Huggy up 1 with the under 4 timeout. WVU is perfect for KU neither big can shoot the 3 so Dave can sag and play no defense
first to 40 wins
This has been a hard game to watch. But KU's D will love that they like to play 2 bigs too. Our lazy defense will love watching the film on them

Close game with 4 to go, OSU up 1
Watching hack Virginia play Ohio St. Same ol WVU. They foul on every play
Bill Self after a loss is the most dangerous coach to play against. I think we struggle and eek out a W
Who on this team can create their own shot from the perimeter? The answer is no one.
We dont have a Graham, Newman, Mason or Svi walking in the door. The only 3 I've seen instinctually from a perimeter player so far that I can remember is Enaruna against Duke. Agbaji should be someone who can do this with his length and athleticism. I think for this offense to continue to have any balance Dotson and Garrett need to dribble drive and be looking for the kick out when defenses collapse. We seem like a team totally dependent on making plays to set up perimeter shots.
I think if we are on game 25 or so and Moss is still the same guy he was after 10 games then this thread has more meaning.
Yikes. Guess they will wait a year to find out

Mitchell brothers are leaving Maryland.
Wow why?
People heal differently. I experienced ankle injuries playing in HS and College as well and each was different in how much it impacted movement and health after. If they say this injury isnt significant compared to last seasons then we will see for ourselves how much impact it has on him not only this weekend but going forward. The difference between you, me and Garrett is having the resources of the KU Medical staff. Hopefully for the sake of fans and the team it's an injury that doesnt have a significant impact on the season
Too early to tell. I doubt he would play this weekend if they thought the injury was severe enough to cost him and his team a starter going forward. Ankle injuries are never good for guards but hopefully this one is nothing more then a minor blip
Garrett's injury to his ankle is not the same ankle he injured last year and he says it's no where as bad at that injury was. Hopefully in 2-3 weeks he is close to full speed

This got me looking .. not picking on Moss. Just observations. Worst rebounds per 40 min played (1.7), second worst steals (.6) and assists (.5) per 40 minutes played (Silvio the worst). The last two are tough stats for a guard. Second worst PER (Enaruna the worst).
My first thought was that from a 5th year senior and that it would be hard to see it changing a lot. But in his season at Iowa last year, the numbers were 4.7, 2.9, and 1.5. So much better from an activity level. Maybe needs to get acclimated? Some guys just do better as starters, too. Don't know.
Seems like when his shot doesn't go down his activity level struggles. Last two games have shown that
I like Brauns ability to get to the lane, he is quicker with a better handle and more athleticism to finish but his defense and shooting have been below average at best.
He is good a shooter but not showing it and I think Self has to play Moss because defenses respect his shot
Garrett will probably play Sunday if he continues to improve. Only about 75%.
sad to see even his 2nd chance hasn't panned out.
Edit- 3rd chance
We really think we can shorten a rotation that only has 9 bodies as it is.. For this year and the future its important all 9 continue to play. If Garrett's injury would have been serious it would have been as crippling as losing Doke last season. It was nice to see the freshman step up to the playing time. Enaruna made a big corner 3. Braun had a few drives to the hoop and actually finished them (the missed FT) though cost KU just as much as Dotson's misses. We need someone from the bench to provide a spark most nights.
Merry Christmas @drgnslayr
Ah what dreams to think of an elder Devon on this team. No reality, bummer

@BeddieKU23 History suggests he will play before he is 100%. For better or for worse, I don't know.
@jayballer : Yes...I am relieved it was not worse. The way he was holding it, up high, I was worried about some type of fracture.
I'm sure he will he is a tough kid who wants to play with his team. I just think if the injury isnt as serious as last season that they really let him heal. We saw how much his presence on both ends of the floor was impacted by him not being out there
True. It looked bad. I'm hoping they dont push him to play on it less then 100% like they did for months last yr

No xray needed for Garrett looks like he will be fine in a few weeks
that's good to hear. - -Christmas break - - - then out the Stanford game , maybe maybe good to go against WV
He will probably be less then 100% for a while. Not good either way

xray No
Not that I'm about to give an excuse to Dotson for the way he played down the stretch but it's clear rewatching the game Dotson was tired from having to be the primary ball handler most of the game after Marcus went out. We even saw Braun handling the ball so Dotson could get the ball on the left wing and go around a ball screen to initiate offense. Dotson turning the ball over late and missed free throws clearly pointed to fatigue.
Dotson mostly. Dont turn the ball over up 4. Dont miss a one and one with the game on the line
So the two best teams KU has played they have lost. Time to temper expectations. Your best player has to step up and finish the game. Just disappointing
Freshman dont win in march

4-10 from the line, tons of missed lay-ups, stupid turnovers. I can't believe we lost this.
Frame that for march
85% at the line. No excuse
Choke job Dotson is his new name
Refs r like we have Jay's check what do we do
Devon the choker
Came even make a ft
That's dogsshit dotson
Wow
Another bull crap call
Moss really hasn't taken a good look today and the 4 guards has started to space their defense
BShark said:
@BeddieKU23 Worried that they will just let Nova hack but it is our best offense...
Almost to bonus so I think it's time to get moss in there for spacing

Good job creating Devon.
Every possession should start and end with him. Its the only way to win
Dotson needs to continue to be aggressive. I dont trust anyone else out there shooting the ball
