KSU get spanked, really wanted to beat them again

@dylans do you not see that you are contradicting yourself. You could literally twist 90% of what people say on here as being racist by doing that. How many people have called out and cursed opposing fans, players and coaches. Those are still groups of people. I don’t think it’s racist to call people arrogant. Is it racist when people call Lawrence sob hill? By those standards anything negative said about a group. Even saying you don’t like country music singers could be twisted into racism using your formula. I don’t hate anyone don’t think anyone is no good based on personal experience they have always had their noses in the air to me. Doesn’t make them evil or wrong just means I don’t agree with them. I hope you continue to have good experiences personally that’s great. Let’s just move on buddy

@dylans not in todays world IMO. Im just not a fan of the way they treat their women, children and people not of their kind. I get along fine with several of them they just ain’t my cup tea. Judging people for having a radio smh but I suppose thats my fault. If that makes me a bad person to you I’m perfectly fine with that, I bet there are some people that you don’t get along with and by your words that’s on you. Apparently we are responsible for others actions in this age.

@dylans they are extremely racist themselves by that definition. I’m not saying I hate them and wish them harm. They typically just aren’t nice people to deal with on many fronts, I grew up dozens of them and lived out here about 28 of 35 years.

@dylans I live in a town of 600 people probably half are Mennonites. I personally don’t care for them, they are very arrogant to say the least some are holderman some not.

I thought the guys really played loose and seemed to be having fun with little pressure. Nice to Jwil and Gradey find some rhythm once again. Joe and Udeh had some good moments. Juan did Juan things, KJ was solid in the second half and Kev just did as much as he had too.

I try not to cuss in a normal conversation but in regards to people that sexually assault young children I think it’s fine. True story I was a NAIA college football playoff game about 10 years back one guy around the track watching was cussing up a storm. Come to find out he was dean of the universities playing. Not sure I would logically judge someone’s intellect off of if they curse. Some of the most simple minded folks I’ve known don’t curse but seen several intelligent people do so. @dylans my neighbor is a Mennonite and curses often. But not in public.

@Crimsonorblue22 Drew reeks of douchiness and small dog syndrome. But he deserves credit for what he has done in Waco. People forget that program was nearly cancelled before he was hired due to teammates killing each over drugs. That place was really as low as you could go before him.

I don’t remember us getting this many accolades in the past nice for the guys to be rewarded.

@rockchalkjayhawk I’ve wondering about Bobby all year. Self is super high on him for some reason I’ve haven’t seen a plus/minus in a game that he wasn’t at least -11. He can’t move laterally on defense and has some head scratching turnovers every game. I’m not saying Joe is great but he at least can give you scoring and is much more athletic.

@wissox I was glad he didn’t get it, the only reason it was close was he had an extra year with Covid. Pete was just amazing especially when you figure no 3 point shot.

@approxinfinity several lower conference tournaments going on. I enjoy watching them, not always good ball but sometimes there are great games with so much on the line.

@Jethro you don’t wanna get me going on them jokers being a football power house. Literally since the Archduke of Austria was assassinated in 1914 to start world war 1 they have 4. Yes 4 conference championships, in damn near a 110 years. Wichita State hasn’t played a down of football in my lifetime and can say the same thing.

Not to take anything away from Tang but he only retained 2 players from last years roster, he didn’t take a 14-17 team and coach them up. He used the portal to build his roster. TJ did the same thing last season in Ames and hasn’t really retained that magic this season. Now that shouldn’t impact this years COY but let’s pump the brakes before y’all build a statute of him. Not sure I’ve seen a team lose as you said 70% of its scoring, 3 starters and the first 2 guys off the bench and end up back as a number 1 seed after winning it all. Winning the toughest conference in the land by a few games, not sure I’ve seen it before or will see it again is my point.

Above is my response to KSU fans all the sudden thinking Tang is better than Self. ESPN radio talked about how he was hands down the greatest regular season coach of all time which I agree with. I personally don’t think in a single elimination tournament you go off of it entirely. The tournament is a lot about viewership on the men’s side. If they changed it like the women’s tournament and had teams host the first 2 rounds you wouldn’t see the upset we do. I’ve always said do that and then have the sweet 16 be double elimination at a neutral site. Then you know who the best team is most years. Downside to that is we probably don’t win it last season but probably have more titles with the 07,08,11,13,16 and 20(if they played it) teams playing.

@jayballer67 I honestly wish we’d schedule them bet we’d win 8/10 times or more.

@approxinfinity I really liked the Pay heed ones the rest have been average to bad. Disliked the grays and the sunflower ones.

I honestly dont think the conference is losing much in basketball and football. Texas is good in volleyball and several second or third tier sports. But when is the last time Texas was relevant in FB or BB almost 20 years ago by my estimation. Oklahoma has always been good for spots in basketball but never consistently good they haven’t been good in football the past two years, they had some good years with Riley but 2000 was the last NC for them. Losing the massive following is more of hurt than the actual teams to me.
