Looks a lot easier for Marquette to score than KU. Rough sledding, but still a little time to pull it out.
Looks like Bill has his teams emotions in check for now.
Yeah. Panic mode. Need to calm down and play our brand of ball. They rattled us early, got under our skin and won the mental game.
Elmarko and Timberlake need to go on an expedition and find their lost shot.
So mcCullar said something after making a 3 and Shaka says shut the fuck up while running on the court and he’s allowed to coach the rest of the game? Get off the floor coach, you’re not a player.
Missed it here - what was the spat about? It looked like Bill was the most disgusted I’ve ever seen him - directed at Shaka.

@dylans nope. Applies to any institution receiving federal funding. So also NAIA and all secondary schools that take federal money. So, all of them.
There’s no way to remain compliant while keeping 85 football scholarships and fielding all revenue sports.
Gotcha. Cancel all sports then. No big deal. If they’re losing money, there is no point. Money is all that matters about college sports now.
@FarmerJayhawk title 9 is just for the ncaa. But that is the same number of programs, the scholarship numbers are uneven though. Cut baseball.
@nuleafjhawk said in Anyone else feel this way?:
@dylans I don't miss any games by choice - unless it interferes with existing plans or it's stupid tip-off time - like 10:00 pm....:face_with_symbols_on_mouth:
But, here's where I'm at. If you stay 4 years here you are my hero. Three years will get you in the upper 30% of my favorites. One or two years - you mean nothing to me. I don't watch the NBA, but if I did you wouldn't mean any more to me than someone who went to NC State, USC or any other school anywhere.
Win a Natty and I suppose I’ll make an exception. However, I rarely think about Remy, so maybe not.
Interesting. Arizona is already having to cut several sports programs due to a budget in the red. How many more teams will have to go to pay the players?
Maybe just cut back to football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and softball; eliminate all other sports. But perhaps baseball and volleyball need to go as non-revenue producing sports.
@rockchalkjayhawk They should finish first in the AFC and host another AFC championship game at Arrowhead. The team is deeply flawed in the wr room though so it’ll be interesting leaning on the defense for a change.
@rockchalkjayhawk 10pm
@jayballer67 The right decision for them is to take the money. The right decision for this fan is to not give two squirts of piss about players until they hit year two in the system. I’ll pull for them, but won’t get invested.
NIL is dumb. I don’t care about any of the players unless they are wearing crimson and blue. It could be any decent human wearing that uniform and I’d cheer for them. I’d rather pay baby Jay than Hunter Dickinson no matter how good he is. Wins seem hollow this year vs years KU has home grown players.
lol. And the wretched Chiefs sit in pole position of the AFC with tie breakers over the Dolphins and Jags. Would be an excellent year for a team like the Packers that squandered all of Rodgers prime. Or the Chargers that are absolutely wasting Justin Herbert. The Charger situation makes me sad as that could make for some great games if they ever figure it out.
Last night was the first KU game I’ve missed by choice in over a decade. And I didn’t even care. Apathy - it’s like being a Kentucky fan. You win a lot, but who are the players, where’s the school pride?
I’ll embrace the freshmen, if they become sophomores. - it’s like work I have new interns every summer. I actually work with these people everyday and a few years later I hardly remember their names because it was just one year. Same as the new basketball turnover. I’ll remember Bill and love the Jayhawks, but the players (whom I used to enjoy the most) are just a cog in the machine now.
No one has to like it, but it is what it is.
It’s Kansas Football. Just enjoy that it doesn’t suck right now. It’ll get back to blowing once Lance leaves and then you’ll have no expectations to leave you disappointed. This is as good as it gets. KU is relevant.
If Kelce shuts his mouth and doesn’t fumble the Chiefs win. If Mahomes doesn’t throw a red zone interception, they win. If MVS could catch a ball, any ball, they win. Doesn’t seem like a coaching issue, but if it is the difference from the best offense in football last year and the product this year is Nagy and JuJu. In the offseason fire Nagy, cut MVS - pickup a decent veteran wide receiver to steady the group and draft a couple young guys. Problem is the 1st round pick likely needs used on a new tackle as they both suck. (Oh and Andy won’t fire Nagy, he kept Sutton around for years)
@wissox KU fans can be entitled jerks (wine and cheese crowd). KSU fans are insufferable homophobic morons. Mizery fans are just miserable in all aspects. OU fans are arrogant meatheads. ISU fan events are the biggest gathering for boring middle aged white folks in the country. Texas - steers and queers. A&M light ‘em up! OSU - drunken rednecks (they have a good time!). Colorado - do they have fans? Allen Fieldhouse west is back in operation, baby!
@nuleafjhawk Tis but a scratch.
If he stays healthy though…KU wins some big games.
@rockchalkjayhawk said in Tracking the Outgoing KU transfers:
So all this tracking the transfer talk brings the question:
Which former KU player turned out to be the best college transfer?
Grimes?
Jarod Haase or Rex Walters in my time watching KU. Take your pick.
@nuleafjhawk I’d be shocked if Jalon played a down in the NFL. If he even makes it to the league it’s as an undrafted player most likely. He doesn’t fit the mold and is too injury prone to waste a draft pick on.
This loss is like stepping in dog shit in your new shoes.
@wissox Not very couth.
@wissox There was a screen print store on Mass street briefly that had some off color Jayhawk t-shirts until they got shut down by the university. “I bleed crimson and blue, therefore I crap purple” is the only one I remember though.

Can you list even 3 Kentucky players you hate/hated?
Can you list 75 Duke players you hate/hated?
This is a good point. But the UK fan base has to make up for the difference. Right now, I'm leaning UK as more hated.
Last night's victory is actually sweetening with age.
Where do you run into Kentucky fans? I’ve maybe seen one die hard in the wild. Rare species in sw Kansas. The brotherhood is more present.

In May, I was hiking through Zion National Park and some guy in a Michigan sweatshirt said "you're going to love Dickinson"
Sounds like Confucius at a pedophile convention.
@Woodrow said in What to Expect at the Champions Classic?:
Wasn’t there some people on here bad mouthing Hunter before the year?
Did not notice, I was too worried about the resident rapist.
@tundrahok said in What to Expect at the Champions Classic?:
@Crimsonorblue22 Sorry, I thought you were asking if Kevin's was the first triple-double by a KU player. Blocks didn't become official stats until 1985, so Aldrich had the first certified triple-double by a KU player in 2009 (with apologies to Wilt and Born, at least). Withey's was in 2012. Have we had any since then? I don't remember any. Maybe Kevin is the first with assists? Pretty cool, regardless.
Not official but Born did it in a championship game for goodness sake. 1st triple double at KU.
Kansas center B.H. Born recorded an unofficial triple-double in KU’s heartbreaking 69-68 loss to Indiana in the 1953 championship game when he totaled 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 blocks.
Wilt had one against Colorado in ‘57 (probably several more idk) 40pts 13 reb 12 blocks.
Cole Aldrich posted the first official triple-double in Kansas Basketball history with 13 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocked shots against Dayton in the ncaa tournament
Kansas senior big man Withey went insane for the No. 10-ranked Jayhawks (nov ‘12), recording the second triple-double in school history with 16 points, 12 rebounds and a school-record 12 blocks in a 70-57 victory over San Jose State.
McCullar - 12pts 10 reb 10 assists. First triple double with assists I guess is the 1st people were talking about.
This all happened, just like the final four in 2018. Doesn’t matter if it’s official to a true KU fan.
@Crimsonorblue22 5th player with a triple double at KU. - Don’t forget Cole Aldrich in the tourney! I don’t think blocks were an official stat when Wilt played.
BH Born. And Maybe Collison.
ESPN knows less about KU than I do. JK Lol
Kevin’s first maybe
Christian Laettner + Grayson Allen makes it a nearly impossible task to find bigger d-bag players from the same university.

Night bucketeters!
See you Monday on my birthday!!
Dang! KU isn’t throwing a game for my bday on Friday. Bummed. 😝
Garbage. The ball should be live until it misses.
It’s like one of those clinking ball things on at therapist desk. Whack whack
Goal tending before the foul. Edit - nope

I like Bilas but I have zero clue what he's talking about.
You could see daylight between them. Bad take by Jay.
KJ 8-11 shooting for 16 points. No free throws. No threes. Many dunks. Gonna miss ya
@RockChalkinTexas said in What to Expect at the Champions Classic?:
@dylans why is it taking this long?
I’m concerned the answer is that he is an evaluation miss.
Nick is quiet again. Wish he’d get on track.
Drat
We going to get to our average of 99 tonight?
@jayballer67 Drive at them and send ‘em to the bench!
@Zabudda Lane plugged up with the bigs preventing drives? Not many unassisted fast breaks. High assist to basket made ratio can be good or bad I guess.
What’s KJ stand for Kansas Juicer!? He’s got them hyped with those dunks
~~And one!~~
Dickinson is slow to the post. They need to pass it around a bit to let him establish position.
@wissox Someone’s feeling got hurt?
@wissox Tempo is not the best for Dickinson.
