If elmarko is the 17th pick, he either gets exponentially better at shooting or the draft class is very weak. Don’t get me wrong he looks good, but good at the college level until he gets more seasoning.

Braun sucks. Zuby would get some of those minutes. He started for a stretch, no reason to think he wouldn’t play. But if Zuby thinks he’s a future pro he’s misled. His ceiling appears to be upper classman starter.

Fire Nagy, get a real OC. The loss of Bienemy and WR coach (Embery?)is apparently bigger than many thought it could be. Juju being replaced by Rice shouldn’t cause this big of a drop off.
Also Veach kinda sucks so far at identifying Offensive skill players. Maybe if he threw more resources at it the results would be better? Almost all his draft picks have been on the defensive side.

Not signing Hopkins when they had the opportunity is a miss, but he likely didn’t fit under the cap. He would have fit under the cap in a trade though with tenn eating his signing bonus. But you hate to give up much draft capital for a rental player.

@FarmerJayhawk The last time KU beat OU was my freshman year at KU. My parents and grandparents came down to watch KU play OU - I think it may have been an orientation deal. Only game they ever went to. Hell of a treat in the bleak Terry Allen days.

Not a big fan of the huge (and watered down) big12. We aren’t going back to the big8 days so I guess embrace it until it gets blown up again in the next revolution when every team ends up in a single mega conference, then they split into 8-12 team divisions - and when that goes down the division KU ends up including all our old rivals. lol big 100 year circle jerk just to end up back where you started.
Cullen has been a major signing. His work with the line has been fantastic!
OU has a way of reminding KU that there is a difference between an upstart and the establishment. Like KU basketball, but in reverse.

OK Chiefs fans, what is your solution to the overlap with the Illinois game? For me, watching a recorded/delayed game just isn't the same. So, I'll have two screens on and see how that works out. That crazy football statistic helps here: during a 3 hour game the active plays only total about 8 min. Oh yeah, and KC is playing Denver so the game could be decided early, but I'll still watch every play.
If KU had more returning players it would be a dilemma, but there are as many new faces as a Kentucky team. - I’ll watch the chiefs game in its entirety and might watch a replay of the KU scrimmage. With the way this offseason went my main sports allegiance is leaning towards the Chiefs over KU and that’s never been the case for me. - Amazing how one disastrous offseason can taint decades of enjoyment.
Edit - don’t get me wrong. I still only root for two sports teams, just my excitement levels have shifted a bit.
Backups don’t win championships, they hold the fort down while the guy gets healthy. This team will only go as far as the QB takes them. Luckily Bean is a capable backup and the big12 kinda sucks at football now.
