I think Dokes reputation is now one of his biggest assets. Refs know that is a potential player of the year not some inexperienced big guy. He has been getting the benefit of the doubt more this year all over the court on screens, blocks, and even post moves. Refs can’t help but have bias and at this point it’s finally working in his favor.
I’m heading to Seattle tomorrow...
@FarmerJayhawk I think this is the biggest thing is fans fail to really think about when we (including myself here) suggest resting players. We just don’t know enough about the injuries generally to know if it would actually help or not.
I was surprised when Doke reentered the game on Saturday but after talking to some athletic trainers and folks with more knowledge than me they almost all said with a rolled ankle it’s usually better to keep moving rather than rest and let it swell right away.
@jayballer73 the tournament is the NCAA s biggest money maker. They are going to play.
@nuleafjhawk I always go to the games here in Austin and have set with the UT family a few times. In the few times Texas has been really good and the game has been competitive the atmosphere in Erwin was good for like 2 minute bursts and it's so clear how little the crowd understands basketball.
That to me is what really sets KU apart. Fans know when to cheer the loudest, when to cheer because the team needs a lift vs. when to just be as loud as possible to disrupt the opposing team, and the constant engagement from the crowd is just unrelenting. I miss that place so much!
@nuleafjhawk I don't think any words can really describe that feeling but you and your friend got close! I really hope to bring some of my Texas family to a game at some point. They know that it's different but I don't think they actually KNOW. You know?

@Bwag still worried about doke.
Wins a win
Time out smart.
That. Is. A. Terrible. Call
@Marco think he was inside the arc
Um. Clock official?
@BeddieKU23 that one wasn’t so bad.
Another cheap one.
There’s the cheap foul
@Bwag for sure! I honestly think he’s better today than limping doke.
@Bwag one of those classic Kansas runs!
Man I wish Dave could develop softer hands...

Dot needed to pull that out and run offense
Made me lose my mind.
Or even drive and get a foul.
@BShark again from no angle.
@Woodrow It’s not not the problem. Both our best players are playing slow, hurt, and hesitant.
Unfortunately looks like this is a nightmare scenario where both doke and dot got hurt in the first half. Both still playing but definitely not 100%
That’s a terrible call. Red had no angle to see anything
Healthy doke blocks that
@BeddieKU23 eh. One or two were contested
He isn’t jumping or moving that well. He’s still real big though.
I think doke will be ok but he clearly doesn’t trust his ankle right now
@chriz technically no but functionally yes
@Bwag good point
We are an average to bad team without doke.
Weber outside the box. Give him a t
Marcus....
Doke afraid to jump
@approxinfinity he’s come back but had t been the same
@approxinfinity nothing big. Just doke getting injured.
@dylans doke and maywhine

@BeddieKU23 getting bumped on every drive.
Correction. Every catch
@BeddieKU23 getting bumped on every drive.
@Woodrow talking
Bill just did
@BeddieKU23 he’s trying
A rebound!
Dotson is really good at getting a bucket when we need it
@Woodrow tough to win like that
Gotta sit him.
Doke isn’t moving like doke.
@BShark they’ll get their misses
I think this is a bad idea.
