Hishaw’s fumbles are becoming an issue 3 in 3 games

This is such a weird game we over double the amount of yards and first downs as them but it’s tied.

We dropped a sure fire pick 6 and missed 3 fumble recoveries

@Crimsonorblue22 Defense was decent outside of about 3 plays. They only have 97 yards and are averaging just 3 yards for play. Penalties, missed turnovers, bad decisions offensively and a terrible punt see why it’s not 17-0 right now because it should be. Hopefully getting guys back gives us some juice just not fire at all out there by the guys in white.

Did David Beaty come back to do coaching tonight. I hope LL lights into these guys. Not acceptable

That FG was an oddity, Nevada’s QB is 3/5 for -7 yards they have 23 yards of offense but 3 points. Offense needs to wake the heck up

Nevada is very lucky they haven’t turned it over yet, they may end up with 3 here.

@dylans my response is line with what @mayjay has just said. I’m sorry but the guy doesn’t seem like a stand up citizen in any light. After hearing some of his podcasts and interviews I can definitely see why the chiefs didn’t have him available for media. One common denominator in all of his accused issues, some proven, some not is him.

Game is on CBS Sports Network, I think they have a deal with the Mountain West. Think the last time I remember playing on that station was 2009 vs UTEP. Jalon’s injury continues to be very worrisome at this point. I think we are a 8-9 win ceiling team with him but a 5-6 ceiling team with Bean in there. If there is any chance it re-aggravating his back there is zero reason to play him.

@dylans Hill was and continues to be one of the best receivers in the NFL but I still think he is a ticking time bomb and likely ends up in jail at some point.

You don’t have to lead with the helmet for it to be targeting. COBE’s targeting wasn’t remotely close to leading with his helmet but deemed avoidable contact to the receivers head and neck. The football world is so much different than when I played. Not saying it’s all bad for the sport but much like Cobe did Friday as a safety I was always told to light up anyone that thought they could catch the ball in the slot.

It really seems stupid to pay 3.6 million in fines to get this contract. If he just showed up when he was supposed to and contractually obligated too he’d be money ahead essentially. Could you imagine if the team acted similarly, Toney had a bad game Thursday so the team says you ain’t playing again til you agree to less money.

I’d take the points with Nevada if I bet on it, my early Prediction is KU 42- Nevada 17.

@FarmerJayhawk we are all fair to gauge it our way for sure but the opting out and Covid are just the last few years. The Pac has struggled in bowl games since Pete Carroll was on the sidelines.

@FarmerJayhawk I personally put more into bowl game results rather than rankings which tend to a popularity contest. To me I realize the B12 wasn’t good in that department last season but I think it was a down year. @FarmerJayhawk The Pac is a joke to me besides USC. Oregon and Utah whom are probably the second and third best teams in that conference struggled against B12 teams that are gonna be lucky to finish in the top half of the conference.

I thought JD looked pretty darn good for missing a portion of camp, being throw in the fire against a good B10 defense. He looked gassed to me at times which isn’t surprising, he may not be in game shape just yet. I only had a problem with about 3 plays he made.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Willie is a great coach no questioning that. I just didn’t see them holding off a top 5 SEC team. Beating KSU was great for them but was the same KSU team that got spanked in a bowl by the third best SEC team without several starters. That’s what leads jn my question for @approxinfinity.

@approxinfinity ya they won’t last a lot longer with the NIL. But does the NIL narrow the gap between the SEC and everyone else? Seems like it may have started to already. The no power conferences will soon be minor leagues per se, have a good year and get called up.

@Texas-Hawk-10 a SEC team with probably at least 5 times the NIL budget as Tulane should win.

I feel like we got a tough draw in terms of who play watching these first weeks. Baylor, WV, Houston and TCU all look like hot garbage at this point. I’d be licking my chops if we had KSUs schedule.

What is everyone’s opinion on these Friday night games? Attendance last week was just over 41k and up to nearly 46k this week. I feel like if we can beat Nevada we will have a true sell out vs BYU. I like them personally because it gives me Saturday to do whatever I need to. But I also think it’s hurt attendance by a few thousand with highschool football going on, this week you also have nascar running the truck race tonight at the Kansas speedway that may have stole a few people.

@wissox I enjoy a few arguments from time to time lol @Texas-Hawk-10 and I will get after each but we have a lot respect for one another. It’s just a chat room at the end of day.

I hate being hard on the refs and stuff but it’s one thing for a guy officiating a highschool game to make an extra $50 compared to a D1 guy that’s making 6 figures doing it. At some point you have to have accountability, I’m been managing for several years now and that’s the #1 thing I push.
