Pretty feed by Josh
@Crimsonorblue22 To pass someone??? Who?
Great hands by LL!!!!
@Lulufulu That still sickens me.
We've had more close out type games than OSU. Experience will be the difference. The guys don't want a court storming. Haven't had one yet this season.
@dylans Got to defend Forte and not let him get open. Once he starts.........
@HawkChamp I know Frank doesn't want to go ofer at Iba.
Wish we wouldn't have let them back in. Fast paced half tho. Did Frank get hit below the belt? He was bent over twice big time. Hope that he shakes off whatever it was.
@Crimsonorblue22 Let's hope he keeps it up so we are bragging on him after the game.
Alright, Alright, Alright. Let's go Hawks.
I know these pundits are posting stuff to get clicks, but Jerry Palm has the following:
@Blown Wonder if he wouldn't want to come back and run the team after having been behind Frank and seeing what that senior year did for Frank = POY and a real shot at getting on a team or leaving and taking a big chance on getting on some DLeague team (like so many others trying to do) making meager wages or having to go overseas. That's a lot for a 22 year old to have to weigh.
that was pretty LL
D'tae
No more time outs for OU. :smiley:
Called it.
Someone, anyone needs to get the ball to drop and get a stop and get the crowd back in it. They feed off the crowd and it just ain't happening so far.
They seem to be really amped and playing too fsst. Need to pass the ball around for the open guy.
Frank isn't going to let his team lose tonight. He will get them on track.
Sad!
@BShark And make the freebies.
Completely different than the runs they went on Sat. Maybe a little road hard.
BIFM ready to rock n roll.
Failor beat the Hillbillies :smiley:
LL shows them how to do it.
But they came out vs UT and put the ball in the basket.
@Eric-san but then having to pull him as it just isn't working. Ups and downs.
Different line up got them off.
@KUSTEVE Aunt Fran :frowning:
Let's go Jayhawks!
There always is a video of the senior night speeches on LJW and I have seen them on ESPN before.
@Crimsonorblue22 Damn Higgins.
Here are the ones from them signing for me. It's a little dark but think you all with recognize every one and know that it was a special feeling to be with the guys, even for such a short time. Everyone was very accommodating and had patience with everyone, when you know they were dog tired and dreading a long ride home to turn around and then play again tonight. I was in awe of Frank, D'tae, Josh and Landen. Such down to earth guys.
@mayjay Clever play on words. I didn't repeat my Dwight Coleby story but he also signed it so everyone but Udoka. I forgot that Mitch also signed and I told him to keep working hard and to listen to HUDY! :smile: I told Coach T that it was going to be a special post season and it meant a lot to get everyone to sign just the one. I'll try a little later to post the ones from my cameras.
But the Austin press AND FANS (only 7 comments and this was posted yesterday!!!) are already turning on Shaka. And they just posted that Tevin Mack is being let out of his scholarship so he is gone.
Here is Exhibit "A".

Golden: Texas’ lost season rests at Shaka Smart’s door
Posted February 26th, 2017
Shaka Smart believes it’s his job to breathe life into his team.
Of course it is, but the question has to be: Who is breathing life into Shaka?
“Nobody, really,” he said after Texas’ fifth straight loss, this one coming 77-67 to a soon-to-be-top-ranked Kansas team which clinched its 13th Big 12 regular season title. “It’s about the guys.”
Smart’s team has played with commendable effort the whole season but the familiar refrain has been one of hanging in there early, but not being good enough to close the deal at the end. Commendable effort is nice, but this is a bottom-line business and the results are unacceptable at 10-19 overall and 4-12 in Big 12 play.
“All of us are obviously disappointed in our how season has gone so far,” he said. “But playing hard is the first step. The next step is understanding what the right play is to make.”
Smart hasn’t been through a season like this, at least not as a head coach. Now he never experienced a winning season in four years as as the point guard at Kenyon College where he finished as the career leader in assists, but dishing out dimes in Gambier, Ohio had to feel like child’s play compared to the demands of winning ballgames at a major program at a salary of $3 million per year.
It’s been a historically awful season. Smart hasn’t come right out and said it, but this lost season rests at his door. The old cliche’ rings true: players win games and coaches lose games. This team realized long ago that this wasn’t going to end with the team gathered around a flat screen, munching on pizza while waiting to hear their name called on Selection Sunday.
For now the head coach has to keep his chin up and not give any indication that his confidence is shaken, even if it’s obvious that it is.
“He’s handling it good,” said guard Andrew Jones. “He keeps the spirits high in the locker room and makes sure we are motivated in every way possible. He hasn’t killed anybody’s spirits on this team.”
With two games and what is likely a brief stay in the conference tourney — Texas is 0-13 in games played away from the Erwin Center — Smart needs to find a way to avoid spending the offseason with a long losing streak in the final month of the season hanging over this team’s head. It may not seem like much, but improving to 11-19 and 5-12 with a win is much more important than it looks on the surface.
“It’s my job as a coach to get these guys to own this,” Smart said after quoting Alabama coach Nick Saban, who famously said “it takes what it takes,” to win games.
He’s right on both counts. He also understands that there is plenty of blame to go around for what we’ve witnessed this season.
Above all else, ultimate responsibility starts with the dude in his bathroom mirror.
Sorry these aren't bigger but regular size they are too big to post so made them into png files.
Great way to start pregame!

@Crimsonorblue22 Yes @Blown picked UT over KU. So he is saying he has been wrong both times before so he is going for 3 in row being wrong with the outcome a win for us.
@Blown I see what you are doing there :smiley: I hope the trend continues!!
Here's info on the shirt I mentioned I ordered:
I'm going to have to do some resizing of a lot of my pictures as they are too big. And my computer here at work won't let me install the ones I have on my camera and phone.
So I got everyone (except Udoka) to sign my 13 & Counting sign. I told Lagerald I loved his athleticism and he thanked me for saying so. I told Josh that I was so thankful for him coming to play with Kansas and that he exceeded everyone's expectations and as he was signing my "Just Joshin You" sign he said "It was my pleasure." He said the sign was great and then signed the 13 & Counting and a picture of him slam dunking. Bragg came out with headphones on and didn't seem to want to do anything, but he scribbled his name. D'tae laughed when he saw my picture of him and Self hugging each other and signed it and the 13 & Counting. While waiting for the players, Frank's dad was hanging out and saw me and game me a big hug. I had him sign a picture of Frank and Coach. When Frank signed my #13IFM = POY his dad came over and asked if Frank had signed everything so I put the 13 & Counting and he signed that and then signed a picture of him showing so much emotion in the gray unis and said what game was that? and I said Texas Tech. Jeremy Case signed and I asked him how much fun that was having BRush back. He was proud of being a part of that team for sure. Tucker Vang, Brennan Bechard, Tyler all signed and when Clay Young signed I told him that I had grown up in Leavenworth (adjacent to Lansing where he was from) so he and talked about growing up there (way different eras). Coach Q signed and I told him about knowing Coach's assistant and how she had sent me so much stuff after my cancer and then after the loss of my husband and he gave me a big hug and asked my name and said he would tell Tami that he had met me. When Coach T signed I told him I knew Tami and he said "She told me you were going to be here. How are you doing? You've had a rough go. Glad we could get the win for you today." I told him I read the article about his older brother, Raymond, who had played for UCLA during Wooden's last year of coaching and for the other teams that won the 13 titles, Coach T agreed that it was a great story and made his family proud. I missed Norm and Snacks while talking to Curtis. Finally Coach came out and gracious as ever. I told him I was the one Tami had sent the signed Christmas card to and he too asked me how I was doing. He signed 13 & Counting and the same picture of him with D'tae celebrating. Malik didn't make the trip.
I'll work on getting some more pictures and have lots of videos but I am not the best at technology so hope these at least show you guys some personal stuff.
First off, I thought they started with a purpose then let off and let UT come back but then they would make a run and on and on so it was more of a cat and mouse game. UT fans are just as bad as IU fans when it came to fouls/whistles. As their fans started to leave the KU crowd was very boisterous and the chant began throughout the arena.
The pregame crowd at Scholz Garten was all KU but for one room in the back inside which was where the UT fans were. I'll post pictures that are not too big in size.
When Dwight signed my 13 & Counting sign, I told him it was so good to see him on the floor and playing so well. I asked him how his knee felt and he said great for now. I told him to keep it up, that the team needed him. He smiled big time.
I got a big hug from #BIFM's dad and he asked me if I had voted for Frank and I told him yes every day and that the Bucketeers were promoting and reminding every one to vote. He is so proud of his son, as he should be.
Am watching the replay now and I will be out of pocket for a memorial service for my husband Mike today so may be tomorrow before I can post more about getting autographs and posting pictures. I promise to get to it tomorrow.
Rock Chalk Jayhawks!
