@HighEliteMajor I saw that Paschal was on the market BUT I think HCBS wants another American born BIG for the WUG. The way he has stopped recruiting Papagainnis and was talking about Williams leads me to believe he NEEDS another big for the WUG? With a name like Paschal Chukwu I cant imagine he is indeed an American? I could be wrong but with Diallo out for the WUG we need another BIG that can fill the 5 spot desperately if you know what I mean?
UT will have a dangerous back court in a couple years! They signed a pg, sg, and a sf all inside the top 50. Eric Davis, Kerwin Roach Jr., and Tevin Mack. Its going to be good for the Big 12 if you ask me! IF their new head coach can have some early success recruiting in the deepest pond in the US and on the court then he could give KU a run for its money?
He was probably going there any way. I think KU picking up Vick made his decision a lot easier.
@KUSTEVE You could be right BUT his biggest hurdle will be how quick he learns the play book. That is the one thing that will keep his butt on the sideline more than anything? If BG is healthy I don't see this particular freshman seeing court time with Svi and BG in the mix. With Mason and Graham there was only Tharpe/Frankamp standing in their way and I cant see HCBS flexing his muscles to force a RS or transfer on ANY guard currently on our roster to facilitate PT for Vick. Just not happening IMO.

This is what Vick's coach had to say. “There’s a good chance (of reclassifying). I’m meeting the coaching staff and going to sit down soon and look into everything,” Hurd said. “It’ll be public in about 10 days. We’re just getting the hard part out of the way now, and then that’s the next step we’re looking into." I guess we will know pretty soon?

@FarSideHawk Frank Devonte and Svi were all BIG question marks when KU recruited them but not any more. Frank. Svi, and Devonte effectively ran Conner out of town! All 3 were ranked under him or had less hype/exposure and all were late pickups by HCBS.
I cant remember where BUT I do remember reading that he has already qualified to graduate this year. Now if Williams III can come in and play in the WUG in place of Cheick then sit until we need him next year HCBS will have just pulled a rabbit out of his hat! Recruiting Magic

@HighEliteMajor I suppose so but look at KU's last 2 transfers White and Frankamp. BOTH would have PT this season had they stuck it out. UK has a top 5 recruiting class every year so the chances of being recruited over and being buried behind talent for multiple years is much greater at UK! You are correct about KU recruiting over kids but I think UK is 10 times worse.

@blackmild33 These kids that are signing late for UK after he missed on all of the top talent out there are suckers. They might play some this year because he needs some depth but next year they will be looking long and hard into transferring when the talent starts heading back.
@JayHawkFanToo IF Diallo can step in each and every game and impact it like he did the Nike hoop summit and McDonalds all American games then we could be scary good from day one! He will get tons of practice and couching this summer to prepare for the WUG against Ellis and Bragg. You just never know how fast these guys can learn HCBS system?
