KU Players Leaving/Staying Tracker β€’ Mar 27, 2017 04:23 PM

I am going to go all Bobby Knight, but we might of tried some shot fakes on bell. That and switching to 2 bigs with Bragg stretching the D could have worked wonders. Simple adjustments Were lacking from the coach I was bragging about for being the KOA (king of adjustments).

2 shot fakes getting bell in the air for 2 early fouls and we may not be crying in our beer. But then that may have been beyond Landens repotoir.

Maybe We Should Start Listening To My Wife.... β€’ Mar 27, 2017 02:39 AM

I watched a good part of the OR vs MI game and OR just did not look that good....no where near the team that showed up Sat. The prospect of beating KS turns our opponents into mutants.

Frank's tweet breaks my heart. He deserved a better ending than his friends all wetting their pants.

KU Hasn't Peaked in the Tourney Yet, Because... β€’ Mar 25, 2017 06:11 PM

@drgnslayr We could win every game by 50 and have a player score 40+ and another have a triple double and we would still get no favorable press. The CBS headlines were ludicrous after we won.

Reverse 360 β€’ Mar 24, 2017 03:16 PM

I did think the 360 was a response to tbe bogus tech in the mi state game.

Another way to look at it

1st 12 min - Josh out if control and kinda freaking out

Next 28 min - Josh in control and freaking Turnoveragan and Ivan Drago out.

Jackson The Disruptor β€’ Mar 24, 2017 11:57 AM

It sure seemed like more than 1 block. Must have been 6-8 shots altered then.

Reverse 360 β€’ Mar 24, 2017 11:40 AM

So let's share what Bill would have said had Vick not executed the mind blowing dunk of the tourney?

I'll start us off...

The bus is waiting, go get on....down at the Amtrak station.

Bill Self is great at making adjustments, most other coaches stand there frustrated yelling a lot. Painter was one of those coaches. Game, set, match.

KU v. PU: Junk Zone Time for Both Teams? β€’ Mar 22, 2017 10:38 PM

@jaybate-1.0. I start licking the chops when other teams zone us. I think we have the best zone busting system in the US of A. Great ball movement., stellar passers, great trifectanators, excellent pickers, and super slashers. Please oh please zone us purdue.

Great quote from Landen β€’ Mar 22, 2017 06:18 PM

It worked for Richard scott

Mercy , Mercy β€’ Mar 21, 2017 10:54 AM

@jaybate-1.0 We have the assasins. Ain't gonna happen this year. We have too many good shooters and slashers for all to go cold. This team is nails. Bill will have them amped.

Get Ready For the Riverboat Gambler... β€’ Mar 20, 2017 01:43 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Wonder what bill said about it. Sounds like a 17 year old kid not doing what the doctor ordered.

Get Ready For the Riverboat Gambler... β€’ Mar 20, 2017 01:39 AM

Bill already said to the press 2 weeks ago there is zero chance Doke Will play, so either he is the worst poker player and has revealed his hand. Or he is the best bluffer of all time.

Missed the WSU Loss to UK... β€’ Mar 20, 2017 12:37 AM

@Fightsongwriter said:

@BShark True but if you just watched drives to the bucket, WSU got zero calls and KY got every call. It altered the game outcome. WSU got a ton of 50/50 balls after a KY player bludgeoned a WSU driver which is what kept them in the game.

PS. Connor is not very good. Speaking of less athletic.

I am not a big fan, but I was rooting for the home state team. The whistle disparity was ridiculous. WSU was rooked.

Dwight Coleby Appreciation Thread β€’ Mar 20, 2017 12:29 AM

If we make it to F4 we must never forget the epic performance of Coleby in crunch time when we needed him most. He was stout.

Bleacher Report says no Naismith for BIFM β€’ Mar 20, 2017 12:26 AM

I think everyone knows who the POY is. Even the announcers are on board and we get very little attention.

@JayHawkFanToo Any idea what time on Sun. I can't find anything and we are coming back from spring break trip.

Frank's Daily Routine β€’ Mar 12, 2017 12:39 PM

I've done P90X 1 and 2, cross fit, and Insanity (and I'm old, started at age 45 and still going at 50), and I will tell you that the stuff they are doing in those videos is outrageously difficult, and far more "extreme" than any of the DVD program junk. The behind the back clap on the pushups is especially impressive. Don't try that at home if you value your face!

GRAYSON ALLEN IS A DIRTY PLAYER β€’ Mar 07, 2017 01:00 AM

@wissox there is a reason duke rhymes with puke!

Contender or Pretender? β€’ Mar 06, 2017 07:19 PM

@Blown I would have no problem telling Connor exactly which play we are going to run. And then enjoy the heck out of watching him try to stop Frank, DG, Josh, or Vick. We will abuse him.

Prepare Yourself With Blinders and Earplugs β€’ Mar 06, 2017 07:10 PM

I bought GA tix for the TCU game and we wound up in the student section. It was fun. Lots of energy and confetti.

Naismith Court Stormed β€’ Mar 06, 2017 06:54 PM

I can envision the whole ad campaign

When you are a blue blood' only thè trophies storm the court.

Call the contractor, time to expand the trophy case!

Naismith Court Stormed β€’ Mar 06, 2017 12:25 PM

Back on February 22 when KU won its 13th consecutive conference championship, James Naismith Court was stormed for the first time in...maybe forever, and you may have missed it.

I was at the game and did not even realize the court had been stormed until I had an epiphany yesterday night.

The court was stormed by our trophies!!

Guys β€’ Mar 06, 2017 01:48 AM

@JayHawkFanToo If Bragg keeps canning the J it opens up the middle even more for the assassins to drive it.

And those HOFers were 6'5" and 6'8"

Flakes versus Assassins β€’ Mar 05, 2017 02:51 PM

@ralster Josh Selby....Lord of the Flakes!

How could I have forgotten him? Oh wait, it was easy. The anti-Josh.

Flakes versus Assassins β€’ Mar 05, 2017 02:46 PM

@wissox Those were sweet dunks. T-rob alley oop vs Baylor and Josh slam earlier this year were the only ones better. Maybe Raef vs MU.

But then WAyne flaked out again.

Flakes versus Assassins β€’ Mar 05, 2017 02:40 PM

@ralster Could you imagine a team of 5 unselfish Josh types? Would be awesome to behold but we don't get long-stacks right, @jaybate-1.0

Flakes versus Assassins β€’ Mar 05, 2017 01:39 PM

@HighEliteMajor Our coach is of course an assassin too. I think because of their lack of flakiness gene, he has given them more latitude than the guys that drove him crazy...and he drove them right to the bench, or eventually out of town.

GRAYSON ALLEN IS A DIRTY PLAYER β€’ Mar 05, 2017 01:26 PM

@DoubleDD My daughter is a High school tennis player so we like to watch Serena. She frightens me! πŸ˜„

Flakes versus Assassins β€’ Mar 05, 2017 01:24 PM

@stoptheflop That's the whole point, our current players are assassins!

Flakes versus Assassins β€’ Mar 05, 2017 01:23 PM

@BShark See the Gayson Allen thread for badmouthing. I'm not even talking entirely on court behavior, although that is the main focus. Ty had the least flakiness on court of the group, but he did have some. I loved EJ and Ty, so don't take it wrong. But with it all on the line I want an assassin like Frank or Josh or DG.

GRAYSON ALLEN IS A DIRTY PLAYER β€’ Mar 05, 2017 12:03 PM

@KUSTEVE Serena would beat him up!

Flakes versus Assassins β€’ Mar 05, 2017 12:01 PM

Out on a limb time....

This year will be different than past early bow outs because we have cold blooded assasins this year and no flakes. 5 guys can step up and hit killer shots in the clutch..

Nadiir, Selden, Greene, even Tyshawn and Elijah. Frankamp and Oubre for sure. We had lots of guys who were good players, but the all had the flakey gene on some level, some more than others.

No such gene exists in Frank, Josh, Devonte, Vick. SVI, maybe a little but he does hit some shots and by now his minutes are dwindling and Bill won't let him hurt us.

The Assassins, Seal Team 4, Hoops Special Ops are on a mission to get Bill #2. They are battle tested assasins who relish the pressure moments. And unlike the flakes, they don't choke. They deliver.

So I am out on the limb saying it is going to be a F4 year. From there, anything can happen, but I like our chances with the 4 Assasins.

Guys β€’ Mar 05, 2017 11:49 AM

@jayballer54 First time in some time that Bragg hit jumpers and got points other than at the rim. That is a very good sign if he can keep it going. Looking at body language, it appears thè toughening box is working.

The game had a lot more flow to it with players making play which made for a very enjoyable watch.

Personally, I liked the subplot of counting off Frank's assists in his quest for 20/5. Personally I never saw 7, but 8&9 were sweet to give him the record. No talk about it on the broadcast of course.

GRAYSON ALLEN IS A DIRTY PLAYER β€’ Mar 05, 2017 11:40 AM

Allen = Snot faced frat boy-bad boy. Farthest thing from a bad ass. I bet he was the bully who took little kids milk money. The toughs in the NBA will chew him up and spit him out.

But this thread was fun to remember what a DB Lambier was.

Wilt β€’ Mar 02, 2017 11:34 PM

That is ridiculous

@jaybate-1.0 Since the nba controls the OAD rule, what if the ncaa fought back so to speak by implementing a rule that says you can extend no more than X number of scholarships per year? You still get 14 total (or whatever the number is), but there would be a max per year which could limit stacking and create more of a chance for 3-4 year players. I'm sure my idea has huge flaws, but it struck me as a possible way to get back to more "true" teams and collegiate athletics (college being a 4 year odyssey).

NEW ASSEMBLY HALL BRACKET β€’ Mar 01, 2017 08:48 PM

And people made fun of perry for being at ku a long time. He must be 31! Sheesh.
