Well I will agree for sure with you on this - - -I love College sports a whole lot more then professional sports period. - I will take College over pro any day. Ok here it is something I've noticed the last couple of day/week and that is what the hell is happening here ? Seems this past few days /week there has been a lot of Mal content between posters - some pretty heated discussions. Especially since the Jeff Long Hiring - and a few other topics - - - -so whz up? -I mean I know other people have noticed it also as they have asked to calm down before threads get locked - yet doesn't seem to help as one feels like they have to have THAT LAST WORD - -that last little jab. - Don't say it's all in fun - big difference in plain fun and then just getting ugly and coming close to making it personal using the F bomb on people and such

I know I'm not innocent , I fully accept I've had arguments with people in here on certain things , but bottom line is after a bit I usually say ok lets just agree that we disagree - but from what I've been seeing I mean holy shit seems a little far out there - -I mean come on were suppose to be able to express opinions whether right wrong or otherwise right? - Yet a couple of these threads have gotten pretty intense throwing jabs back and forth

Just another quick little follow up from predictions that I saw. -- - I also just saw where we picked up another CB about 20 minutes ago for Hurt from Dylan Prezkop. - -Now puts us up to 75% to the next at 17 % - -if the CB means anything - -anything at all then we sittin in a fairly decent spot for Hurt would love to get him. - --ROCK CHALKALL DAY LONG BABY

Well doing my troll thing. - Read off Kentucky board - -that rivals had came out with their early predictions where the top 15 ranked players would land for the up coming recruiting season - -the rivals people involved making predictions: - - - Eric Bossi - - - Corey Evans - - Dan McDonald & Krysten Peek.

Showed us as contenders on some but the two I think we all have talked quite a bit about: - - Matthew Hurt# 5 - - -& Robinson Earle # 9

Here is how they predicted: - - -Mathew Hurt : Bossi - - -Evans - - & McDonald - - -all say he is committing to KU - - Peek says N Carolina.

Then as far as Robinson Earl: Bossi- - - Evans - -& Peek all say he is committing to KU - -McDonald says N Carolina.

So now once again I'm confused my friends - imagine that lol. Here we have a poster that says this is TERRIBLE hire , how he hired two terrible hires for Coach's and off field issues , so he is terrible? - -Yet I in turn, turned right around and read this elsewhere:

Joe Parker ( Athletic Director Colorado State) hmmm imagine that : Jeff is extremely talented leader , recognized as one of the Nations best ( hmmm )

Greg Sankey ( SEC Commissioner ) - -wasn't this where Jeff came from ? ) Jeff will bring integrity , energy . and relentless work ethic - - -( Whaa? are we talking about the same Jeff -the one a poster said is a terrible hire ? )

Jeff Hughes (Consultant Korn Ferry ) Jeff has more then 16 years experience leading Power 5 programs - -Alum & fan base will see this as a strong step forward toward achieving excellence.

Steve Hatchell ( Executive Director , National football foundation ) Said Jeff epitomizes EVERY quality that is crucial to athletics today. - he has vison - - -is misson oriented -- -goal planning, & TERRIFIC work ethic -- hmmmm , not what I heard lol. - vast experience at money levels - - knows the Big 12 well. Jeff is EXACTLY what KU needs today, he is not only exceptional athletic director but a good person ( I'm so confused )

Kirby Hocutt ( Texas Tech Athletic Director ) Jeff has always exemplified that he has very high standards of character and integrity ( dam , this is just the opposite of what some say here ) EXCELLENT decision by the University of Kansas.

Bob Golsby ( Big 12 Commissioner ) Jeff is a Veteran who has achieved at the Highest of levels

Bell Hancock ( Executive Director of College Football playoff ) KU couldn't of hired a better person ( dam all these people saying such positive things - just doesn't make sense. ) Solid Judgement ? - - -and a world of experience. Get ready because I know your gonna love him.

Condoleezza Rice - - -Jeff is a skilled administrator and a worl of experience. The University of Kansas made a great choice

Lloyd Carr ( former head Coach of Michigan ) Jeff is very tough - - -very fair - - and a person of integrity. ( DASM there is that word again Integrity - - not very good integrity to some people around here ) - - just don't get it

Joe Castiglione ( Vice President & Director of Athletics Oklahoma ) Hmmm listen to this:--- Says Jeff is one of the MOST RESPECTED athletic directors throughout the National landscape -- how can this be with his questionable integrity? - -He says fantastic Hire by KU - Joe says he knows that the Big 12 will benefit from Jeff's input.

Well there you have it boys and girls - Now you can see how I'm confused cause w have people here some saying terrible hire BUT yet others people that's in the profession - people that know him - -have worked with him or been around him - nothing but props -I just don't get it. Then have other posers off other sites saying how a lot of Arkansas fan base really PO'D he got fired and say that KU got a terrific hire - - I give up - -but I think I'll take my chances with this guy. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Long hired Bobby Petrino at Arkansas and finished 3rd in the country back in 2011. The guy knows some football.

@FarmerJayhawk GOD he wins 11 games two years in a row at Arkansas - jumpin gee hossa fats were not even close to 11 wins total in how many years? - If he can get us on track to save our really sad football program -- I'm all in - - - Plus if he can generate renewed interest in the Alum the boosters to get this project complete/funded - -HELL YA because flat out telling ya facilities are a huge part of recruiting. We get this done and were right there at least closed the gap in facilities - you can do a lot with the purposed renovation/ being funded - -all part of turning this thing around. - If he can make that connection/ spark interest- -HELL YA

I personally am A D stupid on this as far as his qualifications go - -don't really know anything - just don't follow that closely. - However I DO AGREE with you on - is yes please- - please save our football program. I really don't place much importance to it at this time. Lots of schools recruited Grimes and Dotson harder than KU and they ended up here anyway, KU recruited Langford very hard and he ended up at Indiana, Maryland went all in on De Sousa and even Under Armour kicked in money and he ended up at KU. As long as players feel they are recruited decently they will go where they want to go anyway. Elite programs like UK, Duke, KU and others do not need to recruit nearly as hard as the smaller programs and get the players anyway. Here is the link to the article itself. ↗

Yes you bring up some really good points , and very valid thank you Plus did he say that KU was a lifetime offer? - -Could be wrong, more likely then not probably am just can't remember for sure but I thought I had read that somewhere. - However We still need to be careful as a School to not become to complacent with our approach on recruiting - -I'm just probably over reacting - -but I feel that it's a bad idea if that get the notion that they don't have to work as hard at recruiting a player. If they start feeding their ego and thumping their chest thinking such a way as OH Were KU we don't have to give that 100%. - -Like Bshark mentioned somewhere else - that is gonna jump up and bite them or someone said it's gonna jump up and bite them in the ass. - You have to do your due diligence with each and every one

@JayHawkFanToo Oh for sure agree with you about Frank out playing fox at this point. Did Fox being hurt play into this? yes it did to a certain extent anyways , I still believe Frank would of out played him even if he wouldn't of got hurt.

People may question how I could think that -that's a Valid question. My only train of thought is , that I believe SOME and SOME people never had believed Frank could do what he did - -but yet he walks away with every honor a player could have in his Senior yr of College-well let me clarify other then a National Championship - doesn't mean he isn't a really solid player - -as we know there are hundreds of very good players that walk away without a National Championship.

Is Frank an over achiever? Possibly , BUT I have or lean more towards I think Frank has put himself where he is because of his work ethic , His determination to make believers out of non-believers -- Frank has had to prove himself from day one. - -I mean look at where this guy originally was going to play College ball. - -Talk about someone falling into our lap , and he more then exceeded expectations for everybody. I mean seriously , how many of us would of ever thought this guy would end up winning the Naismith award - the National player of the year voted by Coach's and sports writers? - - -I Frank has this I'll show you - I'll prove to you I belong - -quite possibly that so called chip on his shoulder , and I believe he has proved he belongs in the NBA for GOD'S sake - I know he proved me wrong if you would of told me he would be on an NBA roster - - 4 -5 yrs ago I would ofsaid no way - -I'm glad me proved me wrong.

Frank is a guy that just shows if you put in the work - -you'll reap the rewards , now I'm not sayin he is an NBA stud by any means -BUT I think he has more then held his own , at least so far and I believe he is right there with Fox for sure, thusly this is why I say I feel even if Fox didn't get hurt I think Frank would of worked even harder and got those minutes - -he just has that bulldog approach. - Love me some Frank Mason - -just clutch.
