All the yap about Toppins and he was he 4th or 5th best player on the court in that one.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 28, 2019 12:31 AM

I was very surprised in a way, showed more toughness than in New York. Heck of a game and we got a ton of stuff to work on defensively.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 28, 2019 12:29 AM

When Doke is hitting the free ones, you know we are in good shape.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 28, 2019 12:04 AM

Wow

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:57 PM

Lmao!! On the flop

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:45 PM

@BeddieKU23 I’m impressed let’s see what we can here

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:42 PM

Game folks

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:40 PM

If I’m them I’d foul Doke everytime he touches from here on out

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:39 PM

@BeddieKU23 Exactly

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:39 PM

That maybe the game, can’t stop anyone

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:31 PM

How long does Garrett set? I’d say as long as it not more than -4

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:29 PM

Doke has to hit those hooks from 3 feet.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:24 PM

Once again failing at simple defensive assignments. Let’s see if we fold here, Braun just isn’t ready to major D1 ball yet. He’s a liability on both ends.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:07 PM

@BeddieKU23 I’d tell him forget the offensive glass and get back, can’t have those fouls right now.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 11:04 PM

@stoptheflop yep, thought we was playing the mildcats lol

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 10:53 PM

This could be one of the worst officiated half’s I’ve seen in a while, at least half of our fouls are laughable and about a dozen missed on them. Dave sucked very badly this half after a solid outing last night.

Dayton Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 10:42 PM

Wow refs keeping Dayton around

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:38 AM

Salty little game for big Dave, him and Doke combined for 12 for 15 the from floor. Dotson finally had decent assists to TO ratio with 8 and 2 but continues struggle hitting shots. Think he missed about 5 layups, most which where contested but I’d still like to see him not only hit more of those but a few jumpers as well. He didn’t make a single shot outside of 4 feet according to the shot chart and that’s disappointing. Shocking Moss was just 1 for 5 from distance but looked rushed to me.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:34 AM

@jayballer73 we either have to shut him down or make sure no one else beats us.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:13 AM

If we could hit some opens 3 it’d be nice lol

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:06 AM

@KirkIsMyHinrich these soft rims lol, both clubs missed several.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:05 AM

Easy to do that when your in the lane 6 seconds

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:02 AM

@jayballer73 I’d try Garrett on him

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:02 AM

Dayton kinda looks like our kryptonite to honest. Odd to think of winning this without beating a power 5 team once. Wonder if it’s been done before?

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 05:00 AM

Doke would average 2 or 3 more PPG if he shot -a modest 65% from the line.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:52 AM

I really hope he (Dot) isn’t in some sort of sophomore slump. His decision making rivals Carter Stanley’s on the football team often wrong or late. Hopefully he turns it around.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:49 AM

@nwhawkfan I like Bilas and Williams personally. I get why he wanted a foul there but I’ve always hated that call when it the offensive player makes the contact, that he turned away from the bucket and made it too obvious. What’s he gonna do shoot it to the stands?

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:42 AM

Speaking of the snorkeling, I have Silvio on Snapchat he said he found Nemo. I told him that was Australia, he actually snapped back he here too lol.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:40 AM

@nwhawkfan we go above the screen on defense they probably still have 20 points. That’s where most of their 3s have came from. They also just air balled a wide open one lol.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:36 AM

We need to do a 3 man weave for about 8 hours straight lol

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:30 AM

Hell ya, I was yelling shoot it!!! I didn’t think he was gonna make it in time. Poop here comes the sleeping wife. Lol

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:28 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 I remember my high school coach blowing dead a scrimmage and telling us the next person that goes on under a screen will join his teammates in hitting every step in this place no less than 5 times. It’s fine that you play a zone, that can work well with the right kids and going against certain teams. I just don’t like seeing our guys do it repeatedly at this level my friend.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:21 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 think you missed the point. We seldom played zone and most the teams we went against didn’t either. The point is that’s defensive basketball one-o-one from our coach that’s supposed to be a defensive minded guy. Go watch the Michigan sweet 16 collapse, think we when went under 3 screens late including Burke’s game tying one. ā€œTo do the same thing repeatedly and expect a different result is insanityā€ Thomas Jefferson.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:15 AM

Why do we go under screens? That’s stuff we worked on in middle school. 5 suicides per time outta solve it.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:11 AM

That’s not a foul because he turned away from the basket to hit him lol, the offensive player made the contact

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:06 AM

Doke wide open for a lob from Dot there, we continue to play as individuals on offense.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:03 AM

Defense has been fine as well as rebounding all but a few possessions

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 04:02 AM

Got a lay up!!!

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 03:58 AM

Everyone’s gotta remember we are young and still haven’t played anywhere near our ceiling

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 03:56 AM

This cylinder crap is a joke

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 03:50 AM

Moss hopefully isn’t a 100% from his hamstring because he just looks so slow, Dedric Lawson slow.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 03:49 AM

Doing too much 1 on 1 action, move the ball!

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 03:44 AM

Interesting we haven’t gone to the bench yet

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 03:39 AM

The 2 bigs are why the three is so open, this game could be a track meet. Only way it works great offensively is if Dave can hit that 17 footer 60% of the time.

BYU KU Game Thread • Nov 27, 2019 03:19 AM

@BShark did you know that Mormons don’t celebrate Halloween? Apparently they don’t like random people at their doors. 🤣

Chaminade Game Thread • Nov 26, 2019 03:09 AM

@DanR or even@putatimelimitonreplays is something I’d settle for

Chaminade Game Thread • Nov 26, 2019 02:57 AM

@stoptheflop I wasn’t sure if you’d be a fan of that flop rule.... 🤣🤣🤣

Chaminade Game Thread • Nov 26, 2019 02:54 AM

@BeddieKU23 Nick Collison was like that early in his career.

Chaminade Game Thread • Nov 26, 2019 02:33 AM

Chaminade is super quick for a D2 school, really covering the post well.

Is progress being made ? with the team • Nov 24, 2019 10:02 PM

@Big-Clyde52 losing Herbert was huge as was losing Dru Prox, our run defense got worse instantly without him. The games are won in the trenches and we just don’t have more than a guy or 2 on either side of the ball that is a Major D1 lineman. Stanley hasn’t been terrible but his decision making and turnovers have been very costly in a few of these tight losses. It will be interesting to see if Miles can get this offensive line upgraded before next season. Bill Snyder was a genius at getting walk-on lineman to the NFL. We need to get a similar thing going here to be successful.
