I personally ain’t worried at this point about the defense that was garbage for most of the season. Get a receiver and keep working on the line. Draft some guys on the defensive side and see what happens.

@BShark right it’s almost like football and not getting a new years 6 bowl. Why risk injury for a NIT banner that places like silo tech hang.

Ju ju isn’t worth that much imo. Bold strategy if I’m KC, trade a couple picks for Mike Evans. Bucs are in salary cap hell and he only has 1 year left on his deal.

@jayballer67 I would say high percentage chance he coaches Saturday. How much more higher stress is it to be there coaching or in the hotel yelling at the TV?

@Jethro I’m not a doctor by any stretch of imagination but I do know a few people that have had stents put in. Every situation is a little bit different I’m sure. Hopefully he can coach Saturday.

@BShark it Will interesting from the stand point most doctors probably wouldn’t want you to get in a high stress situation for a month in his shape

I got 15 as well but it has lent been updated in years Jwil just pasted Wilt for 28th and Ochai is currently 19th but not on the list.

@mayjay haha poor guy, that was just a small part but to me and the folks I watched the game with they didn’t seem happy at all. Maybe it was just us but North Carolina amnesty association is what most call it in basketball lol

@DCHawker the NCAA hates anyone west of the Mississippi River. You could tell they weren’t happy when we won last season. Called us the Kansas City Jayhawks.

First games of the weekend never worry me with this staff, it’s the second game that usually gets us. BS win percentage is great in every round but the round of 32 and the elite game is the only one sub .500

I honestly get madder the longer I think about it. Both KU and Houston got beat by Double digits in the championship game of their conference. 17 Quad one wins to 7. KU also lost to a top 10 w/o their head coach.

Apparently we need to dial back our SOS, Houston has one at 96 we are 1 but it didn’t help

@dylans Max and Bob were simply the best. I know I’m biased but never loved listening to a radio call like with them. In the old days the TV wasn’t delayed 5 or 10 seconds and you could watch while the radio played. Hanni is a great dude and a jayhawk but his voice just doesn’t do it for me.

@Jethro Ya I’m not superstitious person in the slightest. Poor @wissox picked a tough game. That’s is a thing as I said on another thread I thought this Texas club was not only the best in the conference but a championship caliber team going into this season before Beard had his stupidity shine thru. We will have more important things to worry about at 5 friends.

I think Bill has always been big on his 7-8 man rotations. Last season Remy and Mitch came off the bench even Coleman-Lands at times to give a spark. I think both Joe and Udeh have shown in some moments they can be useful. Just have to hope the best is yet to come.

I agree with sitting him for the first game but knowing Kevin like I think we do there is 0% he doesn’t play.

We had better hope Kevin is ready for next week

@StLJhawk that’s the issue our starting 5 is the key so they can’t be in foul trouble or hurt otherwise it spells doom.

@jayballer67 for sure I’m a realist, if Self has Baylor’s or Texas's Roster he’s winning the NC this season. Which in away is sad to say. I’m just ready for the investigation to be over with so we can start recruiting again. The way I look at since I’ve been watching KU since the mid 90s KU has had the best overall player and team in every match up all year outside of few final four games and Durant at Texas about 90% of the time. Since 2018 that had just not been the case. I personally think if we had anyone coaching in 2019 or 2021 we don’t even make the tournament.

@jayballer67 Dook looks to be peaking at the right time with 8 going on 9 straight wins. Which sucks, I’m worried we already peaked we have lost 2 or 4 right now.

KU imo isn’t as talented as Texas or Baylor arguably KSU in terms of Jimmy and Joes. But we have the best coach hands down.

@bskeet Right that was my thinking Texas played the late game last night and also was down a starter so it’s hard for me give into those excuses. Having BS gone definitely hurt, Norm has done great for sure but there’s a reason he got fired from 2 head coaching jobs. I think some of it is Texas is just a match up nightmare for us. Kinda like how Kentucky spanked Tennessee twice. I think with will struggle with tall athletic teams like Tennessee and Texas.

That maybe the worst played game by a PG in decades here the truth be told. He got a few garbage time layups where Texas tried not to foul. 4 assists, 4 turnovers, 1 rebound and 0 steals. Hopefully that gets it outta his system. He has played great the last month.

@BShark I a 100% an agree with him, I felt the same way last aswell. I got a bad feeling with the favorable road we got last season we are in for a very tough one this season.

Texas is down a starter too guys. Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one. This effort will not work going forward regardless of whomever shows up.

We just have to hope this is a wake up call for this team. We aren’t good enough to just go thru the motions
