Good one. We know self has sets and perhaps they aren't ready to show them this early. Gotta start playing through him, Kentucky had no issue playing to their strengths
I mean his height advantage is significant enough and we didn't see it used well, lots of turnovers forcing it in. Offensively we played pretty poorly and that led to a lot of easy looks on their end. I would like to see them play through the guy that's so hyped up
They sent 3 or 4 at Hunter every time the ball was thrown his way. At some point you gotta adjust and start sending cutters or run the sets that set up lobs or inside position where you get the weakside help out the lane. Need to make Hunter either the guy or the guy getting someone an open look.

I don't know how much tightening of the bench Self will do since he only has 9 bodies to begin with it. I think everyone will continue to get opportunities until we hit conference time and then Self will do what he normally does which is play 6/7 majority of minutes. Furphy has been such a wildcard though in a positive way. Looking like a starter but we will see how he handles athletes and scouting.
His passing certainly flashed tonight. Need his trajectory to keep moving forward because he's a heck of a talent if he figures it out.

Yeah the missed dunk was odd for sure, Game 1 jitters perhaps. Need him to be consistent finishing down low which his numbers suggest he will, he shot 62% from the floor last year.
