that game so its almost a 2 game ban. I'd be outraged if I was Duke. I have a feeling some other coaches would have done more
@BShark said in Feelings On:
Ya I mean he'd be our best big next year but like everyone I have been excited for some change. If it does happen, I hope we don't lose anyone else.
Inevitable we will lose someone or multiples. Nobody wants to come into a season looking at Mitch's role only.
This is the ultimate situation for Self. Dave will help you win games but not having him will give you a real chance to develop the 4 bigs that would be here.

My feelings? Pass.
Does it make sense for both parties? Kinda.
Yeahh exactly

Saw that post on the phoggy. Will be something to monitor I suppose
@Crimsonorblue22 said in 2021 Transfer Talk/List:
@BeddieKU23 I saw that, took my breath away. I don't know if he's a normally dirty player?
I don't either. But that one play says an awful lot
Glad we missed on David Collins who ended up at Clemson. KU was active with him in the portal last off season. Anyway had about as dirty of a play as you will see against Duke last night. Wendell Moore is lucky he didn't end up in a hospital. The ACC suspended him for a game.
The intent to cause harm is what troubles me the most. 1 game doesn't seem enough even if it's against a dukie.
I'm sure I'm the first person to express my excitement that he's gonna be here next season
Yupp we are better then most out there. Need to stay healthy or get some guys healthy again.
Monday sucked. Tuesday might have been worse dealing with the defeat. I don't know about you but the Big Monday late games that start at 9 pm (east coast for me) or 8pm CT, or whatever it is time zone everyone lives in takes a toll. I'm amped up all day for the game. And after its over how does anyone just keel over 5 minutes later and go to sleep? Not with this Jayhawk group this year, nail biters is all we know. Monday didn't end well but it wasn't nearly as bad as post Kentucky was or after the Texas Tech game. I thought we did play well enough to win. I'll take that small victory.
Look we all knew that the Baylor game was awesome sauce and that the quick turnaround on the road against a ranked team with a nuisance coach could be problematic. Did we have a letdown? I'm not sure we did. We sure as heck competed and performed well enough to win but end of both halves the execution for some reason just wasn't there. Beard had a game plan to take Ochai out of the game and it worked for the most part. Ochai might have taken himself out of the game a little bit imo but besides that Beard's plan limited Agbaji well below his quota. Kudos to a good coach for having a plan and having a player in Ramey who could be a Marcus Garrett for a game.
Let's talk about the officiating for a second. Perhaps the biggest reason why KU had things go against them. I can just imagine the frustration from both sides as your playing through a game where there's more fouls called then minutes played (42). Perhaps if they called some things on both sides that seemed to cross the line of play-on vs foul they could have hit the magic jackpot number 50 and collected a 5 dollar gift card to 'Idontknowhowtodomyjob.com'. That crew made the game all about themselves. It's hard enough to win on the road as it is but when the ref's make the game more difficult to have any kind of rhythm your just fighting a losing battle. Execution was KU's downfall but I think the reason they got that poor execution was because of the crap environment the officiating created. Perhaps I'm alone here but games like this from an officiating standpoint should be exhibit A for review at the higher levels.
Switching gears we get to play in Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday and that's always good for everyone's soul. Oklahoma gave us one heck of a tussle in the first matchup and now they come into this game riding momentum after handing Texas Tech a 15 point drubbing. I didn't watch the game but the box score says Umoja Gibson had his super bowl game with 30 (43%) of the teams points and 8 3's. He's from Waco so maybe he imagined Tech has those Baylor colors and he lit them up. That's how College Basketball can go though, you get the one guy who's hotter then a pistol and that makes all the difference. Hopefully Gibson's 8-11 turns to 1-11 Saturday.
The game is on CBS FYI. I'm looking forward to a non-fran Saturday. I know he'll be coaching up the Sooners from his tv. Stay consistent fella!
Anyone concerned here? I think we overmatch this OU team at home and roll. Rock Chalk everyone

No problem. I enjoy keeping up on it for everyone to see.
Just on video out there I don't see how Adrame would factor in here next season. He's all development, redshirt etc likely wherever he goes.
I'm good with rolling with the collection of young bigs we have/have coming. Can't recruit that many Top 100 kids just to sit behind vets. Time for a change of the guard. Reminds me of the situation Self ran into when he had to trust Devon Dotson at PG. This situation in the post is that. Have to trust that the young guys will step up and there will be enough separation to create rotations
Doke with 11 pts and 5 boards in 19 minutes. They clobbered the Warriors. However his +- was the worst on the team. Still great to see him starting and getting to play. So happy to see him getting an opportunity.
I agree it's looking like a young roster that I think could use a vet sprinkled in there
Limited video out there but definitely needs a strength and conditioning program. Tall and athletic. Seems a bit away skill wise given he is new to the game
