Billy Preston is set to announce this afternoon. I think we get him, we have been on him since 8th grade and he had good reviews after his late night trip. Just a reminder he is a 6"9 , 220 pound PF ranked 8th in the 2017 class. Knowing that we likely only lose LL and possibly Bragg down low it would be nice to get him and spend time recruiting guards.
The offensive line has looked alot better the last few weeks, fewer sacks and better running lanes for our backs. If we just had a QB i think it would make a big difference. We do have a transfer from Washington State visiting this weekend as @Crimsonorblue22 said. We also have that bama transfer for next year so I looking for vast improvement this offseason.

Kansas is still playing football believe it or not. They will be at home for the final time this Saturday to take on the Shorthorns of Texas, at 2:30 on espn. Texas is a team that we haven't beat since 1935 ( got raped in 05 and 12). Texas has the best athletes in the conference and always has a top ten recruiting class but have failed to really put it together with Charlie Strong at the helm. They are lead by a Freshman QB in Shane Buechele, who has put up decent numbers and I think will grow into a solid player. Their strength matches our weakness in running the ball, their top RB Foreman already has over 1600 yards on the year and could get to 2,00o Saturday on our weak run defense, Defensively they have struggled mightily and give up 33 points a game. Texas has came in with no pulse the last few trips to Lawrence hopefully that trend continues and we can finally make them pay for it. The key to me is the offense has to continue making progress under Stanley. We cant abandon the run like last week, we have to keep their defense on the field to have a chance Saturday. I was interested in how Franks numbers were all time with him playing quite a bit in his time here. He currently sits tied for 36th all time in points with Aaron Miles with 1183 points, 24 points shy of #35 Jacque Vaughn. Realistically i think he could get to top 30 or 25 prob not much more JoJo White is 29th with 1286 points. Sherron Collins is the best point guard scorer in KU history with 1888 points good for 5th all time in all scorers. He currently has 403 Assists in his career, Miles leads this area all time with 954. Looking at his numbers he could finish top 25 scoring and top 5 assists, Adonis Jordan sits 5th currently with 568 assists and Mason averaging around 160 assists per year he should get there with ease.

@BeddieKU23 I agree, I think they could hang around for a little. I personally hope we get up early so Frank, DG and LL can get some rest let Vick and Doka have a field day with JJ. George Washington is solid for sure and we may play them in the CBE.

@KUSTEVE Nice read, but it cracks me up because just last week or earlier this week I read an article on CBS sports about how Frank and Graham hurt us because they have reached their ceiling ( which frank prob has, DG no way), and they are too short to guard 3s and what not. Frank is putting people on notice to respect him
@BShark Miami has been decent here lately, made the sweet 16 LY and has beaten Duke and UNC in the past few years. Its a little surprising but some kids want to be apart of the building process and not just another high expectation team.

Kansas volleyball went on the road to face the Mountaineers this evening and got all they could handle winning in 5 sets against the 8th place team in the conference. It wasn't pretty but a road win is always tough when your the #1 team in the conference and #4 in the land. It was their 12th straight match win and improves them to 24-2 overall, 13-1 in the B12. Two games left to play one at home and one on the road vs two top 4 B12 teams in ISU and Baylor. Our best player Kelsie Payne was injured, no details thus far looked like a rolled ankle.
@tundrahok @Crimsonorblue22 TRob was pretty raw IMO Doka will prob never have his range but could have his dominate nature in the post.
I don't think will see frank score his average right now at 25.5 PPG very much longer, Bragg, JJ and LL have yet to play at a high level on offense out side of a few minutes by JJ, graham also has a good average right now but has been icy from deep as has Svi. I think he should be in the conversation if he can keep up his rebounds and assists, I bet he gets a triple double this year. I'd say if he can average around 15, 7 and 7 he should be considered, he did shut down Allen on defense last night too.
One other interesting thing from the game is the fact that all the foul trouble didn't lead to a single minute by Coleby in ether game, which is kinda surprising that he doesn't play over lightfoot just off of his experience, but i think he may not be 100% yet.
@BShark Duval would be a good get no question, I just feel like the NCAA shafts us on these deals with eligibility.
@justanotherfan Very true statement, tho I think the protesting has contributed to this decline. I know several people that wont watch it anymore do to the protests. I'm not a big NFL fan so I watch a little bit of a few games.
@BeddieKU23 Good points don't forget we have Malik Newman next year to help out if we lose both guys and Vick should continue his growth, that being said we may not need a flashy top 10 recruit may a transfer and a 4 year guy.

@BeddieKU23 Yes the game isnt fun to watch when there is a whistle every 10 seconds, i thought they let them play for a few minutes at the midway point of the second half. LL will be fine once he finds his groove, he's still being bothered bye his ankle.
Ku didn't play their best and we played against 8, A win against Duke is a good win period
