@JayHawkFanToo smart won the conference tournament 3 times, which equaled their amount from the previous decade and made the final four, lead them to their most NCAA apperances in a row, they may not have been a door mat but that put them on the map and has to stand for something.

@drgnslayr Agreed. @JayHawkFanToo Idk bout Smart getting Texas to a powerhouse but he got them back to the dance last year and did a great job turning Atlantic 10 doormat VCU into a fixture in the tournament. I'll bet anybody on this site Texas beats us this year or next. They may not win the B12 but Smart is one of the best up and coming coaches in the NCAA period.

Kansas travels to West Virginia saturday evening to take on the #20 Mountaineers, at 6 on ESPN 2. WVU has had a decent season thus far hence the ranking, 6-1 record with the lone loss last week at OSU so i bet they will be ready to play. They have been pretty balanced behind QB Skylar Howard. Their Defense is solid and in the top half of the B12. The same questions loom for Kansas how long can the Defense keep them in the game? Will Cozart play like a D1 QB? I think this game will be close for the better part of it, with WVU not having the fire power of Baylor or OU. The line sits at 35 points right now. I'll say WVU wins 41-13, after a close half they pull away late much like the OSU game for us. RCJH

@Crimsonorblue22 Interesting that he sounds like he may not be a OAD. I bet he goes but don't think he'll be the #1 pick at this point but a long ways o go. I've watched KU BB and many other teams for years and Wigs is the most athletic guy I've ever seen in person no question.

@Kcmatt7 Agreed i think some of the players back then were good enough to play these days but only a hand full. Its the same way in FB, kids now a days are bigger, faster and stronger than most that played in the old days. I'm thinking Wilt could've played in todays game just fine if he was in his prime, some of the other guys like Jerry west would get smoked IMO.

@jayballer54 lol I just posted on this myself, Yes it was tough but I will take a win on the road any day especially against our little bro. KSU is actually a top 20 RPI team only because they've played a tough SOS but haven't really beat anyone.

Kansas was tested tonight in Manhattan. But prevailed in 5 sets 25-18, 26-28,25-22,21-25 and 15 -11. It was pretty sloppy from what I caught of it but a win is a win and that makes 9 straight for our ladies now 21-2 and 10-1 in the B12 now ranked 4th in the land. They have 5 matches remaining and control their own destiny if they win out they are guaranteed at least a share of the B12 crown. RCJH

I agree with whta most of you are saying, my issue beyond anything else is why in F*** is Mason playing 32 minutes in this game, he needs to average less than his 36 from LY in my opinion.

I could honestly see Coleby getting more minutes if LL and Bragg don't rebound. He looks limited on offense but unless LL improved a ton so is he, although we haven't seen enough yet to judge LLs offensive improvements. LL 1 rebound in 17 minutes is a joke you figure being his size he could accidently get more, Bragg 2 in 14 minutes slightly better but still laughable, Coleby 6 in 11 minutes is solid. Lets just see how Sunday goes I agree with Self rebounding is how you tell if you played hard, my coach always said rebounding is 10% skill and 90% will and I believe it, I've personally out rebounded a guy 6 inches taller bye getting low and boxing out. Size doesn't matter as much as folks think if you do your work hence Mason with 10 (shortest guy on the court). @HawkChamp the offense was sloppy idk if we ran the high low at all. looked like the NBA drive and kick no ball movement.

It was a practice game no need to worry a guy to sleep. Indiana will tell us a lot. @JayHawkFanToo Perry was an okay rebounder he averaged under 7 per game a year ago which isn't great for a post. In regards to comparing all time its hard to because of the OADs like emiid or guys like Wilt not playing as a Freshman.

I'm about 40 heavier than HS in the winter I trim down in the summer I don't own a scale anymore but I'm 220 in winter 205 in summer. Working in a hot shop helps lol. If I get to 230 I'll hit the gym. I did about 4 years ago and got back down to 185 but kids and marriage are stressful haha.

@JayHawkFanToo bout 5 foot away I take two big steps and I can grab the rim, just did it, was out playing with my son he's 16 months and he already can give me a bounce pass most of the time with a full sized ball lol.

@JayHawkFanToo I wasnt a great player bye any stretch just slightly above average. I did have the highest vertical on the team but I was slow 4.70s 40 time. Going to a 2A school i also was the second tallest on the team which is why i played post lol.

@jaybate-1.0 I cant shoot or dribble well but my calling card was defense and rebounding. put me in Self lol

@JayHawkFanToo I just measured im 94 inches from the ground with my arms sterched all the way out, 10 foot is 120 inches plus the ball to dunk so I'd guess that 31 inches is fairly accurate. lol i bet im like 27 now. Can still grab the rim, just cant get the ball over.

@JayHawkFanToo Well I'm 6'1 and could dunk it.

And on a side note Wilt is my first pick if i could make a all time fantasy team. His averages are the best of Russel, Hakeem, Shaq and Kareem, he just started his career later and didnt play as long, has the best average career for points and rebounds if not mistaken and the best average for a single season.

I'd say no reason to start Jackson at this point SVI looks better. Let him come off the bench, I dont really see him as OAD first round pick. Selby looked twice as good.

I tell you I dont think I've seen AFH empty so fast looked half empty with 12 minutes left. Don't blame them ether, the team certainly looked like they had better things to do rather than play.
