Smart and Texas breaking the best pressing team in the country.
Texas hanging tough.
I don't know as missed most of the first half (thanks Espn). Yet from what I seen there was a lot of missed bunnies, and free throws. Also not blaming the refs, but man they were killing the rhythm for KU. Offense equals rhythm or vice versa. Yet I thought KU played pretty good offense despite the set backs. They grinded it out even the shots weren't falling. Off nights happen. Yet it's about can you still win if your having an off night. So far KU has proving it can.
Yep
I think some fans are having a hard to wrapping their minds around the fact that KU isn't playing stellar defense, and that this team is an offense juggernaut.
Yep, but all that stuff is water under the bridge. There is no light or dark side. Just KU fans.
I used to focus on nothing but tournament success. Last I took a bath form the posters last year, and I deserved it. To win a championship is so hard. Trying to speculate whether a team is this or that will drive you crazy. The lesson I learned last year from my fellow posters is just enjoy the ride.
Well sorry KU fans. This game doesn't count. KU didn't play great defense and got lucky. NCAA is giving the win to Okie because KU didn't deserve to win.

@Bwag its hard to imagine the game at West Virginia not being a 20 point loss.
KU is going to win that game. Count it.
Alright Svi
Block that.
Like money under the sofa
I guess that was luck ???
At the end of the day is a w in the win column.
Shut up Fran
JJ a junkyard dog. BiFM POY
POY
Finally Fran got something right.
It's coming.
Okie is like that pesky fly or nats that bother you when sitting outside trying to enjoy a Midwest summer night. You put up with it until you get mad and go all crazy. Grabbing bug killer and anything you can kill it with. KU about to get mad.
That better be a t
KU will win.
Yep same play the other way was a charge on JJ
I guess don't know what a charge and a blocking foul is anymore.
Where did they find these refs in a cracker jack box ???
Thanks for proving my point.
Nobody is debating you need to play defense. Some of act like its the only way. I've watch plenty of average defenses cut down the nets.
That is charging ???
KU about to explode.
Talk about ticky tacky
Why would you say that? I've seen a whole host of teams that played great defense getting beat. You have to have an offense to win the championship. If the round ball doesn't go in the hoop. You get no points.
I've been trying to watch our post players on defense. At times they look like a dog chasing their tail.
Yea but a good post player is the last line of defense. And right now it's hit and miss.
Just in general. Getting back doored is a good sign of bad post defense.
Right now I feel our post defense is terrible. Either they're not getting it or an adjustment has to be made.

Well enjoy the half time Okie, because the rear end whooping is coming.
he couldn't do no worse. At least he would foul someone.
Sadly KU defense is getting back doored. Have a feeling the KU players are going to find Coach's foot in their back door at half time.
Man Svi is night and day compared to last year.
Nothing like missing most of the first half of the KU. Sometimes I just loath ESPN
KU football on the rise. :yum:

If Patton could pull out of one winter battle, and move his Third Army through a winter storm to Bastogne, KU can stage this game in a damned ice storm. There are good men and women out their needing to play and watch basketball in the midst of these ongoing ungodly politics and journalism. We're not waiting another day. We're not waiting another hour to stage this game. We're going to attack this ice storm and we're going to keep attacking, and we're going to PLAY THIS GAME...OR LET NO FAN COME BACK ALIVE!!
I nominate this post to the Hall of Posts.

Whatever the case KU has 2 really good NBA players for future kids to look up to. At some point KU will benefit down the road in recruiting from it.
Thanks for setting the tone and the perception of this topic.
We should not bash either of these kids but relish in the fact as KU fans we can discuss who will be better.
Nice job.
Yea there is still a lot of basketball to be played by both of these KU kids. Yet why wait tell their careers are over or cemented to have this conversation? I mean if we have that conversation then it's kind of pointless. As we would already know. No this is the prefect time to have this conversation.
Twenty years from now. When we look back on the careers of Wiggins and Embiid. Who has the better career? Do either one become a Hall of Famer?
When Wiggins came to KU he was considered as the Next Lebron James. As unfair as it is to saddle a young kid with such expectations. It did happen, and does that effect how we look at and rate Wiggins. Can he shed that tag of being the next great one?
Embiid was supposed to be a project player. He had potential but was more looked as a project player. His explosion in his first year landed him in the top of the NBA draft. I believe only Pitino came on public record saying that Embiid would be a stud before he even put on a Jayhawk jersey.
I'm not an NBA guy so take my diatribe with a grain a salt. I believe Embiid will be remembered the most, Yet feel Wiggins will have the better stats and career. I really think Embiid playing for the 76ers will hurt his over all career, and how it's viewed. Also as much as we KU fans don't like it, but teams and players are viewed by how many championships have you won. That is why I give Wiggins the edge. I could be wrong but feel he has a better chance of getting his hands on a couple trophies.
Yet at the end of the day I'm not a NBA fan, so what do I really know.
Big Ben doesn't worry me.
Bell scares me a lot.
Yet Chiefs offense is humming right now since Reid took off the leg shackles on Smith. It should be a good game.
