Ran out of gas. Playing a very fast pace with the starters a full 40 minutes on Thursday to playing a very fast pace the first half today at elevation with essentially 6 players and the second half, they were missing stuff short and moving slower so they just ran out of gas. You could also see it coming in the 1st half too towards the end with Gonzaga getting a bunch of easy looks at the rim.
Even aside for the skill perspective, having playable depth next season has to be the top priority in recruiting.

Boy ol Fitz that does the K/State pod cast was pretty hot today.- -Talking about how K/State AD just doesn't know when to shut up and when not to.
Then Fitz says he can't say if there will be a Coaching change at K/State or not, he said it's not good because they know the Basketball program doesn't have the support of the AD
Like I said yesterday I think they got issues within their Athletic Dept. Think your gonna se more defections and wouldn't be shocked if Tang was gone.

We very true with gallivanting around saying Talent over experience the last few years. I think his use of timeouts and lack of defensive adjustments was nothing short of laughable. Bill Self ia a coach John Calipari is a recruiter not a coach. He literally has never took a lesser talented team anywhere.
That's one thing they are really complaining about-- their defense has no clue. I think Cals philosophy is roll the ball out and out score them.

The bigger issue with firing Calipari is who replaces him. Cal isn't someone you fire on a whim, you only fire him when you already know who is replacing him.

If UK's donor pony up the money, he can be fired tomorrow. His buyout price is 75% of the total value of his deal which would come out to about $33 million. It's not an obscene number like what Texas A&M paid Jimbo Fisher this past offseason to go away so it's something that's doable if UK really want to part ways with Cal.
Ya very doable , everything I read off Rupp didn't see one positive comment on him .- - Many , Many saying they are done , and want him out- - Talking about Scott Drew. Kind of surprised many think he might move on to Michigan to replace Howard, all I know is they are cooking him on the site, . @jayballer67 I highly doubt it happens but that has to be frustrating for their fans. The way he recruits just doesn’t work anymore. I like having at least a few players stick around and develop. Hockey line changes every year does nothing against teams that have experience.
We have been fortunate in a way ,Coach has always been able to get good Freshmen once in awhile like this incoming year Flory is like ranked the 10th best according to 247 - -then he has pretty good luck at getting kids around upper 30'- 40 # ranked players - -pretty good players and develop stick like 3 years and even the whole 4. -Now having success with portal to -- -Cal still wants to just get the best recruiting class and then they under achieve - -Their fan base is HOT - - and want him gone

Well you know now that KU has become the Villans in the tourney . -- - Everybody , every game we might play from here on out, every foul , every questionable out of bounds play WE are now the Villian.
Yes we got lucky at the end , very lucky . That foul that was called on Nicks break away dunk late - - - WAS NOT a foul in no way shape or form , you could for sure see it in the multitude of re-play. There was not a hair that touch Nick on the dunk attempt , the guys lower body for sure didn't and his hand clearly got nothing but ball , sorry to say but man the ref blew that call 100 % , if that was not called Samford would have a 5 on 4 coming the other way and very easily could of been a different result.
Yet they did make the call so that's great , we won that's what matters. There were other calls made that went against us or them bottom line - -we advance so cool. - Just remember all were going to here now for sure is KU gets all the calls - -all the breaks. --gonna hear that from all other fan bases , and tomorrow pregame that's all your gonna hear from broadcasters
