Josh Allen Gonna Derek Carr the Chiefs • Oct 19, 2020 01:57 PM

The defense needs to play better.

Mahomes needs to maneuver in the pocket a little bit better to help out his lineman.

The defense needs to play better.

Like where we stand on that list too.

Gethro Muscadin commits to KU • Oct 15, 2020 06:14 PM

Are you hearing things? @BShark

2020 just won't let us have a win.

Self talking about the team • Oct 08, 2020 05:42 PM

I'm still waiting for the first "I've heard Mitch added the three to his game" of the season. I'm flabbergasted nobody here has said it yet lol.

2021 Recruiting • Oct 07, 2020 12:27 AM

Tough to convince guys that it'll get better when you look this shitty. Not even a single thing positive to point at as far as I'm concerned.

Self talking about the team • Oct 06, 2020 04:00 PM

I hope he’s a force. I’m so torn on who I think gets minutes.

My brain says we saw Wilson last year. And unless he made a massive jump, he is going to be the outside looking in. And you really can’t take these comments from Bill at face value.

At the same time I could see Wilson actually putting it together a little bit and carving out a roll.

Good problem to have.

Self talking about the team • Oct 05, 2020 09:32 PM

@BShark my guess is TGF ends up being the odd man out. But that’s just a guess at this point. I thought Enaruna showed some flashes last year of next level talent so I’d hate to see him go.

Self talking about the team • Oct 05, 2020 07:30 PM

Someone is not going get the minutes they want.

TGF, Enaruna or Wilson.

I just don’t see a way you play all of them. Braun played so well last year he’s going to get minutes. Thompson is supposed to be our ringer. Ochai is Ochai. Garrett is Garrett.

So one of those three is likely to have a few DNPs

Ain't that a B • Oct 05, 2020 02:13 AM

@BShark It's one of the things I love about the site. Just hysterical someone would take the time to sign-up just to come troll a random site...

Self talking about the team • Oct 05, 2020 02:11 AM

I love the roster from a depth/athleticism standpoint though.

They should be a top 5 team defensively again. I'd say at least half of the minutes will be played with nobody shorter than 6'5 on the court. They have the length to really be a nuisance.

I think this may be the year Bill brings back the 3-2... Perfect team for it. Put Garrett up top, Thompson and TGF on the wings in the passing lanes. Enaruna and a big in the post.

Clearly going to struggle to score at times this year unless Ochai can bring some stability. But he was streaky last season. It'll be interesting to see if Bryce can grow in to that roll of the go to scorer though.

I'll be curious to see who starts. I really like Garrett, Bryce, Braun, Ochai and Big Dave. Harris, Enaruna and TGF the first three off the bench.

We really need to see Silvio take a leap this year. Just mentally. Because if it is Silvio of last year or Mitch as backup C, that is no bueno.

Interesting to note Bill listed Jalen as one of the three shooters on the team that he "trusts". Maybe he plays more than we thought.

yikes. I do not like this.

@mayjay it is hard to not be a social creature for an extended period of time.

I just wish mask wearing wasn’t political.

Trump has COVID • Oct 04, 2020 10:16 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 I caught it the beginning of August. I really haven’t had any residual side effects. It took me about a full month to get my lungs back but I’m good now.

@Kcmatt7 do you know how you got it and what were your symptoms?

Im not 100% sure where I picked it up. I had gone to a few bar patios with friends so I assume there somewhere.

And then it lasted about 11 days for me. I felt like I had a cold the first week and developed a high fever on day 6. At which point it felt like I had the flu. I had like super fatigue the first 4 days but got some energy back day 5. Lost taste and smell day 5. Lost 15 pounds when it was all said and done.

Overall, I’d say it could be worse. Honestly you’re so paranoid during it, and that’s the worst part. Otherwise I just slept lol.

Trump has COVID • Oct 03, 2020 05:29 AM

I hope he recovers. I’ve had it and it sucks.

I just can’t help but have a shit-eating grin that he contracted it though...

I don't understand how to read this graph. Who decides what 0 is?

How do we know if a judge is liberal or conservative?

Ruth Bader Ginsberg Dead at 87 • Sep 30, 2020 03:50 PM

I have no issue with them adding someone to the Supreme Court. They were elected for four years. Dems would do the same if given the same opportunity and their candidate was down in polls.

So far the Supreme Court, even with a conservative leaning majority, stayed pretty even keel and I don't expect ACB to come in and change that all by herself. I know the chart below is subjective to an extent, but I think it does a good job illustrating that the court has done a good job balancing itself out overall.

Good. He is the best player they have, he should touch the ball 25-30 times a game.

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 30, 2020 03:32 PM

Imagine not voting Pat and Russ 1-2 or vice versa even before the season.

Those two just play at a different level.

IF I had to give credence to the debates:

I thought a tie goes to Biden for the fact that Trump set Biden’s expectations so low. Calling him a dementia riddled idiot who can’t string to words together much less last 90 minutes in a debate sort of put Biden’s bar super low. To the point just finishing it without a major slip up gave Biden some points.

Like if you were on the fence with Biden because you thought he couldn’t hang, I don’t see how last night wouldn’t change your mind on that. He was coherent and clear basically all night. Minus a couple of tongue slips which could happen to literally anyone. The green new deal part for instance.

I always think the debates are funny for that reason. Who doesn’t know who they’re voting for already?

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 29, 2020 09:08 PM

@nuleafjhawk said in Baltimore Beat Down:

@Kcmatt7 Lamar Jackson is out of position. In my humble, and correct opinion he should be a receiver. He is definitely a good athlete, probably has good hands and is very quick.

Which means he will not last as an NFL QB because if you run the ball as much as he does someone is going to lay him out and then Baltimore will have no QB.

He does a good job of not taking hits. Honestly. I’ve seen Pat take more hits than Lamar, so I don’t see him getting hurt anymore likely than Pat.

And as Bshark points out he’s been wildly successful so far in the regular season. I’m not trying to knock Lamar. He’s a good QB. But Pat is just better and the narrative that Lamar is even close is so funny.

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 29, 2020 03:56 PM

Lamar is a talent. But he's not Mahomes. I don't know how anyone who watches the actual games can think otherwise.

I think Lamar will have an issue winning the big one because he can't throw the ball. If I was Baltimore, I'd be drafting nothing but OL and defensive players if I was sticking with him. With Lamar the only way they are winning is old school. Elite running game and an elite defense. He's just not an elite passer and you can show me stats but my eyes tell me something different.

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 29, 2020 12:34 PM

Man this team is so dang good.

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 28, 2020 04:16 PM

I hate the spy. Make Jackson beat you. Don’t give him a 10 man defense to beat. Jmo.

I will say, I've learned a lot in just a month and a half of owning a house.

  1. The list never stops. Quite honestly, the more you do the more it grows. For instance, I ripped out an old decaying deck that was put over a nice concrete porch only to reveal major wood rot to my rim joist.

  2. I am much handier than I thought I'd have been capable of. I used to be scared to do anything thinking if I messed it up worse it would be more expensive to fix. Now? I'm replacing my own Rim Joist on top of all of the actual home renovations we've been doing. Definitely a sense of pride I'd say.

The real problem is we tapped into our wedding savings just a little bit. We need to back off a bit for a few months. I just want to do everything now is the problem! I'm scared I'll lose motivation after we move in.

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 27, 2020 10:14 PM

No we pushed it to next summer. @Crimsonorblue22

Bought a house instead lol

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 27, 2020 09:17 PM

Note I said this before the fumble in his own end zone

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 27, 2020 07:25 PM

I just like watching Derek Carr suck. He acts like he gets no respect but he sucks haha. Like you can almost guarantee he’s going to make a play to seal this loss.

Baltimore Beat Down • Sep 27, 2020 06:57 PM

Blitz, blitz and blitz. One of those games you man up and just say may the best team win. Force Jackson to get rid of the ball early and make a good throw. I think the Ravens WRs are very average and are not good 1v1. TEs are good, but aren’t going to house one. So be aggressive. Force negative plays. Hit Jackson early and often.

Chiefs offense will need to play better though no matter what. Tough game though. Ravens are due to get the Chiefs back.

Chargers at SoFi Stadium • Sep 25, 2020 08:09 PM

CEH is a stud, but just his presence changes the game. Don’t force the run with him if it isn’t there.

Chargers at SoFi Stadium • Sep 24, 2020 02:40 PM

Definitely can’t come out flat again.

Chargers at SoFi Stadium • Sep 23, 2020 05:40 PM

@justanotherfan yea I said something about Thornhill earlier. He looks off.

Still think the Chiefs were really smart to keep the same group together as much as possible under the circumstances.

Chargers at SoFi Stadium • Sep 23, 2020 01:16 PM

@stoptheflop nobody tackled well... We get Pennel back this week and Saunders is supposed to be back week 5. So I think our fully stocked DL will help our LBs at some point. But we need to find a Hitchens replacement after the season. I think Gay will come around given time. Still need that 3 down MLB though.

Chargers at SoFi Stadium • Sep 23, 2020 11:04 AM

@AsadZ I guess I mean more like a first round pick on an OL. Or multiple OL in a draft. You don’t want to find out when Fisher or Schwartz are on the downhill. Best to go find a replacement early.

Chargers at SoFi Stadium • Sep 22, 2020 03:11 PM

@AsadZ said in Chargers at SoFi Stadium:

@Kcmatt7 Need to invest in LBs as well, folks who can stop the run.

Hitchens contract was a killer. But definitely need to fine a tackling machine to play up the middle.

Thornhill will be looking for a job too if he keeps playing like he did this week.

Chargers at SoFi Stadium • Sep 22, 2020 12:57 AM

Need to make a major draft capital investment in the offensive line in 2021. Just my two cents.

I also think Pat missed Hill early 1v1 and then Hill has a costly drop. Couldn’t get in a rhythm and the the Chargers were able to kill clock.

Herbert looked like he will be a solid QB. Played with ā€œit.ā€

GAME DAY • Sep 13, 2020 01:32 PM

I fell asleep after we went down 14-0.

Looks like Kendrick will start going forward? How’d he look?

I think we all knew the D was going to be terrible this year.

I think our Offense gets going by the end of the year. I winder how much work we lost this off-season. I can’t believe we played two QBs. I hate that. Just pick a guy and if he sucks for five games at least you can put the backup in and maybe get a spark.

Don Jr Rising Republican Star • Aug 29, 2020 02:31 PM

Republican Party should go ahead and change its name to the Trump Party because that’s where it is heading.

If he wins in November I expect a Trump relative to run every four years for as long as they can.

Find me another government job where you can cuss out the people you serve with no repercussions.

If the police want people to respect them they should also have to treat everyone with respect.

Police officers have the highest rate of domestic violence by occupation.

This is what I mean when I say the job attracts a certain type of person.

Wow. Bucks Boycott Game 5 • Aug 27, 2020 06:46 PM

48 officers died in ā€œfeloniousā€ acts in 2019. 6 were traffic stops.

53 million police interactions with the public in 2015.

Our cops kill about 20 people per state. European security forces kill a tenth of that. Canadians cops kill a tenth of what our cops do per capita.

The U.S. has a problem.

@approxinfinity said in Wow. Bucks Boycott Game 5:

In a situation like this, I think the officer should have restrained the person sooner, and should not have had guns drawn.

I think our love for guns in this country contributes massively to the problem, because use of deadly force is one click away from the outset of every encounter.

It seems like solutions can be found in tactics to make this situation not escalate.

The job attracts people who are likely not trainable in deescalation. Just my opinion.
