We've still just had 3 FTA's, should gt two more here now. Nearly double our attempts for the game on 1 shootingfoul
Lucas has had 0's across the board except his 2 FGA's.

Has Mick played at all this half???
Don't think so. Think Traylor started the 2nd half and acquitted himself well. Then Lucas came in for a spell.
@Crimsonorblue22 He's had a few in recent games like that where he just didn't hang on to a pass.
@DCHawker Self going a little long with this group without a refocus...
4 guys failed to go after that rebound giving them a 2nd chance and 3 pt.
Shooting %'s nearly even in every category. FTA's are where the discrepancy in the score comes from the most. OU 17 - KU 3 with a 10 pt differential.
No foul there. Self giving it to them again!
Seldon takes it to the rack!
Lucas paused to effect on that inside shot. No spins, just delay
Lucas in...jury out...I'm told he'll redeem his early play
We've gotta quit with the sloppy.
@wissoxfan83 that was a whole lot of nothing in that sequence.

I can tell u from afh he's working his ass off
I'm assuming you mean traylor. would agree.
Traylor going to take himself out of the game with his hustle. He's beating himself up.
We seem tired or arelaying on the floor a lot while they're running.
Back to the basket ball is not OUR game.
@DCHawker I'm not sure why Self recently commented on our guards not having enough turnovers due to not pushing it. I'd rather see them play under more control. Graham with 4 turnovers and most not really forced that I can remember.
FTA
OU - 15
KU - 1
Start the letter to the league
@DanR yep
5 pt game...time to make a push here at the end
@tundrahok kneecap
Svi for 3,long overdue
Hang on to it there Hunter!
Our PG's have 5 TO's 3 DG and 2 FM...that's uncharacteristic, lack of patience, trying to push a little too hard at times.
8 FTAs for OU and 1 for KU. IN AFH
Diallo getting some minutes
71.4% from 3 for us
22% for them
Perry telegraphs his moves sometimes like a HS QB
@DoubleDD He plays slow...this is going to be a fast game.

There is no reason for Lucas to be in this game - he doesn't match up with anyone on OU.
Hopefully, Self now realizes that.
That Ref
Lucas under the bsket...disaster.
3's and mid-range 2's...58% from FG
who are the refs? They seem to want to be part of the game.
@JayHawkFanToo He did that with another Coach's players (Frank Martin/Huggy Bear), just like he did at Illinois after Self. So perhaps not a terrible coach, but maybe that whiny voice of his is just a killer on the recruiting trail (or he can't scout talent?).
@JayHawkFanToo @jaybate-1.0, I can see the points you both make. Mass media could be used to help set those initial expectations. Of course, as people put their money on a game, it clarifies the mind.
Would be interesting to know what some of the largest line moves have been in sport betting history and what the relevant factors were to that move. Especially ones that didn't have fundamental change developments in the actual matchup (like key player injured and removed from the game).
Seems the initial line should most closely resemble the tipping point based on actual matchup. Line moves based on the money, (which could be influenced by the regional bias) and additional developments.
@Mikey-P nice job and official welcome.

I've never seen Perry Ellis' back molars before... until now.
Made me go back and look. I think you are right!
Sweet observation.
@Lulufulu and hopefully the same type beat down in Austin.

@RockChalkinTexas I can't stand Brent, but I don't mind Dicky V!
Both are past their shelf life.
@KUSTEVE Here's to holding if for a while!
@pa_grape I thought I saw pieces of what we see now, last year in his limited time at the end of a quick hook. Then the WUG just reinforced it.
@Second-Prize Guess you're not one to discuss the in's and out's of game, huh? Just Que sera, sera.
I'd be interested in your jayhawk history.
Personally, I love the give and take of this site and have learned so much. Now I'm able to watch the game with a more discerning eye because people do question moves, point out tendencies and then alternative ways of approaching an issue.
Sure sometimes it gets over the top, but really, why else do come to a site like this? To hear "great game" or "rough game" and the blah, blah, blah of a post-game interview where everyone tries to say nothing.
Great coaches and players watch lots of tape to break down tendencies and strategies. You think Coaches don't have those same things that become part of the success and failures that teams have. That is what I see occur on this site, breaking down those things in a quest for greater excellence.
@Second-Prize feel better now?
C5 Comp:
Mick - 2/3 & 3/4 for 7 points 6 RB, 1 Asst, 1 Steal, 3 Blks. 1 TO, 4 PF
Bragg-2/4 & 1/2 for 6 points, 3 RB, 0 Asst, 0 Steal, 0 blks, 0 TO, 1 PF
Diallo-2/4 & 0/0 for 4 points, 2 RB, 0 asst. 0 Steal, 1 Blk, 0 TO, 1 PF
Lucas-1/1 & 0/0 for 2 points, 2 RB, 0 asst, 1 steal, 0 blk. 2 TO, 2 PF
JTray-0/0 & 0/0 for 0 points, 0 RB, 2 asst. 0 steal, 1 blk, 0 TO. 4 PF
There, folks, should be your big man rotation for now with exceptions for specific matchups or until #2/#3 options begin to grow towards their ceilings.
We had 67 shots tonight.
OU with 5 minutes left has taken 67 shot...now 68
Other teams were running and gunning in that period including OU under Billy Tubbs, UNLV with the Shark.
Not sure that defense was too much of a point of emphasis. Bill Self obviously didn't grow up under the Tubbs coaching tree!
@brooksmd sad stuff there...seems Len Bias was in that time period as well or maybe that is my aging memory collapsing time.
