Even in the NBA All-Star game, I did not see a player cover so much of the court bouncing the ball so few times...
If I understand correctly in order to review the play, a "call" had to be made. Since no call was made, I am not sure the play is reviewable, although I could be mistaken. IMHO, the shooting clock violation should have been reviewed.
We routinely get screwed by the refs at home...why would it be any better on the road?
The situation at Denver might be better than Portland. While the Blazer only have Aldridge as the other PF, they have 4 Centers on the roster that routinely play PF. At Denver he will backup Faried and Arthur but other than that, Denver does not have a glut of bigs since Mosgov was trade to the Cavaliers. I understand Denver is trying to trade JaVale McGee and his big salary ($11M+) which would open more playing time but they have been unable to find a team that would take him and his big contract.
I really get upset when fair weather fans start beating on the players from the safety of their computers. I will guess most of the ones doing the criticism are beer guzzling, balding middle age men with huge beer bellies that couldn't jump 6 inches from the ground if their lives depended on it and the only exercise they get is changing channels from the comfort of their lazy boys and yet they criticize superior athletes just because they did not execute one play to their satisfaction? I find it pretty sad and pathetic.
I know some people find it "fashionable" to constantly criticize Perry (and other players/coaches) even when he has been one of our steadier if not steadiest player. A few days ago there was thread with names of potential all-conference players and I did not see Perry's name. Interesting that a few days later at a meeting with a client and while visiting after the meeting with several individual that were fans of other teams, almost all had Perry as an all-conference selection, how sad that fans of other programs appreciate Perry more than many KU fans do. I guess the expression ...the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence...is true after all.
Please don't reply to my post telling me how wrong I am and how bad Perry is...I am tired of the negativity. I am a loyal KU fan and as such, I stand behind the team in the good times and more importantly on the bad times as well.
Goldylocks juts picked up his third foul...
He has 12 rebounds...
Goldylocks?
I believe every KU fan should read up about the pre-ESPN players. So amazing individuals played for KU as @DCHawker mentioned. When I first looked at the list Lovellette and Valentine were names that came to mind. I did not see Lovellete play but I have read enough to be fairly familiar with him; I did see Darnell Valentine..what I remember is that he had thighs bigger than my chest...never have seen anyone quite like him.
He did the UK game last night...maybe he got snowed in?
ISU 4-15 from 3...OSU is good defending the 3. Niang only 5 points
OSU ahead of ISU 47-46...how nice it would be if they can keep it up...
Ditto for me. Very often the older players don't get the credit they deserve.
Not the best of videos but you can see the walk...and at least one carry...

You are indeed correct. Most college say they spend the first weeks of practice weaning players of the bad habit acquired in High School.
Spot on.
Correct me if am wrong but TTBOMK, the largest lead KU had was 6 points (49-43) and not 10 points...
Much was made of that UTEP team and a lot of that is selective memory. The movie makes it appear as if UTEP was the only team using black players and everybody else was using white players; it might have been true for Rupp and Kentucky and maybe the MU slavers, but many teams were relying on black players long before that. The movie implies that UTEP was the first team with predominantly black players to win the Tournament in 1966, It fails to mention that as far back as 195, Bill Russel and Casey Jones led San Francisco to the title, in 1962 Cincinnati won with 4 black starters and the next year Loyola did the same thing. If I recall correctly (please correct if I am wrong) KU started only one white player, Ron Franz, in the game against UTEP.
Many of the racial attacks presented in that movie never happened and were made up to add drama. At one point the coach tells the players you are the future of professional basketball...really?...at the time, the top 4 players in the NBA were Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russel, Oscar Robertson and Elgin Baylor. Again, the movie is a long ways from reality, much like the bad call on JoJo's shot.
A 2 game suspension does not seem long enough, prompt apology notwithstanding, for an infraction that made the cover of every sports publication because of its brazen nature.
Kevin Young was listed at a generous 6'-8" and 190 pounds soaking wet; he was rail thin. However he was an above average rebounder not because of his height and definitely not because of his heft, he was good because he had knack for anticipating where the ball would go and knowing how to get and maintain position, something our bigs are sorely missing. While you can learn this skills, a lot of it is natural instinct and the better rebounders have it, others have to learn it.
I would think the A-10s are too heavy and awkward to become drones, they also lack the fly by wire capability needed and would require a lot of modifications and they are not the easiest plane to fly ( or so I am told) so controlling them remotely would be even harder. There are only about 50+ A-10s left in service so they will probably be scrapped, used by the National Guard as trainers, send as military aid to some allied country or sold to collectors like a lot of the older fighters are.
I don't believe for one second that Coach Self held them back; WVU defenders were glued to KU's 3 point shooters in the first half and Greene, God bless him, cannot create his own shot and will shoot only when wide open, which in this game did not happen much. It was only when WVU got tired in the second half and backed off the press some that KU shooters were able to connect from 3.
The official box score indicates 22 offensive and 37 total rebounds for WVU.
WVU had 15 fouls and they average 24 for the season and 26 in conference play...no question a lot of fouls went uncalled.
I believe you have it backwards. It was the Sterling Gibbs from Seton Hall that attacked Ryan Arcidiacono of Villanova.
I guess your dictionary definition will need a rewrite...
Nite, nite folks...
Too much momentum...
I might stay away from the Forum tomorrow...i dread the analysis that will follow.

Gave that away...revenge will be sweet at AFH

One ref reminded the other the check cleared...I mean it is WVU ball after alll
