@wissox all I thought I knew about the Dook hype train was confirmed in 2018. We had just beaten Dook in OT to go to the final four. Front page of ESPN on MBB after had nothing on the game except at the very bottom. The main headline was Coach K beats Calipari at his own game and was an article about the class they had coming in next year. Zero about how Kansas just beat them to go to a final four.

@kuballin10 I thought KJ played well tonight. I donât mind him playing a little more than Flory if he is having a good game. Saturday was a match up issue and he had no business playing 30 minutes. Flory had some great blocks tonight. The only thing I question is if KJ and Juan played a bit too much at 32 and 35 minutes respectively. Shak had a whopping 2 minutes tonight after only playing 3 in the second half Saturday, sounds like he has entered the Self dog house.

Guys Iâm almost in tears at this point. AJ had a great half in the first. Bill Self is letting him see the floor in the second half!!!!!! We are playing inside out with our bigs. Solid half, only complaint is rebounding. Will be interesting to see how we come out in the second. Did coach and the players learn anything? If it was Saturday AJ wouldnât see the floor except 3 minutes and theyâd ride Rylen for 15. Hopefully that doesnât happen

Coach Self will be here next season and Iâm okay with that on most levels. He is only 3 years removed from a national title. Serious question is it time to make some staff changes?

I think the trouble with this team starts with coaching and effort. Watch that WV game and with a straight face say they didnât come in there and out hustle us in every way possible. The Houston game was just lack of coaching and situational awareness from the oldest team in CBB this season. Baylor I put a 100% of that loss on Self. Build a 21 point lead with a group of guys that are playing well togetherâŚ.. set 2 or 3 of those guys on the bench for most of the second half. As I said on the game thread, they had guys with 4 fouls. Think maybe we could go at them guys and try to get them out of the game? Nope no in the slightest. Iâve been involved with basketball in some light for over 30 years (playing, coaching and officiating) and up until this year or last I wouldâve said Self has forgotten more about the game than Iâll ever know. Now I honestly worry if something is going on health wise with him. The stuff that gets done is laughable from a basketball IQ standpoint. Just like him trying 3 bigs against UCF. Anyone with basketball knowledge couldâve told you that wouldnât work in that game as I did in the game chat. I know Iâm a negative asshole but most of what Iâve said the last two years has came into fruition. Iâm seriously worried about Selfs mental health at this point.
@rockchalkjayhawk itâs so silly to me that we were up by 4 or 5 with 5 minutes to go and they had 2 or 3 guys with 4 fouls. Youâd thinking a coach with average intelligence wouldâve said letâs go after these guys and get them out of the gameâŚâŚ..

@Kcmatt7 I wish I felt the same way Iâm just absolutely disgusted in Selfs decision making the last few years. This program headed down in a bad way. Iâm hearing Peterson is now having second thoughts about coming and for the record I donât blame him one bit. I would steer clear of this place if I was him. Iâm just scratching my head as to why you would build a 20 point lead with Flory and Rylen then set them down for most of the next half. At this point KJ is the worst multiple year starter in the Self era and Juan is the worst PG.
