Aaron Miles on the bench.
Jamari in for instant offense
Weak second half
But when the rain ain't falling, I see what you mean. @bskeet
@bskeet On my TV, he's clearly two dimensional
I have no problem with this line up.... one point guard.
If you can smack it off the backboard with both hands, then maybe you're close enough to dunk it, 6-10 guy.
Power move of the glass by Lucas. Sheesh.
Perry just messing with them now.
Reminder to the Lawrence locals... they're blowing up McCollum Hall on Daisy Hill tomorrow at 9 am. Got a choice spot picked out to watch the annihilation.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Thx. Haven't had a chance to read KUsports today for the latest.
So, according to Fran, NCAA is "working on" the Diallo debacle.
I don't think Svi is a streak shooter, but I kind of like that. Every other one works just fine.
Might not have been such a bad thing to lose to MSU in the second game. This team looks unbeatable. My expectations might have been unrealistic.
UCLA bigs are making Lucas look good.
What Fran is trying to say is that Ellis is the King of Spin.
Alford II has an even more punchable face than his dad, and that's saying something.
Too much trouble for Parker to run down the court after getting out-rebounded. Why is it that whenever I see the top "missed" recruits for KU I don't think we're missing much.
Parker is a big pile of slow.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Interesting about the AC. I was commenting during the game tonight that I expected the entire team to collapse at some point with cramps, and .... nothing.
Probably more comfortable than the last couple games in AFH.
Offense looks more settled down with hunter in there
Last years ugly tournament unis
Hunter is too tall obviously
According to the google translate, it was something about a Korean event of the century involving a pool, salon, sarong, salon, lingerie, and sea mounting.
I was intrigued.
Audio at KUsports ↗... First time I've heard Self actually sound angry.
Bonus tidbit: he said Perry will be playing some at the three position while Greene is suspended.
Kind of disappointed to hear it wasn't weed. That seemed the most banal of explanations other than missing study hall or skipping class.
Everyone stop posting for a while, please. I need to get back to reality/work!!
@Makeshift Good point about Withey. Self was always more than happy to get him out of any game (e.g., Mizzou) when he could have an excuse to play smaller.
@SoftballDad2011 Greene doesn't need much space to get off his shot. They were hounding him, no doubt. Greene did work to get open and was ready for the ball on the wing once when Graham ignored him and instead chucked his second or third brick.

Self had pulled in his horns and shifted into Bad Ball for the last 8 minutes expecting the onslaught of thug ball. Clearly Self figured to win it at the line down the stretch. But, as I suggested, Izzo just closed down the paint, both to scoring and to rebounding, to KU with Costello, and let Valentine play drive ball on the other end....
But I told everyone Bad Ball was part of the plan.
Please prepare yourselves, because with this front court, it will remain so...
Well, you called that one right.
Sad thing is, poor shooting/poor rebounding/poor defense/Wayne's old-man ball all occurred during that first 32 minutes... and yet we managed to build a 10+ point lead and control the tempo. Playing poorly. You could almost say Self was pure genius to have his players play "poorly" like that. He had Izzo reeling on his heels!
Why change what was working?! Is playing poorly not bad enough?? Can Bad Ball be effective if there is no Good Ball to begin with?
Man, it's going to be a long year.
What was most frustrating to me is to again see Self panic halfway through the second half and go to the "just drive it to the rim Frank/Andrew/Elijah/Tyshawn/Sherron offense"... you know, the offensive strategy that has ended every NCAA tournament since 2008.
Well, add Selden to the list of Self's "do no wrong" players. I love the kid, but if he's hurt, PLEEEEEESE play someone else. Obviously he can't jump as high as my overweight cocker spaniel or defend a limestone post rock right now. If he's not hurt, then he needs a wake up call to remind him that he's still in his 20s.
is Selden injured? If so is his 3 inch vertical and pursuit D better than svi's ability?
Whelp. hope self learned something about his coaching strategy tonight.
Off frank
No rim protector
Get it together guys. Can still win
Already going to the "drive frank" offense
Might be last we see of Lucas if self watches this objectively
@DanR izzo
The way Ozzie was cheating to guard Greene in the first half it would make sense to put him in to open it up
Need a couple daggers by Svi... Do we gave a play to get him a shot. Nope
Put the hammer down now
Devonte late with that pass sheesh
@globaljaybird good point
I'd rather have Greene or Svi out there instead of both dg and mason together against a grinding team
Selden has concrete shoes on. What in the world is up?
Need to heat up, guys
Traylor crashed the boards
Just post anything, Rooster... a simple "RCJH"
