Interesting that ESPN and most sites have the B12 down to 5 teams in. TCU and KSU both in next four out. They both are 17-12 and 6-10 in the big 12,TCU has a much better non conference SOS. They play Wednesday in Fort Worth, likely a elimination game from the dance baring a B12 tournament win.
How about back to back double digit wins for the first time in months!

@Hawk8086 yes TCU had their chances no question with the missed FTs and 22 turnovers. It was just crap way to end a game IMO and like I said if won that way it would be all over the web.
WVU beats TCU 61-60 on a ft. Probably one of the most laughable foul calls I've seen. But no one will bat an eye because it ain't us.
Hopefully the guys just go play and have fun, remember why they are here. I agree with coach Self that the next week the guys have no pressure at all. The key to me is Bragg, with them starting 2 bigs in Claire and Allen we have to stop them to win. We all remember how Allen destroyed our defense in the early match up. LL can guard Claire but idk if we have a guy that can contain Allen, that's why Bragg must show up. Svi or JJ probably start on him. But we can still win if we contain everyone else. That being said I'll take KU 80-74.
Sounds to me like he is a sore loser. I know was just half time but they was down double digits and let up over 60 in a half. Could you imagine how he would handle the octogon of dumb chanting f his school. Heard worse such in middle school JV man. Suck it up little Ricky.

It also is interesting to me that KSU is in. Right now they have the B12 with 7 teams in, I think its more likely for 6. KSU and TT play in Manhattan soon to probably see who Joe puts in with TT listed as the next 4 out currently. TT is a game behind KSU in the conference but that non conference SOS of KSUs to me does them in baring finishing in the top half of the B12, TT is a 100 spots higher in that category. Unless its like OU vs Washington in CFP where playing no one and winning is better than losing more to good teams. I honestly don't get how we are 10th in BPI, 9th in Kenpom but #1 in RPI and 3rd in the massey ratings.
@HawkChamp I thought WSU was way under seeded in 2015, they were a top 20 team in every ratings system and got a 7. We were probably over seed @ a 2 with
Perry not a 100% and Big Cliff out with his shenanigans. @ralster I thought Perry was the only guy that showed up vs WSU, I believe he had 18 or 20 in that game while we got nothing from KO. Selden (which before last year had a combine 8 points in 4 ncaa games) and everyone else. WSU flatout had more talent and experience than us that year, that's just how it was. I believe we could beat them this year, they have some bigs but their guards outside of going nuts from 3 don't hold a candle to ours.

@ralster good points. I think we can get there but have to have more than Frank get us there. We have seen some bad nights from everyone on the team not excluding Frank but the Indiana game is a reminder that more than Frank has to show up. We have capable guys that go nuts at any moment and obviously JJ is on a different level than at season's start.

@mayjay I think the ship has sailed on them expanding because OU and Texas didn't want it. I think the B12 will be extinct in 5 years or considered a mid major.
@BShark Okie State has been playing a ton better than when we last saw them in AFH and we all know how Self likes to give OSU one resume building win lol. I'm just ready for the TCU game, one at a time fellas.

@Crimsonorblue22 I'm with you on this lol sorry @JayHawkFanToo But the way I see it in a round robin format the only way teams should be able to tie in the conference standings is if they tied in conference record and split the two games with each other. Kinda like how KSU won the B12 in 2013 in a year where KU swept them on the court in the season. That shouldn't be a tie KU was obviously the better team and they beat them again in the B12 tournament which doesn't matter to my theory. But if Baylor wins out and we lose 3 and tie them, they shouldn't share with us not after we have won in their house and ours.
@nuleafjhawk Well as much as I hate to say it he's 2-1 vs the B12 @ WSU. Do think he could win the B12 consistently probably not but I think he's a solid coach. I'm okay if you dislike him but not sure where you could come up with that he isn't a decent coach. I hate coach K but he's one of the best coaches. Opinions don't negate facts but facts negate opinions for logical folks.
@nuleafjhawk Lol funny but I not sure how you wouldn't consider him a decent coach. There are a lot of good coaches that have never made a FF. We may never know how he wow do at a big time school but he is currently on the greatest run in WSU history with 6 straight NCAA appearances and in control of their 4th straight conference title.
@Crimsonorblue22 Money Talks friend. I believe Marshall is the 10th highest paid coach in all of college basketball. He makes more than NC coaches

Isn't that the goal of every team that plays the game? lol I almost feel like that's a shot at us because we always win the B12. Like it don't matter to them now and they have bigger fish to fry. Any player that steps on the court wants to win, don't matter the game or the opponent.
@ralster I think Marshall has the same decision that Bill Snyder had at KSU after his first hand full of seasons. Stay and be a god but most likely never win a NC or leave and go to a place where you could recruit to content for a NC. I wouldn't say I'm a Marshall fan but I do respect him as a head coach and think WSU will be a contender in the Valley as long as he is there. Living just an hour away from Wichita they have been exploring adding back football and if they were smart they would do it now while the BB program is bringing in tons of revenue. So they can join a big boy league, I think the Valley has gone down hill since Creighton left.
@approxinfinity I don't know that I could pick an all time favorite. I have a list of guys like this Kenny Gregory, Nick Collison, Kirk Hinrich, Thomas Robinson, Billy Thomas, Tyrell Reed, Sherron Collins, Jared Haase, Perry Ellis and Frank Mason. This pretty much guys I remember. I'm 28 and started watching when I was 7 or 8.
@Crimsonorblue22 sad truth Mason will only be in AFH 2 more games. He will go in the books as one of my all time favorites.
@stoptheflop It was great to see him look good again. He had not shot the ball well in the last few games and struggled to get rim. I was worried he may have been running outta gas. But he looked like he had his legs back for sure.
@truehawk93 I saw that and wasn't trying too be too hard on ya. But should've got a T no question, outta the box and closer the player than his own team when I used to ref we were told that if they are outta the box you could T them up.
@truehawk93 that is a dead ball situation, completely different. Weber looks like he is trying to guard a Texas player. Not even close to the same thing and looks like self is in the box atleast.
I would say it's more wide open this year than most but he's my views.
Contenders- KU we have looked so good and bad at times but like the 2012 Jayhawks if we can be close at the end we are never out.
UCLA- probably the best offensive team around, very fast and athletic, I think they have the talent to hang with anyone.
Nova- Jay Wright has upped his game the last few years and has a ton of weapons and experience.
UNC- I think they have the team with best inside out game and have the highest ceiling of any team.
Pretenders- Gonzaga- we always hear about how it's their year. They have no FFs and 1 elite eight, ever. They may make the sweet 16 but that's all I'd bet on.
Oregon-Is this year's OU team to me, they could be in the FF or have a bad night shooting and go home very early.
Baylor- played us tight but also has some bad losses. They are long and athletic but I never trust a Scott Drew team very far, I think they have lost in the first round 2 straight years if I'm not mistaken.
I wasn't able to watch the first half of yesterdays contest. It was my wife's birthday so we went out for lunch. With that I listened to the pregame and most of the first half via radio. During the pregame they interviewed Zenger our athletics director. He told a story about Frank. It was last year during the first 0-12 season in KU FB history, the Hawks were being handled by KSU late in the second half. Mason was still sitting out in the freezing drizzle lonesome to support his university and stayed til the final seconds ticked off the clock. Character, not that we have questioned Frank's, I just thought it was neat story about our PG and his loyalty.

@wissox I never trust Gonzaga, every year we hear about them being the Cinderella. They have zero FFs and 1 elite 8 in program history. @Crimsonorblue22 WSU won't be sweating at all selection Sunday. They are projected as 8 seed and are a top 20 RPI team. I bet they are ranked Monday, been getting votes for a month.
@wissox that's a match up I want, as long as we win. Get tired of losing to valley teams in the dance. That's all I hear from WSU fans was them beating us in the 80s and in 2015. I don't think WSU is near as talented this year,but they play hard every single second that's how they win. Not with talent just with hustle.
