And there's the Chuck we all know and love lol. We are trying too hard to get on sportscenter right now. Dot dribbling over his head and a air mail lob. Lets get back to playing sound guys.
Come on fellas foot on throat
@truehawk93 hes shooting 40% for the year, best on the team without Vicks 45%.
Wv looks tired, 3rd game in 3 night both nail biters. Let's jump on them here and see if Teahan can hit a 3.
@approxinfinity that is one positive going forward, I'm not sure this team has played great or as good as they can for more than a few minutes.
Guess who's booty popping in the living room, this guy. That last run was all by underclassmen folks
Q!!!!
Good little run, they'll cool off
Now we are calling tick tacks???
If we could run something that resembles an offense, that'd be great. We cant get down big, we buckle when that happens.
Garrett's missed layup and a bad lob are hurting us.
What a chicken shit Barry Brown is.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I'm not saying that they can't make a run just saying I'm not predicting it.
@Texas-Hawk-10 That maybe true but I still don't think they can get anyone better with how big Football is down there. Shoot they couldn't even fill the place with KD.
I still say Texas is foolish for canning Barnes, you'd think making the tournament every year (only missed 1) and getting a conference title every now and then would be fine in football land. The new facility they are building is only to seat 10,000 compared to 16,540 for the Erwin center. The highest avg attendance I could find was when KD was there at just over 14k. Usually I look at road game tickets and Texas and Oklahoma are usually the cheapest. Crazy to think people wouldn't spent $10-$15 to see KD in college. I'd go as a Basketball fan for that price just to see KD.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I think there defense certainly could but at some point you have to put the ball in the hole to win games. We have had some good defensive teams that went cold at the wrong time and that was it. I’m not sold on anyone in this conference and them playing pretty damn good for the last month makes me think they can’t keep it going.
@Crimsonorblue22 I cancelled my subscription but I never could find it on there.
@Crimsonorblue22 how do you get post game?
I really liked our defense tonight for the most part. We looked more like the old high low days with David and Dedric in. Which worked pretty good, if we could some of Grimes and Ochai's perimeter shots to go down. I thought Grimes had some good defensive stops tonight. I'm not sure if Ochai's shin is still bugging him but we are gonna need some outside scoring. We only shot 11 3s tonight, most were good looks.
With Saint Mary's getting in by beating Gonzaga (basically stealing an at large bid). I see no way Texas gets in, they really shouldn't even be in the first 4 out.
@DanR that's a good plan but be careful, you may get caught up in it and miss our game.

Can we leap KSU for the Midwest 4 seed if we win this thing?
I would think we could if we win the tournament, maybe even get to a 3 seed. KSU killed its chances of better than 4 IMO with a laughable non conference schedule.
Great start but it went away quickly.
What a joke, KU football is being investigated in football for a staff violation that probably results in nothing and they really dont have much on Self himself. The main stream media is doing all they can for Nike.
WVU has looked like the best team in KC today....so far, looking at you Jayhawks lol
Looks like WVU will hold on, what a game, I watched every B12 game today and WVU looked like the best team this far for all but about 4 minutes. 79-74 final.
Wow this game is insane, WVU got a and one to go up 4 with 26 ticks left. Then gave up an and one to Culver on the other end.
@Texas-Hawk-10 If you're watching WVU kick their butts right now, you see my point. Tech is terrible offensively for 2 or 3 games at a time. If they face a team that can shoot the trey and they aren't hitting, they are done. Only time all year they looked good on offense was vs us and that apparently was dumb luck.
Hey they could be like the packers or the cowboys, not doing shit and expecting different results.
TCU had every chance, that late 3 by Sneed sealed the deal. The more I watch this conference the more I think they won't make it outta the first weekend.
@BeddieKU23 Yep they just look dead now
TCU choked away a 13 point first half lead against KSU, up 2 at the break. Man they get silly with leads, blew a 21 point lead last night.
As much as we all like Eric Berry, he has been a complete waste of money the last few years. Houston has had health issues the past few years aswell. Ford is a guy I dont understand why they got rid of, hes Young enough he may not played his best ball yet. The only thing I can think of, us they both rush well but have trouble in coverage.
TCU hangs on 73-70, OSU took their first lead with 26 seconds left. Bane then drill a 3, Waters missed a pull up and Robinson canned 2 free ones to seal.
TCU just blew a 21 point lead in 16 minutes. Tie game 38 seconds left
@jayballer73 I would bet on it being a fairly minor violation on that part. KU should've just paid him and been done with it.
Surprise surprise...not, Celebs paying to get their kids into programs. I heard that one of KUs former Tennis coaches could be involved. What a mess Long has inherited here and what a mess SZ left. A guy has to wonder what infractions Beaty could be involved with how bad he stank lol .
@Texas-Hawk-10 I meant to put 04 on OSU but yes I agree for the most part we have had the better teams and coach for that matter.
I think we can beat any team we hit the floor against, doesn’t mean I expect it or will predict it but we always have a chance IMO. In terms of the B12 tournament, I’d probably like to win it more this year than in years past to be like FU, ya’ll got lucky lol. That being said I want to ether lose first game out and go rest or win the whole thing, that how I’ve always felt about it.
@nuleafjhawk it's not an original but I cant remember where it came from.
@dylans I get what he is saying for the most part, I agree that KU has had the most talented teams. a few Texas (07), OSU(05) and maybe Tech teams recently are arguably right there with us. This year we don't have the developed talent without Doke, SDS and Good Vick. Thinking about some of the games we have lost IMO it had more to do with the other teams out hustling us than it did them having more talent, KSU loses in 2014 and 2015 are prime examples of that. It comes back to a saying I told every player I ever coached "Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard" and I 100% buy into it.
We are lucky to have Dedric in many ways. He has the 45 year old playing against 20 year olds at the YMCA look but he has pretty much gotten his in every game. Watching makes me wish I was 6 or 7 inches taller. Not often do I think I was a better athlete than a KU player but I’m a 6’1 guy that could dunk in high school and watching him run and play defense, there no question in my mind my vertical jump, 40 time and shuttle test would be better than his and by a fair amount. All that being said some people are gifted with great athletic abilities and some aren’t, some have size and some don’t. Speed and size are two things are mostly god given, you can improve speed but you ain’t gonna be Tyreek Hill if you don’t have it in your genes. Kinda reminds me of Kobe saying how lucky the NBA was that Iverson wasnt 6’5.
@dylans definitely true after reading the books “beyond the streak” and “beyond the phog”, and seeing what the guys on that team had to say. There is no question he lost that team. I think Wayne and Aaron like Self now but didn’t then.
@jayballer73 2021 B12 POY book it
I see no chance Virginia goes home in the first round again. That was the law of averages finally kicking in, statically it should've already happened a few times before that. I did get pleasure in it not being us and after several experts said we could lose to Penn(highest rated 16 seed since 2013, whom we also faced). Murray State is a team I want no part of. Georgia State, Vermont and them are some teams that could be sleepers.
I'd rather it be Culver than Brown lol, I not one of the people that thinks the award should automatically go to the best player on the best team. We have had several seasons where we won it and didn't have the POY. I believe Culver only averages more assists than Dedric, every other stat go Dedrics way. Brown isn't as good of a rebounder or scorer as the other 2.
@jayballer73 He reminds me a lot of Trob at this stage, goes hard but is a little sped up.
@BeddieKU23 I'd say this team is very comparable to the 2014 or 2015 teams. They were young and really hadn't figured out the type of energy that must be brought to the court every night at this level to win. I'd say those teams had more talent than this one but all seem to be very fragile. The only other team would be the 2005 team that Self lost but those guys were all juniors and Seniors outside of J.R.
Lunardi has Texas still in at a 11 seed currently, if they lose to us Thursday no way they get in. They really shouldn’t be anyways but @BeddieKU23 said having a big fan base makes a difference generating money. I’m just trying to think of .500 team that got in or was even on the bubble (not winning conference tournament), I don’t know that I can name one. I thought that was a driving force in this new NET, to not get some of the below average power schools out. I’d rather see Lipscomb (beat TCU on the road and lost by 4 to Louisville) or Belmont in than Texas.
@Texas-Hawk-10 it really was, ASU is probably gonna end up in the tournament but those two games make the tournament in KC a must win IMO to get a 3 seed. The maddening part of is that we lead those game for like 68 minutes, the ASU game we didn’t trail til just over a minute left. I think if we’d won those and win in KC we would be in conversation for a 1 seed.
