Not that I am a well known poster for lack of posting, but I would venture to guess my profile picture would take the guess work out of it 😊
Sorry hard to type on my phone, a lot of errors in my post
@JayHawkFanToo I despise that guy, best post so far. Happy day I'm Jayhawk land, I'm gonna take off work and watch Dialli videos all night and read more about him, you think I'm kidding but I'm not 🎄🎄🎄🎄 in April
I saw a special on BMAC last year that showed he moved somewhere close to 20 family members out to Sacramento and takes care of all of them. I would have loved for him to stay as well, but I do like hearing how he has such a big heart for his community and family and he is one early entry that I understood and he showed us why he choose to leave. Glad he is putting his millions to use and not wasting it like so many others do.
@wissoxfan83 I think the speculation is that he followed Perry ab 1 hour after posting the picture w all the schools above him, not when he met Perry from when he visited KU.
I heard news on SC that Kevin Ollie may leave UCONN to be the head coach of OKC, I then went to 247 sports and noticed their top recruit Jalen Adams a 4 star PG had KU high on his list after UCONN per the Crystal ball. I think we are pretty set w Mason and Graham but I did find this interesting. If Ollie leaves would Adams be able to transfer?
Herrera was out of line I agree, but the amount of HBP the Royals have seen and the injury to Escy on that slide seem out of line. I know someone has to lead the league in HBP's but the Royals are getting treated like a hated team. From my perception the Royals are anything but that, making the playoffs after 30 years and an underdog run to the WS last year made them a fun story. This year you would think we were the hated Yankees or something. Blows my mind. In the words of Cain, I just need a break. I have appreciated the Royals players having one anothers back and hope that the injuries end for the Royals.
@crimsonblue22 I dont think it changes much, however good bad or neutral, I'm jazzed as could be that Kentucky just lost with "the best recruiting class of all time".
More or less likely to want to go to Kentucky now? Or does it even matter?
@KUSTEVE no hard feelings, my bad too.
I am either overly optimistic and when KU gives me no reason to be I am overly sarcastic. To be optimistic, we yet again won another title, 11 in a row, we have a great kid running the point for two more years, we have extra games this summer, and we have a coach who runs a great system, the system however only works with the right players. Ellis is not a true big man and LL was never expected to contribute starter minutes. Cliff was a bust of a big man for more than one reason and the High Low works best when you actually have a threat inside to throw down low to. I for one am proud of this team, always love to watch KU play, and will hope for better things next year, especially inside. I think we are more than good w Mason and Graham, SELDEN @KUSTEVE lol, and Svi. Here is to another off season of anticipation and checking recruiting sites way too often and hoping for big developments from LL, Jamari, and HM!
@RedRooster thanks for all the upvotes, lol
justifies defending myself, absolutely
name calling? someone tells me to go collect change at the bus stop? hmmm
@KUSTEVE you are a hateful person, chill out man
@KUSTEVE I stand the whole game, just saying
@KUSTEVE sarcasm would be the whole team is going overseas next year
@KUSTEVE why so butt hurt?
@KUSTEVE send those who have no humor overseas
send seldon overseas
This has been one of the hardest teams to root for this year, I for one am not happy with a loss, but at least the maddening season is over
Ku is known to play one good half and one bad half, usually don't see them play one good half of a half and one bad half of a half, very frustrating how we play with a lead.
I know neither team is big inside and both have good guard play. I am personally rooting to play WSU so we can shut them up.
Anyone see the article hating on the Big 12 this morning on ESPN? I can't help but appreciate the negative attention as a gut check for the likes of Oklahoma and especially our boys! If we were taking anyone for granted, we wont be now. I wanted good things in the tourny for the Big 12, but this can only help our motivation and grab our attention!
@Kip_McSmithers Could Hogue be more clueless? Does he not know we just won our 11th straight? That comment would make more since if they displaced us by winning the Big 12 Conference title
Wow, a call that big should be reviewable, know its not allowed but wow
Box and 1 on alford?
Alford is sick
Got an idea, guard alford, 7 made threes???
That was hopin coach brown wins btw
Trust in ku, haase and coach brown win, dont trust in anyone else in the big 12, 0-3
This iowa state game is a great remimder that the tourny is ab matchups, not who is comimg in hot
He should get used to playing overseas, his game is made for it
@brooksmd I am too much of a homer to dwell on losing
Agreed, they quicly study for the game in front of them. On a side not does anyone else notice Niang when he hands of the ball during the weave and then backs up backwards into the defense to set a screen, its a movimg screen. He did it more than 5 times against ku in the chamoionship game. Its cheap basketball and the refs let it go
Thanks @brooksmd, no one wants to hear my overly emotional thought during the game, I take it out on my thera-putty my wife bought me lol
@Crimsonorblue22 I heard the same thing, they love headlines, sounds better to mistate ISU as champs if they get upset. Uab killing it on the glass
My 7 yr old daughter will probably beat us all
Great article, as a father of 5 kids 9 years old and younger, this was very inspiring.
Agreed, WSU also needs to beat Indiana first, and not that it matters but the guys on bracketology are picking Indiana to win. Self said our guys don't get excited for much when asked about their lack of emotion on selection sunday as you can tell by how we play. Some of the possible matchups and rematches in this bracket are sure to bring some emotion out of them.
As soon as Im at home and not on my tablet im game, this would be my first year. It would be fun to have some kind of wager, although the logistics would be difficult, but Ku tickets funded by each entry winner takes all type of bracket.
@joeloveshawks I agree as well, one of the best sports days of the year. I will fill out entirely too many brackets, I will pick KU in all but a few, I will root for teams I don't care about and I will not one time think about losing yesterday because as you said, it simply doesn't matter. In years past when we did win the conference championship game and then follow with a loss any time in the tourney I never and will never feel solace in the fact that we won the Big 12 tournament.
@Lulufulu I can't imagine him being 100% considering he couldn't play yesterday, however he will be healthy enough to draw some attention inside and maybe kick it out so those three's we have to take will be more open
This is maybe hopeful thinking, but playing Baylor's zone and Perry not at 100%, I see this as a game that will force us to play "fools gold" basketball...tonight we break out of our shooting slump from 3!
Thank you basketball gods
However winning the Big 12 outright tomorrow night at home is also a great thing to root for, so in reality, its a win win tonight for me.
I root for Ou tonight in the same breath that I root KU wins outright leaving what anyone else does to be nullified.
I agree Perry should be considered 1st Team All Conference. What I am enjoying most about watching Perry dominate these last 5 games is of course how aggressive he has been going to the basket and throwing down some great dunks. What I am also impressed with is how well the team is rallying behind him as a leader, seeming to make sure he gets the ball on every possession.
I would love to see Perry with the ball in his hands more much like a Georges Niang. Perry is a great passer and has a high basketball IQ. He has become an impossible guard with how well he handles the ball, how well he shoots from outside, and all of his "blender" type post moves. Imagine him adding a Point Forward type of play to his repertoire. I think Self is right in that Perry is playing at his ceiling, but I think the next step could be seeing Perry also as a facilitator.
I of course will root for the Cyclones tonight only because it favors the Jayhawks, however a part of me would be very happy to see Iowa State lose three straight, two of which came at thier "magical" home court.
Iowa State has become my new personal rival, much like Missouri for the following reasons;
-
They recently claim some kind of Hilton Magic after a few good seasons, I would love to see that magic stomped on tonight while we hopefully have yet another undefeated season at home.
-
It has really gotten on my nerves how the most dry, non humorous coach in the big 12 is now a comedic commercial all-star, the apple of the big 12's eye (even his wife has cameras follow her on a very boring day and it makes TV). All our coach does is win conference championships, a national title and debatably is the best coach in all of college basketball over the last ten years, somehow that just isn't fun to cover anymore.
-
The idea that Iowa State takes accomplished players from other teams as transfers and coaches em up on how to play a run and gun offense (of which any player can easily learn) is admonished over coaching up a 4 year player like the rest of the league does is not far from dare I say Calipari-esque?
After writing this...no, no I am not rooting for the Cyclones, I wish them all the fate I once did Missouri! Thank you Iowa State. its always much more fun to despise a good rival.
