Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 17, 2023 07:43 PM

I’m honestly starting to feel for Mahomes with out the 36 dropped passes he probably gets another MVP award or is atleast in the conversation.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 17, 2023 07:40 PM

There’s another drop

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 17, 2023 07:18 PM

I’m not too disappointed on this half, key plays are the pick and missed FGs or it’s 17-7. Mahomes looks super sharp 13/15 183 yards.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 17, 2023 07:09 PM

Get a TD here and get the ball after half be fine.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 17, 2023 07:09 PM

@nuleafjhawk another Mahomes pick that hits his receiver in the hands, I think that’s 5 this season.

Texas Tech puts up 27 points unanswered in the independence Bowl to drop Cal 34-14.

@RockChalkinTexas any chance of you shipping the treats out? Lol

Pet Peeves Please • Dec 17, 2023 02:30 AM

I’ll add to this after my trip to Walmart after our game. People lazily going in the exit and stopping the door traffic by not walking an extra 4 feet. Add in people not returning carts. If it’s a blizzard I get it but it was 50 and sunny in central Kansas today.

@FarmerJayhawk the final four run is the only thing that kept him there this long. I give it one or two more years before he is out, that just bought him time.

Quick note, Mari needs more PT, hit a big shot, had a couple of good defensive stops and rebounds in that second half.

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 07:57 PM

3 seniors, Juan, HD and Kevin doing what seniors are supposed to do. Love it!

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 07:54 PM

Those gutsy wins are team building folks

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 07:51 PM

HD made some huge pays down the stretch with Kevin

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 07:34 PM

No way that was a foul on Juan let’s get some stops here folks

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 07:23 PM

KJ has had a good game but that was very costly

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 07:20 PM

Mari> Timberlake, same opportunity today and Mari is taking more of an advantage. Nic missed a front end and 2 wide open 3s

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 07:11 PM

Hunter is just off today badly

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 06:59 PM

We had a chance there, 2 missed free throws and a layup. Makes a 1 point game instead it’s back to 11. Could be the final straw there.

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 06:44 PM

I still feel like much like I did last season, we don’t have great athletes

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 06:34 PM

I honestly think that was about as bad as we can play and probably the best I’ve seen them play so far this season. It’s only a 8 point game, no worries at this point

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 06:22 PM

I love how it’s a foul when we go over the top

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 06:18 PM

Another obvious 2 that is ruled a 3, keep it single digits here and we are fine

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 06:09 PM

If we can keep this at 5 points or less for halftime we will be just fine

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 05:58 PM

We are fortunate we aren’t getting spanked by 20. Hopefully we can settle in

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 05:56 PM

We look rattled as heck

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 05:43 PM

Well not an great start here

KU vs Indiana game chat • Dec 16, 2023 05:06 PM

Indiana hasn’t impressed me to this point but you can bet after getting embarrassed by Auburn and with us coming to town. They’ll be ready to go this morning.

Pet Peeves Please • Dec 15, 2023 09:01 PM

@dylans asking for advice or something of that nature I’m down with. Just asking someone use thousands of dollars worth of tools to do manual labor for free is the issue I have. Which happens literally daily in the automotive world.

Pet Peeves Please • Dec 15, 2023 02:02 AM

I’d say two of my biggest pet peeves are, people wanting others to work for free and people that are always offended.

I’ve been in the automotive field for just all of my adult life. People want you to do all sorts of stuff for free and most of it is completely ridiculous. This is how we feed our families, if we spent hours doing stuff for free the more challenging that becomes.

Then there is the offended thing. If it doesn’t prevent you from living your life, why does it matter? I’ve literally never been offended by anything in my entire life because no one has ever said or worn t-shirt or seen a label that has prevented me for doing a gosh darn thing. You want to wear a Mizzou, go ahead. Poor choice of team but I can still go get a Big Mac. Put a political sticker of an idiot on your car, doesn’t prevent me from driving to work.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 12, 2023 03:16 AM

@jayballer67 GB played the game of their lives at least Love when KC was in town. Chiefs like KU get everyone’s best with hype and being defending champs.

The Portal is out of control • Dec 12, 2023 01:43 AM

@jayballer67 I pretty much said this on the original post about the latest conference realignment. Everyone will be minor leagues for the B10 and SEC. If I’m not mistaken 13 of the top 14 teams in the current CFP standings will be in those conferences next season, most already are.

Our stadium remodel • Dec 12, 2023 12:43 AM

I’ll miss the way the stadium looked like the Roman Colosseum from the outside. But other than that I like the idea of not being 25 yards away from the field.

Team discussion after 10 games • Dec 11, 2023 11:17 PM

I think we are right about where I thought we would be record wise. Best surprise - Kevin, looks more athletic and could be playing his way to a draft pick.

Biggest disappointment is Timberlake, dude just seems to be completely lost. I hate being this hard on him but my god. He is quickly becoming one of the worst scholarship players in memory.

I made the comparison the other day to a Tony Bennett Virginia team. They value the ball well most the time and are efficient offensively. Leading the nation in FG% and Assists. They also play pretty good defense when the starting 5 is on the floor.

The downside to being a Bennett type team, if a team gets hot from 3, pressures hard and they push the ball like Marquette. We are in trouble in those types of contests. We play at a much slower pace than we are used to here at Kansas.

My honest opinion is I don’t see this team winning the big 12 this season but I’ve said that before and been wrong. I honestly think the B12 is far and away the best conference this season.

Defense always travels and this team could develop into one of BS best teams in that category. I can see this team losing in the first round of the NCAAs or making the final four.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 11, 2023 03:55 AM

@nuleafjhawk distractions are for sure a problem

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 11, 2023 02:19 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Toney has cost them 2 wins plain and simple. Mello Dotson whom just announced he will return to KU next season has more receiving TDs than Toney and Sky if you count pick 6s. That’s absolutely unacceptable and pathetic.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 11, 2023 02:15 AM

@nuleafjhawk most of what I saw the ones he threw in the dirt were intentionally as throw aways under pressure. I’m not saying he hasn’t missed some throws but the chiefs have led the NFL in drops since week 2 they have to hit the receivers hands to be deemed a drop. Get rid of Mahomes and this team ain’t winning 5 games.

Other bball games • Dec 11, 2023 01:19 AM

@Texas-Hawk-10 Will be interesting to see how long Bronny plays college ball. Doesn’t look like an nba caliber guy at this point. But LeBron says he wants to wait to play NBA ball with his son before retiring.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 11, 2023 12:47 AM

I put the majority of the blame on the management. They knew the receivers and the line was a problem for the last several months. Didn’t trade anyone or make any moves to improve the situation. The run in KC maybe be done.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 11, 2023 12:44 AM

@nuleafjhawk how would you pin that loss on Mahomes logically? Wide receivers continued to drop passes, fumble and line up in the neutral zone. Offensive line is hot garbage, if the chiefs had an nfl receiver room. They’d be 12-1 right now. Can’t expect Mahomes to do magic every week and year.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 10, 2023 10:13 PM

Gonna try as best as they can to miss the playoffs apparently

@jayballer67 the numbers are not pretty because we can’t blow out very many teams. I’ve already stated a few times this is a copy of a Tony Bennett coached team. Play good defense and be efficient offensively. We have seen teams like that win a national title or lose to a 16 seed.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 10, 2023 06:06 PM

@dylans that’s the deal with the cap right now. If they don’t win it this season, they could be in trouble for the next five years. Don’t get me wrong, they still be a playoff caliber team but Kelce ain’t getting no younger and Jones is likely gone.

Other bball games • Dec 10, 2023 04:46 PM

The interesting thing going back to Tomlin is the president of the university says his dismissal comes from more than the October 30th issue in aggieville. Sounds like he has involved in something more serious or is a repeat offender. Remember this a lot of the same administration that hid Wainwright(former KSU player) was involved in a drive by shooting in January but kept in under wraps til the season was over.

Chiefs season long game thread • Dec 10, 2023 03:47 PM

They just need to get their swagger back offensively. It starts up front, I haven’t been impressed with the tackles on the offensive line. They have a high number of penalties and have gave up quite a few sacks. Better play calling, maybe the receivers can’t catch the ball more than 5 yards off the line because they don’t try to go deep til the 2 minute drill.

Missouri Hate Weekend • Dec 10, 2023 05:08 AM

Seeing the stuff the antlers pull both on X and at games. It absolutely shocks me any African American would consider going to school there

Missouri Hate Weekend • Dec 10, 2023 12:43 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Right I thought you couldn’t have a soft more than 5 in basketball

Missouri Hate Weekend • Dec 10, 2023 12:36 AM

Give them a little credit for speeding us up a bit leading to turnovers. But that was a piss poor effort from the zebras. Like they were told this can’t be a blood bath again. I don’t care how we win, especially with this team.

Missouri Hate Weekend • Dec 10, 2023 12:29 AM

Free throws look

Missouri Hate Weekend • Dec 10, 2023 12:22 AM

Need to wake up here and have a good possession

Missouri Hate Weekend • Dec 10, 2023 12:16 AM

That wasn’t a 3 they just made, foot was over the line, hopefully they review it.
