You know what i just realized, I’ve never heard an american football commentator with a british accent (my ears deceived me for a sec). Id bet the prejudice would be strong against a Brit who just wants to commentate american football. Never heard any non american accent for that matter.

@rockchalkjayhawk his handling is exceptional when at top form, speed is good, aerials good, passing good. Only knock is that he can be sticky, but thats a product of youth. The hype is warranted because we need a healthy Reyna to make any real noise this WC
Gio did ok for Dortmund today. Didnt play the whole game but had a positive inpact. Berhalter was there.
Wish Weah could play the 9. I think hes one of our best 11 but not our best top left or right. Pulisic and Reyna. And Aarsonsen has been playing centrally for club. We will see there.

Im not impressed by our defense in general. I think besides the 9 problem, we might not point at one person on the D and say this guys a problem… but we should point at the whole group and say this is a problem. Dest is a solid offensive player but not a solid defender. Yedlin is too old, Scally is too young, Cannon is ok, and I dont think i know who Vines is. Zimmerman and Long are the prefered CBs i think, Richards and Long will compete… its been too long and i cant remember my impression of Carter Vickers. Im afraid good teams are going to eat this defense alive.

@rockchalkjayhawk afaict the earlier Tuchel just didnt like Conte running up to his bench when they scored seemingly in the run of play after Havertz got mauled on a no call. However it was like a minute later.
@rockchalkjayhawk yeah it was Tuchel! He grabbed Contes hand then made him look him in the eye even though he walked by without looking. Self important nut case. That being said Tottenham stole one, and those fouls shouls have been called.

Watched both games, actually almost all of the Premiere League games this weekend. It didnt disappoint! Jesus is going to be a monster for Arsenal this year. I think they could finish top 4 and bump Chelsea.

@nuleafjhawk They watched it yesterday. I didn't watch the whole thing, I had to put the youngest to bed. They enjoyed it and my middle son asked for another documentary today. Today it was Return to Space, about Space X. Also enjoyed.

Couldnt focus on Chelsea much this weekend. Watched them get waxed by Arsenal last week. Arsenal looked legit and finishing top 4 is going to be very hard for Chelsea i think given the defensive turnover. The new guy Koulibaly is a Senegalese vet, so Mendys happy. I agree im concerned about our defensive speed. We’ll see.

Watched American Factory last week and Honeyland tonight. Both were excellent. Giving my boys a dose of the big cruel world.
Im hopeful that overturning Roe v Wade will make this a state issue and allow for it to be less a part of federal politics.
