@FarmerJayhawk Mitch didn't even vote to convict.

What we've learned: Trump didn't disappear after losing the election. QAnon is dangerous. And Mitch McConnell is testicle-free.

His argument is forum non conveniens. I disagree but at least he was consistent about it. Also Schumer is a chode. Totally blew it. There’s a truthism in DC that the most dangerous place in town is between Chuck and a camera. He keeps proving it.

I think that's a near inevitability, especially on defense. A full offseason with 15 spring practices will be huge given we'll have 45ish true freshmen on the roster this spring, 60 in the fall.

I think we are back to our full limit now aren't we ?

Really close. I think we’ll be at 80ish come fall. The 22 class will be probably 12-15. Pretty small.

So young - - so very young I think i read of TOS that when it's all said and done we have like 49 freshman

49 true freshmen! We’ll have around 55 total including redshirts come summer.

I'd take 4-8 every single time with this crew. Huge for momentum going into 22

Is out! Planting my flag at 2-10. 1 at minimum, 4 max. https://kuathletics.com/kansas-football-unveils-2021-schedule/ ↗

Frank >>>>>> Blanks all day every day. I actually don’t hate Fran, though I see why a lot do. He talks about KU like Self would if he was calling our game.

So, what's the word on Sidney Curry, has he signed? I Hope so. He has three years of eligibility at KU, if he so chooses. I think he was - considering the neverending NCAA cloud - a freaking steal.

Can’t sign until April. Haven’t heard he’s wavering or anything.

@Crimsonorblue22 very! Got 5 more inches this weekend! It’s good. We really needed the moisture for the wheat.

Aka the hometown of one FarmerJayhawk! Everyone go visit. Then head to town and have the noon special at Ladow’s Cafe. More food than you can eat for $3.99. Lori’s cobbler is TO DIE FOR

Oh but the 3 best players for West Virginia today were 1 top 100 a juco and who knows what McBride was ranked. Developed talent makes a difference

And we split with them. About what you’d expect given the winner in each had a whacky outlier in shooting

Huggy Bonus Game Thread • Feb 06, 2021 09:27 PM

Have a hard time feeling much of anything about this one. We played really hard. They went out and made a ton of junk. In the past we could weather that because we had the talent, but just don’t have it this year. Only one top 50 player played today (Dave).

Question , watching the Missouri /Kentucky game. Is the Braun that plays for Missouri related to Christian? - -brother , Cousin ? - just curious spelt the same - pronounced the same

Brothers. Is their mom in the crowd? Might flip over for that...

2021 Recruiting • Feb 03, 2021 08:52 PM

Look for Grays to wind up JuCO

Dearmon • Feb 03, 2021 08:33 PM

Was impressed by his comments today. Especially that he's going to evaluate what we have, then design the scheme around it. Dearmon seemed fairly inflexible in that regard.

2021 Recruiting • Feb 03, 2021 05:31 PM

Soooo Grays has some grades issues and his offer from KU was likely a greyshirt. He may take a 21 counter at MTSU. Heck of a lot easier to get into CUSA than the Big 12 if grades are spotty.

200 • Feb 03, 2021 03:12 AM

Is the number of times we’ve beaten KSU. That’s more than any team has beaten another in NCAA basketball history.

Quay and Grays are solid. Not anticipating any real news tomorrow.

Dearmon • Feb 02, 2021 11:02 PM

This is getting some good play in the coaching world. Debord still is highly respected in the industry.

Dearmon • Feb 02, 2021 10:32 PM

His offenses at Tennessee were pretty good. And they took an absolute dump after he left. Dropped 70(!) spots in total offense from 16 to 17.

Dearmon • Feb 02, 2021 09:11 PM

Appears Mike Debord is the guy. Jobs of note: Michigan OC 97-99, 06-07, CMU HC 00-03, Tennessee OC 15-16, IU OC 17-18. I don't love it, don't hate it. Just meh.

Coach Hot Seat and Players to Poach • Feb 02, 2021 02:32 AM

Myreon Jones would be an elite get. Not a big assist guy in his role there but 44% from 3 and his athleticism would play

Is that article suggesting that the kids might drop out of high school when they join the league?

Sounds like it’ll be a virtual HS kind of situation. Not ideal from an education standpoint but maybe not a terrible option if the kid has zero interest in college.

Brought this up during the game so here it is:

Remarkably similar to the Texas game. There’s a highly significant proportion of the shooting that’s been just dumb luck. Most nights Texas and Tennessee wouldn’t shoot 40% from 3 against air.

Worst KU Team Since? • Jan 31, 2021 01:13 AM

A team that came into the day ranked 219th in 3% went 5-7. A couple 3’s swing each way back to the mean it’s a different game entirety.

And why do you think they are 5-7 - -because they getting wide open looks

They don’t make 5-7 in an empty gym against air most days. It’s just one of those days for them. It happens.

Stop making excuses for KU's shitty defense tonight. They went 5-7 because KU can't cover shit right now and left them open all damn half. That's why they hit 5-7.

A team just lighting it up beyond what they’d do against air isn’t an excuse. Please genius tell me where I said defense was good. Please. Or don’t be a douche about it. Your call.

You also haven't said the defense was bad so stop making excuses for KU's shitty defense giving UT open looks and making it easier for them shoot above their average.

It’s not an excuse, it’s a fact. Defense could be better but the analytics are clear that defense has a small effect on how the opponent shoots. They’ll cool off, we’ll get better.
