can't blame them there were some plays earlier this year that the defense was no even lined up when the play occurred. there is no denying he's turned it around as the team has gotten healthy and young guys have stepped up. He had to abandon zone defense schemes to get it. Some knowledgeable fans have pointed out its defense you teach in High School
It's more Charles Kelly the defensive coordinator then anything. He should have been fired after the UNC game but he found a way to improve the D the last 6 games. Jimbo is a loyal guy- sometimes too loyal. The LSU rumors don't help either and I'm glad they are over with.
It's like any fan-base though we expected to be championship material and after the Louisville beatdown that was gone. Next year we open with Alabama so I get why fans are already thinking next year is "doomed". Kelly is not a good coach against Tempo, actually he's probably one of the worst.

If UK plays like they did today it will be surprising if KU doesn't pull out a W but UCLA also got a lot of solid post play from Leaf/Welsch/Big Ike that KU simply doesn't have right now.
The atmosphere for that game will also be completely different. It's a toss up game especially in Rupp.
Definitely I enjoyed seeing them lose but that takes a special type of person to write that kind of stuff. and in special I don't mean in a nice way
I think Apples didn't want her son to make a decision to play with his friends, more of a business decision. I think he made the right move, not even JJ would make Izzo's team good this year
