For this season to be a blip, McBride and Braun are really going to have to shoot the hell out of the ball next season because none of our other guards will.

This is one of the ugliest games I've ever seen. I need to take a shower after this game.
@Texas-Hawk-10 13.6 points per game on 35.8% shooting is not a positive for Reddish when Duke as a team shoots 47.9% from the field. The 1.6 steals per game is nice, but he also turns it over 2.7 times per game, and only averages 2.0 assists per game. His offense is really bad unless he's standing in the corner and making 3-pointers, and his defense is okay.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Yes he also averages 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He's filling up the stat sheet.
@Texas-Hawk-10 His overall stats this season are slightly better than Quentin Grimes, and his shooting percentage and effective shooting percentage are actually worse than Grimes. His draft position is based entirely on future potential and not on the way he's playing right now. Maybe he'll be a good NBA player someday, but currently he's not even good at the college level. And since Duke plays Michigan St today, and not in 3-5 years from now, your post is irrelevant.
It makes Kansas look better if the team that beat them does well in the tournament. And Kentucky is Kentucky so... go Auburn.
Cheering for Tech to win the whole thing, though.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Sorry but the status of somebody who has sucked all year and who was a non-factor in Duke's last 11-point win over Tech is not critical.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Cam Reddish has been having a bad offensive game the entire season. He's shooting 35.8% from the field on the season... Even if he's 100%, Michigan St should not be taking any focus off of Zion (or Barrett) for Reddish. Michigan St should be wanting Reddish to shoot the ball as much as possible. I don't think Reddish being 80% or 100% really impacts the game very much. I don't know why anyone would.
Virginia really lucky to win that game. And Purdue choked.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Not really. Cam Reddish was 1-7 with 8 points the first time Duke beat Tech.
Tech seems like they've gotten a lot better since they lost to Duke earlier in the season. Still, I'd probably take Duke in that game because Tech will have to beat Duke and the stripes most likely.

Auburn just beat the hell out of UNC... makes me feel slightly better about losing.
They made 16 3-pointers tonight. When they shoot like that they are just about impossible to beat.

He might. We didn't think Ochai would this season. Braun can shoot 3's we can always use that.
@BShark This is a good point. The leadership dynamic was inverted on this season's team. Vick didn't act like a senior at all. Dedric is quiet and takes a lot of plays off defensively. Doke got injured and De Sousa got suspended for 2 seasons. I want Garrett and Lightfoot back because even if they suck they at least seem like they have the right kind of attitude.

There was a long stretch in which Self-coached teams were fast, athletic, and very good defensively. Like for a long time we were always in the top 10 defensively. Can we get back to that?
I don't know that the team is quitting. Auburn just looks better and they're making shots. Dedric is the only one that looks like he may have given up. Devon is trying, Grimes is trying, DMac and Mitch are trying. Garrett looks dead but he's at least giving it a go. Ochai looks afraid of his own shadow.
