@jayballer67

57-52 final. OU looked a bit tired without a few players, especially Reeves.

AJ Green of Northern Iowa is another. Had season ending hip surgery so that's a concern but in 3 games averaged 22 this season. Last year averaged almost 20 a game. Been a fan of his game. Former Top 100 kid too

Matt Bradley of Cal is one I've had my eye on. 4th leading scorer in the Pac-12. Deep range on his jumper, finishes at the rim, has a complete offensive game really. Plays on a bad team and has to carry every night. Perfect SG for KU to potentially target.

@jayballer67

They haven't beat a ranked team. That projection can go pound sand

Non-KU Games Thread • Feb 02, 2021 01:50 AM

Hate to see it. Duke lost to 6-10 Miami LOL

Coach Hot Seat and Players to Poach • Feb 02, 2021 01:45 AM

Wong from Miami is very good

Coach Hot Seat and Players to Poach • Feb 02, 2021 01:27 AM

Really solid Thread starter. I'm guessing most of these guys get another year due to the financial issues surrounding covid.

Kendrick Davis is a want. Scott would fit here. Dont see any of the Big 10 schools moving on from their coach besides Penn St guy. Minnesota has been ranked and Maryland has beaten several ranked teams.

Jackson Davis is an NBA guy after this year. Franklin can really sling it from deep.

Bagley and Christopher seem like they would go league before another college year.

I'll add more to this when I have the chance

@Kcmatt7

I mean if he was really looking to flip the roster 3 at least and you sell your soul for the top guard transfers that hit or get lucky some top level guard is available in the spring. Its all about bringing in guards and getting Thompson Ochai and Wilson developed further. Its such a guard game now and he has to get himself some dudes

Selfs comments about the defense after the game paint a bleak picture. He's realizing they are limited

Curry had an akle injury. He will play this week

This is crazy. Shame on BC administration.

No. 16/16 Florida State travels to face Boston College on Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. at the Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The Eagles are set to return to the court for the first time since January 16th

"Right now we have four scholarship players available to play this game [against FSU]."

On Monday morning, during the ACC Coaches Teleconference, Eagles' head coach Jim Christian shared an update regarding his team.
Christian pointed out that rules regarding depth necessary to play are 'vague', then sharing that the interpretation of the Atlantic Coast Conference is 'eight healthy bodies'.

"So if you look at our roster size, with five scout team players, we have enough guys to play," Christian stated. "Our administration made the decision that the game needs to be played.

Michigan St is another team that can't shoot and has regressed as the season has gone on. 8-6, they lost by 17 yesterday while shooting 32% from the floor

Everyone sucks!

Outside of Zaga/Baylor yes.

@BShark

Makes sense, he's from Texas as well. He's going to be good in a few years and a terror for the league

Worst KU Team Since? • Feb 01, 2021 03:39 PM

@Kcmatt7

And who would have thought the loss of Thompson would wreck as much havoc as it has on things. We are used to injuries from starters making things more difficult but not a player that wasn't starting. Bryce wasn't shooting the ball great, his metrics are bad but man do we just miss his presence and the effect it has on rotations. His effort was there and I think we miss a lot of what he was on the cusp of showing.

Well sounds like Vince Iwuchukwu won't be an option for KU in 22. Seems like all Baylor from intel out there. Baylor is the new KU on the recruiting trail.

KU/ Tenn , so what you think ? Game time • Feb 01, 2021 11:44 AM

1 game according to Kenpom was a major swing. 4 & 5 spot movement.

Coming KU- #18, Tenn #19. Post- KU #22, Tenn #14.

@drgnslayr

There is concern for even making the tournament at this point without a turnaround.

If the same level of play continued the rest of the 9 games, only home games with K-St & Iowa St seem like wins. They play both of those teams on the road as well which are 50/50 games given their road woes. Playing Iowa St twice in 3 days will be ridiculous.

Worst case scenario this team goes 2-7 the rest of the way limping to a 13-13 record. 4-5 gets them to 15-11. Going 500 at least gives them a chance to stay on the bubble and they would need to win a Big-12 tourney game likely to have a chance. 3 wins early against ranked teams will be crucial at that point against other bubble teams. Never thought this day was coming under Self

KU/ Tenn , so what you think ? Game time • Feb 01, 2021 12:25 AM

But the shots Tennessee made weren't end of shot clock 30 footers so I'm just not buying luck. They were in rhythm shots with no hands in their face. They got 2nd chance points and killed KU on the board. At no point did KU'S defense force Tennessee to run bad offense.

So what if Texas and Tennessee had one of their best shooting games against KU. They are ranked teams with rosters full of 4 star and 5 star talent. We shot our wad against West Virginia and TCU and haven't come close to the same offensive output in most other games.

KU's average games are not going to beat good teams. KU'S bad games get them blown out the gym. They used to win a majority of the former and would have a chance with the others.
Flawed team. Can't shoot. Two of its 3 guys taking high volume shots are horrible offensive players and really don't make the other 3 better around them. First year in forever guys are just not good enough
