I hope we see Mitch a lot in half 2. He's been playing very well lately and I like his haircut.

High. Young team.

Also, please play anyone else on the roster before you play Charlie again. Garrett, Mitch, Dave, KJ, Luinstra. Anyone else.

Before the game: Kansas has no pro prospects.

At Halftime: Dotson is a pro prospect.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 09:11 PM

People would have been arguing Kansas as a 3 seed if their name was Duke. They played the hardest schedule in the country, have 11 quad 1 wins, and are 8-3 against Top 25 teams.

I'll take +12 at halftime.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:59 PM

East is definitely the worst region and I have no idea why everyone is complaining about MSU being the 2 in Duke's bracket. I'd rather play them than I would Kentucky, Tennessee, or Michigan.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:57 PM

Really lazy defense the last few possessions. Lucky they only made one 3.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:53 PM

The NE coach was probably like, "Help off of KJ because he's slow and can't shoot and that Dotson guy is killing us." And KJ just got a free layup out of it lol.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:48 PM

Is Dave really a worse option than Charlie or KJ? At least Dave hustles and tries hard.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:36 PM

If DMac is loose with the ball I'd just leave Garrett in. Keep driving it, though, I agree.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:35 PM

Finish that, Dotson.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:29 PM

"Just his 13th 3-pointer of the year. You don't expect it from that guy."

Every. Damn. Time.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 08:20 PM

Cerrano's looking for some extra power tonight. He's wanting to sacrifice a live chicken.

But Michigan St is the best 2 according to ESPN. So unfair to Duke.

You replying to me? I think if KU advances the game against Auburn would be one of the worst losses in the Self era. Was hoping Auburn would finish their collapse.

Me too. Auburn will probably make 20 3-pointers against KU if we advance to play them.

Other Games Tonight • Mar 21, 2019 07:54 PM

Vermont has made 12 3's compared to FSU's 3 3's but are losing by 6 somehow.

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 07:51 PM

That game was a which team wanted to lose the game more. NMSU wanted it just a little bit more.

Vermont hanging in there against Florida St. Let's go Catamounts!

Directional Game Thread • Mar 21, 2019 07:25 PM

Can't say I'm a big Auburn fan. Never liked Pearl and their guards seem really cocky.

NCAA Selection Show • Mar 17, 2019 11:33 PM

I'd pick us to lose to Auburn right now. If we get the matchup with UNC in KC that would be great, though.

I don't really understand why Purdue is a 3-seed. I would take just about all of the 4-seeds over Purdue right now. I'm not that impressed with Big 10 conference titles because of a schedule imbalance.

NCAA Selection Show • Mar 17, 2019 10:34 PM

I thought TCU would get in and OU would have been left out, though. I thought TCU was going to get in after I saw OU.

NCAA Selection Show • Mar 17, 2019 10:32 PM

No TCU.

Well. We're probably not good enough to go too deep in the tournament this season but I think we are capable of screwing up the tournament for other teams. Like Duke or Kentucky.

Let's beat the Cyclops chat here. • Mar 17, 2019 12:05 AM

Well. After tonight we'll be ranked about 150th in 3-point percentage in D1. When our legs are rested we should probably work on that.

Joe DeRosa is calling the game tonight, so we knew we weren't going to get any sort of whistle. What's worse is we have Fran here trying to validate all of the bad calls against Kansas.

Their legs are fine. These are 20-year olds. Iowa St has played 3 straight games too by the way. What they lack is effort and shooting ability.

Why the hell are we skipping shoot-around?

Did you watch the first half. KU's legs are tired. That's why they're shooting so bad and why they didn't have a shoot around. ISU didn't shoot that well either. They only made 3 more FG's in the half. Both teams sucked at the line. The 3 pointers ISU made are the difference.

Right, because shoot-around is so hard on your legs when you're 20 years old. Give me a break. We need to be in the gym shooting as much as we possibly can.

Most of KU's misses have been short. That's always a major sign of tired legs. When KU is playing in the final game every night, KU has had the least rest of anyone in the B12 tournament.

Grimes was already cramping last night, they're definitely tired.

Their legs are going to be tired regardless of whether you have shoot-around or not. Shoot-around does not wear your legs out like at all. You stand and shoot. Might as well get the shooting practice in because clearly we need it. We haven't been a good shooting team even when our legs have been fresh.

Bracketology Time • Mar 16, 2019 07:24 PM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Purdue only had to play Michigan, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Iowa 1 time in conference play because of schedule imbalance. LSU got Alabama twice, Georgia twice, Florida twice, Arkansas twice, and Texas A&M twice. They only had to play Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina, Mississippi St, and Ole Miss one time. In fact, LSU only had to play one ranked team on the road in conference play and that was at Kentucky. Regular season titles mean less in conferences where you see huge schedule imbalances like the Big 10 and SEC.

Bracketology Time • Mar 16, 2019 04:39 PM

They should be a 3-seed right now. Florida St and Kansas should be on the 3-line and LSU and Purdue should be on the 4-line. Purdue is a 3-seed ahead of Kansas. Kansas (23-8) has a better record than Purdue (23-9). Kansas has more Quad 1 wins and a better SOS (11 and 1, respectively) than Purdue (7 and 14, respectively). It's an error to have Purdue ahead of Kansas right now. LSU played a weak non-conference. They lost to Florida St head-to-head. They lost to Oklahoma St by 13. They have a weaker SOS and fewer Quad 1 wins than Kansas. If Kansas wins today they are a lock for a 3-seed. I agree they probably won't jump anyone as a 2-seed, but you could argue by the numbers that they deserve it.

Bracketology Time • Mar 16, 2019 04:05 PM

I don't think we should be lower than a 3 seed right now. If we win today we're securely a 3 and arguably a 2.
