There is just no way around it just plain and simple. Frank is just 1 st class individual all the way around thru and thru.

Well my friends I guess it really is the Christmas season - -holidays. I will be the 1st to admit, I've tried and tried really hard to stay pretty loyal to Coach Beaty. I also have to admit that it has been pretty hard and myself like thousands of others have been very disappointed very disappointed. I want Coach to succeed - I really do, yet I've found myself cussing him multiple times through out the season Yet having said that, with all the Coach Beaty bashing and such which I'm not saying at least some was warranted I have to say this:

Ya I know I'm just babbling at this point trying express my thoughts what I'm trying to get at. so with all our problems let me say this

It's pretty refreshing to see that even with these problems that there are a couple of High School kids that still honored their verbals from like 10 months ago and they are a couple of studs - Big boy targets:

The latest today was Pooka Williams the running back from Louisiana man he his crazy good. True he is a 3 star from there but with all the talent that State produces he can still be really good and put in that category . - His Senior stats: for the season rushed for 3, 118 yards and 37 touchdowns - - -in the playoffs alone in the 5 games he played he rushed for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns - -MERCY.

Then Coriene Harris - the 4 star corner back the highest rated recruit we have landed I think they said since like 1999 stuck with his commitment also out of Louisiana.

These kids know what they are walking into, yet still honored their verbal. - -Williams ended up choosing KU out of his final 3 schools the other two being Nebraska & LSU - -& Harris picking KU over LSU.

Yes I know that Coach Hull was the main recruiter with these kid and deserves much of the credit - yet it was Coach Beaty that hired Coach Hull realizing his talents as a possible recruiter - -yes - yes - yes indeed IT IS CHRISTMAS. - I know these guys very well aren't going to get things done by themselves, but with Mike Lee now these two and Coach Hull going to put this area on alert that we WIIL and are there to stay recruiting and pulling recruits , not all is ruined it is the season - stay the faith my friends. - -Finally a little good news on a sad situation. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I believe your right. - Because as we have said/heard Mitch is playing out of position, for sure not a true 5. - Mitch if/when he plays need to be out on the floor more like at the 4? - -More of natural position for him. Also I also think actually Billy would or could play more at the 4 then the 5, he is closer to a 5 then Mitch but still. Probably the other real 5 would be DeSousa right?

Just have to see how it all plays out, but IF Billy doesn't end up getting cleared then I still believe we need to move Mitch out to a 4 and let DeSousa back Doke at the 5, and then and only then if both of them get in foul trouble - -I suppose for a couple of minutes when they sit we could still use the walk on to give them that blow.

Mitch more then anything just does not have the body frame - the bulk to man up against talented big's -Although he does bring a presence of being able to defend the rim some as he leads us in blocks and in the top 5 they said in the league in blocks. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

You are overthinking it. Grimes grew up a KU fan. Dotson wanted desperately to play for a blue blood program. Dotson was targeted and prioritized in his JR year by KU while UNC and Duke closed their heavy PG leans.

I would agree with this. I don't think Preston or Silvio save this team. Just letting the starters get a bit more rest and not having to play Mitch at the 5 could help a fair bit in the long run.

if nothing else with Silvio Coach Self can use Him like he did our football walk on the other night. Coach ask him -can you do this? - He responded I don't know any of it.

Self said then just set a high screen and then roll to the basket. Wofford was in control of this game pretty much the entire 2nd half, NC got pretty close towards the end but NOPE couldn't do it.

You tell me which is a more embarrasing loss, - -KU losing to Arizona State at Allen , or North Carolina losing to Wofford in Chapel Hill? - - not even close. Wofford picked to finish SIXTH in the Southern conference. On a serious note, this game right here is a perfect example of what a couple of us have been talking about this week. - KU better be ready tonight, better be focused for sure Stanford is what 6-6? Still Jerrod is gonna have these guys Jacked for this game. Another perfect example where this is like an NCAA game to alot of these schools. Teams have trouble focusing on these types of games right before Christmas. KU has had alot of trouble with games like this right before Christmas. Pretty close to the same supporting cast as what Buddy had - -actually think Buddy had a little better cast. - -TRAE Young is not going to beat you by himself - the objective with him just like other talented players - -sure they may get their points that's great knock yourself out. just don't let others have career nights.

Trae will not beat us by himself he may try. I'm not overly concerned We have run across many super stars just as good as Trae

To name a few: Blake Griffin , Buddy Hield , Kevin Durant, Steph Curry - Great players - didn't beat us, let Trae do his thing , I guess I have to say it again, I've seen Trae already make some bone headed plays, it's just that the competition hasn't been the greatest - -In Big 12 play against other talented teams - it's gonna cost him and OU, he will launch one of those half court shots, - try to get to fancy with a pass at a critical time. I'm not saying he isn't good, all I'm saying is let's play it out se how OU as a team fares in Big 12 play.

I'll always take really good TEAM talent over ONE. - Doesn't matter how good you are those aren't very good odds one on five.

Well looks like Dakich has sealed his own fate when it comes to Ku and the fan base.

This guy has just totally alienated his self. - You really need to check it out.- -The host off ESPN-KC was talking about Dakich and him talking about tweets that he gets and listed some examples then the host offered Dakich to come on the show not really expecting a response -but he did call in and then it was on.

He said during his time on the show that And everybody knows, like everybody in the world knows, that, with all due respect very few fan bases whine more then Kansas.

Dakich talked about a conversation he had had with Mike Krzyzewski that fans tend to hear only what they want.

Then he says I must of said 8,000 glowing things about Kansas because I really like KU basketball, like I really like Bill Self

Then he turns around and says again that mid majors know when you play at a Kansas they know they are going to get screwed, referring that the refs get paid a lot more for doing a KU game then an Omaha game so you know the refs are going to keep Bill Self happy. -

Then he says about KU fans - -you guys are so like uptight and insecure and nuts.

Ya I read that. I think it shows some real character in the kid. He made his verbal and he stuck with his commitment, he knows what he is walking into. - -Shows his commitment to coach Stull.

The article also talk about even though it's just one of the Louisiana kids that verbally committed it DOES put schools on notice that KU is goin to recruit that area. - -I sincerely hope they can make a go of things - -so much negativity

Also read that one of the High School kids that we had recruited and he was out of Texas his name was Jacobe Lott a 6'4 309 pound offensive lineman that Texaas had made a late push for him, and the article said that the plan was that Lott was suppose to sign with Ku today but with Teas in the picture they didn't know what he would do - - - Well he signed with KU today so that's also good.

The best thing about no post depth is Lightfoot and Dok are getting all the minutes they can handle. That should speed their development up.

No doubt Trae is very very talented, but again like the commentators mentioned the other night before w go an anoint him so fast we shall see how he handles the rigors against a league of very talented guards in the Big 12. - Again he is going to win some for ya - - he will lose some, most of lose going to be on the road, the road in the big 12 this season more then ever is going t be really nasty for opposing teams.
