Mizzou is just very ungood. Easy looks all around

HIT A THREE. Go in up 20

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:46 PM

Harris was just hustling guys until this week. Must have put money in the game 😂

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:43 PM

@BShark he is so athletic it is impressive… blocking like 4 shots a game right now I think lol

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:42 PM

CB playing like he wants #2 in those rafters

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:40 PM

THERE WE GO

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:40 PM

Well they tried lol

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:40 PM

Intensity from our guys has really died down. We need a dunk or something

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:38 PM

Grady Dick looks like a carbon copy of Braun too. We are going got get this show at least 4 more years.

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:37 PM

Yesufu not going to get in here the first half. Even with no Bobby.

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:35 PM

@BShark he also plays out of control. Just doesn’t see the floor well

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:15 PM

Harris doing that the rest of the year is an absolute game changer

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:11 PM

I don’t even think he got the KU bump into the top 100 did he?

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 08:10 PM

OU looking like they’re going to get a big win. Moser is going to be a menace

Non-KU Games • Dec 11, 2021 07:46 PM

The best games being on at 9PM all season so far has been just a real bummer

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 07:37 PM

I really am genuinely curious why people have a hatred towards MU that makes them not even want to play. Can’t wrap my head around it.

Border War Game Thread • Dec 11, 2021 07:36 PM

So if they didn’t leave the B12 you would still feel this way? Or is it because their administration was proactive and didn’t want to be held hostage by OU/UT, and were ultimately proven to be right/smart to go to the SEC?

@KirkIsMyHinrich said in Border War Game Thread:

I'm not that excited. I'd prefer to have no association with Missouri. Hopefully we win by 50 today.

Because they left the B12 or what?

I still don’t understand why people don’t want to play our biggest rivals.

How many times now has Pearl been spanked? Surely that has something to do with it.

Dude has proven it is worth cheating. Like a baseball player and using steroids, the punishment is just not enough to deter cheating.

I’m so amped. Wish it never went away.

Non-KU Games • Dec 11, 2021 06:23 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 just Grady. Mark Mitchell we were recruiting I believe.

Would be thrilled with this outcome

Recruiting is right where it needs to be. We are getting several high-end multi-year guys every year from here on. We have to improve our unofficial NIL program, but I’m happy with not having to find hidden gems.

Bill is going to get another Natty before he goes if he can keep recruiting like he did the 2022 class.

Dave • Dec 11, 2021 05:49 PM

@BShark just rest him. A non-conference game where we are favored by 25 is not the time to play through injuries

2022 Recruiting Thread • Dec 09, 2021 03:00 PM

@BeddieKU23 I'm not worried about him being good or not. I'm just saying that unless he jumps someone (mainly Bobby) he isn't going to ever get the opportunity to prove himself here. So I don't know why he would stay.

2022 Recruiting Thread • Dec 09, 2021 02:59 PM

@BShark If Rice comes and Braun stays you really only have 30 minutes from the bench. Bobby & Grady are going to eat up a good chunk of those minutes.

2022 Recruiting Thread • Dec 09, 2021 02:26 AM

@BShark Dude barely even saw 10 minutes against UTEP when we were up by 20+ basically the entire game AND Pettiford was out. Just not sure how he ever really gets into the rotation for 20+ minutes. If he doesn't get more run by the end of the year I don't know why he would stay when he could probably get 25+ minutes at two dozen P5 schools...

They helped Grimes get a waiver, I'm sure they would do the same for another guy.

2022 Recruiting Thread • Dec 08, 2021 07:24 PM

I just don't see Yesufu really cracking the rotation for big minutes next year either. This is his 3rd season in D1 CBB and he's getting beat for minutes by Pettiford. Harris has more eligibility left than Yesufu too. There is no way for Yesufu to start at KU the way it looks today.

Why would he stay?

2022 Recruiting Thread • Dec 08, 2021 05:31 PM

2022 Too Early Lineup?

  • PG: Juan/ Pettiford
  • SG: Braun / Yesufu
  • SF: Rice / Dick
  • PF: Wilson? KJ?
  • C: Clemence? KJ? Udeh?

Really think it'll be interesting to see how the post shakes out. Definitely will have the bodies in 2022. Udeh and Zuby will look lost at times, but they both bring a physical presence. KJ is probably the best athlete out of the bunch. Clemence has the BBIQ and skill none of the other 3 will have.

Gut feeling tells me we see Cam, Yesufu and Cuffe in different uniforms next season.

So I feel good about being 2 deep at PG. But they should probably look for a 3rd ballhandler. If Braun does play his way into the draft (looking more likely by the day) then I think you'll see maybe a late signing or a high-end transfer add.

I am betting on Wilson being back. We will have the scholarships available and quite frankly unless he just goes on an absolute tear he should come back.

UTEP Game Thread • Dec 08, 2021 04:50 PM

@mayjay If we don't have that what is the point of even having the board??? Jumping to conclusions against D2 competition and a 30 minute scrimmage where no plays are ran is one of the pillars this board was built upon.

UTEP Game Thread • Dec 08, 2021 03:53 PM

@rockchalkwyo I definitely underestimated him as well... Assumed he would just be the same guy as year ago. He is most certainly not.

UTEP Game Thread • Dec 08, 2021 01:45 PM

Starters got worn out during a long stretch with no dead balls in the first. And then momentum was lost.

I thought a game with normal stoppages would have done us a favor. Looked like our guys got tired and out of rhythm. Being up 27, they probably lost some motivation too.

Hate that they had this game at Sprint Center. Hard to believe they can’t find a better program to play that game. Stands were maybe a little more than half full.

2021-22 PER's & Stats • Dec 06, 2021 06:36 PM

You can see why Bill is pounding the table about being better defensively. This group scores pretty effortlessly (thus far). Even despite starting Jaun, Dave having his moments, and Jalen being slow to start. Certainly the improvements from Braun and Ochai are obvious. But the lack of dropoff from subs also helps. Really felt that preseason this team should be a top 2 or 3 in the country. Right now they look solidly top 10, but maybe not a 1 seed caliber team quite yet.

I swear if they would just come out of the half with a little bit of a killer instinct they could put games away by the 25 minute mark. The last 4 games they basically let teams back into the game and then had to crank it up halfway through the 2nd half to win.

I do think Bill needs to let Remy cook a little bit more. But I can appreciate that Bill is trying to get him to take what is in the flow vs. creating something. Still, I think he is probably one of the best players in the country at taking his guy 1v1 with the shot clock/game clock under 10 and getting a bucket. Silly not to use that to our advantage like we did when we had DG, Frank and Sherron.

Still like what this team can do. And if we can get hot enough we could win the whole thing from a 3 or 4 seed with the talent that is here.

Bill has called a timeout in the first two minutes of the 2nd half three games in a row now?

Come on. The first five minutes of half 2 has been our worst all year
