The inside corners are open. Jackson would eat this zone alive.
And we're +6 on rebounds, which was supposed to be our weakness.
I'm actually quite encouraged. We're only down 3. We look quicker than them. We can out-quick their size.
@JayHawkFanToo I agree with you, he's their best rebounder. I was just surprised that he's not today.
@JayHawkFanToo Carter has 0 rebounds to go with his 3 fouls.
We are up on rebounds, 22-15
Vick is open at least, but he has to take it. Be aggressive. Be the man!
3 on Carter
THAT's a goaltend!
Let it fly!
Gotta put somebody on Bagley who can box out.
@Crimsonorblue22 Looked like it! But I'm not good a subtle color shading. I know primary colors.
Lotta blue in those stands

Doke isn't a great shooter but I'd thrilled to have him back.
Didn't he have the highest shooting percentage in the country?!?
I get your point, but he's smart enough to take the shots he can make. Monster dunks!
Trolls are silly. Ignorant trolls are just pathetic. Congrats on a good run in the tournament.
They are crawling back. If they had another 20 minutes, they could pull it out.
West Virginia up by 2
Ouch
@BeddieKU23 They are from the ACC?
Given our short bench, we've been fortunate all year staying out of foul trouble. Now our two irreplaceable players both have 4. Let's see how we respond.
Boom!
Graham!
Too much time left to get sloppy.
@Bwag Fantastic. Great for my physiology
@Crimsonorblue22 @Red-Rooster is keeping up the chat over on Slack!
2 of our players can't be replaced, Graham and Dok. If we can maintain the lead with both on the bench, we're good.
Keep it up while Graham is resting for Sunday
Bad call
Flagrant 1
De Sousa in. Let's see how long he stays
@DoubleDD Unless there's foul trouble
Fast start
@JayHawkFanToo I voted for her too. Just 'cause your reason is better than most!
My roommate in the late '80s came home from his first day of class and remarked, incredulously, that his chemistry class was bigger than his home town.
@benshawks08 I felt the same way at first, but then a buddy pointed out that if Weber makes the Final 4, his job is safe for life.
So we need to take the long view, and hope K-State wins tomorrow regardless of how KU does tonight. Because then we can kick Weber's butt for years to come.
A mediocre coach who is so easy to ridicule is the best we could hope for in our in-state rivals.
An Illinois coach who wins goes to KU. An Illinois coach who loses goes to K-State. That never gets old.
So while I'm happy for K-State fans in the short term, I'm happier for us in the long term.
I stayed at work last night until midnight and missed all the exciting games. I'm an idiot. It was a productive evening, but what a cost. My priorities are screwed. I'm not getting much done today.
Great article. Insight into the coaches, as well as the player.
Interesting quote:
When Mykhailiuk gets an unguarded spot-up attempt, KU scores 1.75 points per possession, according to Synergy Sports Technology. That ranks No. 1 in the nation among players with at least 50 tries.
Compare that to Dok, who has the highest shooting percentage in the nation (77.5%). When he shoots, KU scores 1.55 points per possession. An open Svi has a higher payoff, on average.
@dylans My wife calls me JIM (my actual name).
Stands for Jerk I Married.
Madness!
@jaybate-1.0 The cyclic period of 6 games you've suggested would mean we're due for another trough next game. Sure hope not. But we'd hit our next peak in the Championship game!
@truehawk93 Vick can still turn it up a notch. He has been good, but he can be better. Compare Devonte last year (very good) to this year (great). Vick could improve by at least the same amount. He has the physical ability to be great, if he locks in every single possession and takes ownership of the game.
@approxinfinity Yes, that's a tough one. But our conference has underperformed in the tournament, and the farther other Big 12 teams advance, the better our streak of 14 looks.
I'd sure root for Squeaky over Calipari.
I'd love to see 4 Big 12 teams in the Sweet 16. Not that confident it will happen, but it would be good for us.
He probably has a headache
Silvio has 0 rebounds, and looked a bit lost when he was out there.
Dok was only supposed to play 15 minutes this game. Didn't think it would be based on fouls, though.
I got Marcus Garrett, willing to do whatever it takes to help your team win. I'm good with that.
@BShark I don't think Vick is such a headcase as Tharpe and Greene. Certainly didn't have the same off-court issues.
I think Vick will be back. Where else would he go, after starting for KU most of the year? He will be locked in, back to his pre-conference form.
@Crimsonorblue22 It's a scatter plot of Big 12 players, plotting their Offensive rating vs usage. Trae Young is a clear outlier compared to all other players. Way overused.
