WHEW
Ochai great, early and late
There ya go Mitch
Relying on just one guy for all your offense is a dangerous game plan
O - MY
@jayballer67 No choice. Two guys down.
Or...we can just hope we keep getting fouled while shooting 3s
There's that crisp OU passing again...
@Kubie Sucks that he couldn't play in the All Star Game. Would've mae him an even bigger favorite for MVP
Missed that ! lol

Need to settle down a bit. Looking very playground-y the last few minutes.
That's good news for Seahawks fans. Seattle's looking for O-linemen after Russell Wilson (and especially his agent) raised a stink about a lack of protection.
(Interesting that Wilson is the agent's only client, so it behooves him to make a bigger deal out of this than it actually is. The new lower salary caps around the NFL make any move highly unlikely, especially for a QB who just signed a megadeal the season before last. I'd disregard all the media smoke about it, at least for the time being.)
I'm coming off my first shot last week with no ill effects (sore shoulder aside). I did lay off my meds for a day just in case. 2nd shot comes in late March.
One small surprise...my provider had said I was going to get Moderna, but due to weather-related issues delaying the shipment, I got Pfizer instead.
Looks like KSU came to play. Appreciate the hustle.
Too many turnovers though. They look to be at their ceiling, while Baylor is underperforming.
BTW...with that loss UK has 2,327 all-time wins. KU now at 2,321.
No Duke, no Kentucky...if this keeps up we're going to run out of teams to hate on
Danny Manning doing commentary between games today on ESPN2.
So are we finally done with all this? Or does this house of cards collapse to the point that it takes down the Chancellor too ?
But, yes. Gonzaga comes back in the 2nd half to beat BYU. Another double-digit win. Wouldn't want to play the Cougars in the tournament though.
And your latest 16 seed...Mount St. Mary's (KenPom #228), after winning the NEC.
Cleveland State also in; they take the Horizon League crown.
So that makes how many ex-coaches we're paying? I hope Mangino is off the books by now.
What a week for KU fans. First Miles, now this. Can we please get through 24 hours without another punch to the gut ?
That said, we've been pretty lucky so far in terms of virus cancellations. The law of averages is finally catching up with us. Hope everybody's healthy and cleared to play by the 18th.
@COHawk Porter Moser. Sounds like the name of a country singer.
And in the WCC (really late) nightcap, BYU pulls it out in OT after trailing Pepperdine most of the game.
Guessing that App State will get a 16 seed.
Wonder if the selection committee will have a sense of humor and put them up against Michigan ?
Always get a kick out of the longshots making it in. App State - #210 ranking in KenPom
On the other end, was surprised to see Loyola-Chicago in the Top 10.
Make damn sure the search committee digs DEEP into these guys' past
So after Charlie Weis and Les Miles, have we learned our lesson about hiring big-name coaches ?
After everything came out it was inevitable. Didn't help that the story broke during International Women's Month.
Yesterday, Bracketology had us playing Liberty in the first round. A scary prospect, since two years ago they pulled another one of those 12-v-5 seed "upsets."
To further complicate things, that bracket had the winner playing either Wichita State or Colorado (coached by KU's Tad Boyle). Of course, today's results changed all that, but it would've been an interesting scenario.
That game's tomorrow. Wishful thinking on my part.
And Michigan State over Michigan. That, plus some help in the conference tourneys, could MAYBE get us as high as a 2 seed.
B10/B12 will be nuts. At least 7 bid-worthy teams in each.
And Nova goes down again.
So according to the tournament schedule, it looks like we play Thursday at 5:30 PM Central against the winner of the Iowa State-vs.-Number 7 seed game.
And a good citizen to boot ! He's donating his $100,000 All-Star check to homeless shelters in Philly, with the Sixers matching that.
The timing of the announcement is interesting, but not surprising. In the journalism world I believe they call it the "Friday news dump."
If you've got bad news to announce, do it on a Friday PM so the media pays less attention to it.
Maybe this is the wakeup call to prep for the B12 tournament. Gets the bad ball out of their system. Let somebody else get upset in the tourney for a change.
Just got home to catch the last few minutes. How the hell were we down that much at the half? Glad we won, but jeez...

@jayballer67 yup. Toooo bad.
Yeah. A low down dirty shame
Baylor pulls it out in OT.
2 and 1 in their first three games back, but they could've just as easily gone 0 and 3. WVA didn't do themselves any favors with sloppy ball handling down the stretch.
As first I didn't buy the "Covid layoff" theory for BU's recent play, but there might be something there.
B12 tourney should be a dogfight.
Here in WA State the vaccine priority goes by a "Phase/Tier" system. First came the health care workers, first responders, and people in long-term care facilities. Next, everyone 65 and older, and adults over 50 who live in multi-generational households. Then it's the over-50 K-12 teachers, workers in public facilities, grocery, etc. More phases/tiers yet to be announced.
Overall statewide in that 65+ group, so far about 45 percent have gotten at least one shot; around 15 percent have had both. In all age groups, just under 15 percent with one dose, about 7 percent with both.
Things are ramping up quickly after temporary shipment delays due to the weather. A lot more public and private sites are up and operating. A few more school districts are also allowing in-person attendance, mostly in the lower grades.
Loyola Marymount still hanging with Gonzaga so far, though I don't see that lasting. LMU hasn't been good since the Paul Westhead run-and-gun days with Hank Gathers & Bo Kimble.
Er, "on the trey"
Glad we didn't have to rely to the trey...only 3 for 16. The rest of our shots we were 66.6 %
So do we still have a shot at a 3 seed ?
