Home vs road makes a difference. If you listened to the KU athletics podcast I posted Self says we eeek out wins when other teams might have won by more. That’s because we get everyone’s best 110% and they are more turned up to play us versus when they play an okay big 12 team and their gym is half full.

Part of being the champ is you get everyone’s best shot and you better believe we are going to get ksu’s. I don’t care how many shots Nowell missed Saturday he is going to make some versus us.

Good game for Juan to wake up both defensively and offensively as he’s been uncharacteristically off these last two games.

@Crimsonorblue22 KJ is irreplaceable and even exceeded Bill’s plans. Heck Bill said in November he still had him on the wing but if the bigs couldn’t get it together he’d have no choice but kj at the 5. It’s worked like a dream honestly.

@Crimsonorblue22 I’ll never block anyone unless it’s a clear mu or uk troll saying how great their team is and just hating on us.

Blocking someone because of a differing opinion on a lineup or scheme ect is a maturity issue

I’ve been negative as crap on here before but read similar stuff on other KU sites and wouldn’t block those users unless it’s true trolling (fire self now, we will never win another game ect).

Jethro needs to know the definition of a troll because discussing the pro’s and con’s about a lineup isn’t trolling.

Please point out where I said "fire Bill", "We are going 0-8 these next 8 games".

The discussion was around the Harris, Joe, Bobby lineup that didn't do what they were intended to do (not turn it over, execute the offense and get good shots).

TXHawk responded and clearly didn't think I was "trolling". Like I said when Bill goes back and watches the tape curious what he thinks about that lineup.

I figured Cam, Jalen, Kevin, Cuffe, Zach and possibly MJ.

I'm not sold on Gradey leaving yet as he can't create his own shot as well as someone like JW so another year would be helpful but I get it if he's lottery Bill probably tells him to leave.

@Kcmatt7 now would be awesome for this. The missery game was the best game we played start to finish and if our guys can get back to something close to that we will go 5-3/6-2 (im still hesitant because the teams we are playing have serious size)

@DanR we will be battle tested for March no doubt

Uk gonna give us their best shot and they are big so I’m curious to see how we do against them compared to how we played tn earlier

Pressure is on ksu for sure just hope we d them up because we know they don’t play a lick of d as a team

@HawkChamp Self isn’t gonna ever say we are due for a loss it’s “we gotta play better and that wasn’t our best game ect”.

The due for a loss wouldn’t be said if we were holding serve at home winning by 8-12 but we’ve squeaked out wins against some average big 12 teams (minus isu) so that’s signs for concern.

Juan didn’t score yesterday

Kevin doesn’t draw iron half the time and is so down on himself right now because he’s shooting poorly

Gradey can’t create his own shot

JW’s shooting has cooled off

KJ is the bright spot just carrying us right now - words I never thought I’d type

Due for a loss because if we continue this play on the road, without AFG magic and the opposing team shoots just average we will lose by 6-10

Be careful your gonna get called a troll or mr hat because you are actually watching the games with two eyes rather than box score analyzing and saying “we won what is there to worry?”

I don't see any reason KU shouldn't go 6-2 or better during this stretch. @KSU and @ISU are the two I could see KU drop, but the other 6 I think KU should win.

6-2 I’d take right now just not seeing it with how we are playing. Maybe we are a better road team than home team as our most convincing wins were at missery and at wvu

You already acknowledged ksu and isu on the road won’t be easy. I’d guess 4-4 and it gets a little rocky but 5-3 wouldn’t surprise me

@jayballer67 I agree that place will be rocking for their super bowl. Good game for Kevin to get out of his funk and Juan to take it personal with Nowell.

Not sure what @Jethro’s deal is he’s adding as much to the board as cardboard with these takes. Somehow it’s personal with the “yours not so much” as if you don’t 100% believe we will win every game you aren’t a true fan.

At least come with a breakdown of what you @Jethro think will happen not some three sentence snarky comment; so irritated as if you made fun of your golden child

Anyone else notice TJ didn’t coach his team in timeouts? It was Green leading every huddle with tj standing back and listening….I found that odd because it happened all game not just a one off situation

@COHawk essentially big 12 tourney is when he got his shot and delivered. He played more minutes than Juan and we beat tech.

It continued through the ncaa tourney and man it was fun.

We won’t have a 6th man this year. Was hoping it was Joe, not even close. Bobby’s just a dribbler and MJ might have been that guy but with injuries and what not it’s never taken off

Bigs I wish we’d give big Ern some run if he is showing anything in practice. A UConn, TN or Bama in the tourney or heck tcu/Tex/Baylor in conference play we need more length

@Jethro bill will look at the tape and if his reasoning for that lineup was to take care of the ball hopefully he will see the did the opposite and gave up the lead in the first half

We keep eeking out these wins at home, I’m curious to see how we fair in legit road games. As Bill said of the 4-0 teams we by far have had the easiest schedule.

It’s so bad offensively we hardly get any quality shots even though we don’t turn it over

The small two guard lineup is not Frank/Graham vibes or even close so not sure the purpose

Best O is high pick and roll where Juan throws it to kj and he facilitates or drives from there

Alabama looks like a team we want to avoid until the final 4. 6-8, 6-10, 7-0 all long, lanky and athletic just hammering lsu

@BeddieKU23 both ksu and isu have played harder big 12 schedules so far and been impressive.

Our schedule has been the easiest of the 4-0 teams.

@jayballer67 let’s see how tough we are and what this team is made of. I’d roll with the squad any night and they never quit or ever think they won’t win. Championship attitude spilled over to this season with jalen, Juan and kj.

I know it’s not looking good but book it Gradey is back next year playing the jwill or och role shooting 15 times a game.

Was there last night the place was electric those final 5 minutes.

Juan is legit looking to score more and all of our guys have been working on those floaters

JW is the guy as we know and the only one really good at creating his own shot. The constant post up was brutal caused the ball to stick but we couldn’t manufacture anything else offensively

Gradey - He’s way more active on the boards but he doesn’t move without the ball to get it very well except back cuts. Need to run the elevator screen for him and not Kevin (not sure what Bill is thinking there)

Kevin - defensively is a menace - needs to quit worrying about the calls and just play. He’s stepped up down the stretch

KJ - mvp dude is a monster and allows us to guard anyone and everyone by switching. That block was ridiculous I don’t care about his trex arms

Bench - manageable. Clem was huge but just a turnstile on D. Joe had a bucket via the floater and Bobby was okay nothing special

OU is physical to watch it up close like that was sweet. If they could have hit a three second half they’d won but porter didn’t have them prepared final 1:30

Next 8 games are gonna either win us the big 12 or make it close. I love this league our guys will be prepared and my bracket will be big 12 homer picks

Lastly - ksu is legit. Yes, they give up buckets but they can flat out score. Tang has them rolling and confident.

I think we match up great with OU. KJ & JW should be quick enough to defend the Groves brothers. Harris against Sherfield will be a great matchup…Juan will be in his jock all night.

This is a game for McCullar and Gradey to dominate

Fran sucks he’s a turd. Big dude just flat out fell JW backed up. Ever since fran went off while calling our game about Scott Drew’s AFH homer tape…Fran hasn’t stopped talking about calls.

We got jobbed until the very end and he wasn’t saying a word. Fran sucks as a non bias announcer he is just awful.
