Michigan St is seemingly on the downturn. Northwestern beat them by 7 tonight in East Lansing. Pitt destroyed NU last week.

Going to Memphis • Dec 05, 2022 03:05 AM

Graceland! The Civil Rights museum is really well done. And it finishes on a horribly memorable note as well. The pyramid is kind of cool although the last time we passed through it's just a bass pro shop, but has an overlook near the top. The riverside park is pretty cool. Has a replica of the Mississippi and kind of a cool long footbridge all the way out there, but i think you can drive out there too. Peobody Hotel at dinner time when the ducks walk in is unique also. Have fun at the game. If we'd played Missouri I might have driven there for it.

Most of my knowledge of Memphis though is driving by MANY times on the 15 hour trip from Baton Rouge to Chicago which we determined we did 52 times during our 11 year sentence to Baton Rouge.

Rice? • Dec 05, 2022 02:58 AM

Arkansas is Biblical, "Noah looked out of the ark and saw..."

Baylor got stomped by Marquette the other day in Milwaukee. Badgers beat Marquette tonight also in Milwaukee. Strange results.

@mayjay I made a lot of money that night delivering Pizza Shuttles 7$ pies. Phone rang off the hook until about 3AM after that!

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 03:22 AM

15 steals. I find that very satisfying when we play a team named the Pirates.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 03:10 AM

We're used to hearing it but it's amazing to hear announcer after announcer and poll after poll say AFH is the best place in the country to watch a game.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:51 AM

Rice is having a bad nightmare of a game, on a night where basically everyone else is padding their stats too.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:43 AM

Stop talking about football

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:42 AM

@approxinfinity Texas is a big place though

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:41 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Texas?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:38 AM

@FarmerJayhawk Lucky guess!

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:37 AM

Gradey's gonna knock one down soon.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:36 AM

Adams is 6'7", seemingly an athletic energy on the court and tonight he has yet to grab 1 rebound.

Jayhawk womens volleyball win their opening match of the tourney with a win over 7 seed Miami! #RCJHKU

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:27 AM

Have you guys ever heard an announcer say Self is good designing plays out of a timeout?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:22 AM

Harris with a classic pic

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:13 AM

In college I was in Robinson gym once and this dude asked if I could rebound for him as he was practicing shooting. I said sure, why not. After a while I asked him who he was and he said Darnell Valentine. I wasn't aware of KU hoops when he was in college but I had heard of him as a pro and it was kind of cool. What was he like as a player at KU?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:07 AM

Harris on his way to becoming one of my all time Jayhawks. I love his story, how Brauns mom recruited him to KU, how he became an essential part of a national championship team. I love hearing stories of kids who have great difficulty because of parents inability to provide nurture and support enrolling in college and on his way to a bright future.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 02:01 AM

If you make a shot from the Jayhawk does that count as points in the paint?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:59 AM

That was a sweet block

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:49 AM

I'd foul Adams every time.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:43 AM

@DanR Do you want him taking a charge? Not I! He might break.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:42 AM

@wissox Oh, he just airballed a 3!

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:42 AM

Where's Rice?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:41 AM

The fieldhouse is not called Phog Allen. Please announcers get it right so I don't get irked every game!

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:39 AM

Nice Kev!

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:36 AM

Utah stomping #4 Arizona by 18 at the half.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:34 AM

Referees have ruined enough days of my life that I could have enjoyed one half of a year more than I've enjoyed already.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:31 AM

Except they're losing announcer man

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:30 AM

Donde es Rice?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:29 AM

5-1 on the foul count. That's very foul.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:27 AM

I wonder if our unis will ever say "The Beak"

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:26 AM

I'm only commenting on things not relevant to the game.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:25 AM

@approxinfinity I have no memory of gray ku basketball unis so I stand corrected because it must've been epically awesome.

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:25 AM

The Hall. Discuss.... I wonder if St. John is going to have a uni that says "The John"?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:21 AM

Fact: Teams wearing gray uniforms are known to be bad basketball players. It's true because our football team has worn gray over the last decade and how many games have they won?

Seton Hall Gameday discussion • Dec 02, 2022 01:17 AM

Pirates are criminals, stealing ships loaded with I-Phones, cookies and Honda Civics. They make people walk planks to get eaten by sharks. Jayhawks try to save the union and hate people from Missouri. This is really a battle for what's good, right, pure, honest and heck, the American way. (wait til you see how I introduce next weeks match against Missouri).

Last season of the ACC/BIG challenge as the ACC backed out. Not sure it had to do with the BIG signing with FoxSports or if it was the BIG has regularly won the challenge the last 10 years or so. BIG not doing as well this year and will need to pick up some wins against the big boys of the league in order to win. Curious to see Indiana against Duke.

Other games • Nov 30, 2022 02:17 AM

Chucky Hepburn just hit a 60 footer to end the half. He made a similar one last season. Badgers down 3 to Wake.

Houston had their chance to win a NC. 1983 loaded team with two future hall of famers leads NCState with zero recognizable names and the legend of Jim Valvano is born. Guy Lewis the towel toter of Houston goes into a stall instead of just continue to score nearly at will and ends up on the receiving end of one of basketballs most quintessentially famous plays, the Wittenburg Airball caught by Prince Lorenzo Charles and slammed through. Valvano became famous as he ran around looking for someone to hug. Lewis regretted his decision for the rest of his life.

Chicago St. DI school. Played as an independent and in all sorts of oddball conferences including the Great Western which had a map stretching across the country from California to South Carolina to New York. They have been horrid forever, generate zero interest in basketball rich Chicago, have a fantastic 8 or 9000 seat arena which no one goes to. I don't know how they justify having a team. I don't know where the money comes from to pay coaches and fly guys all over the country and offer schollies. It's 8 miles from my house and I've never been tempted to go to a game there because they never play anyone good at home.

Some really interesting tensions in this US-Iran match today.

Texas Southern beat Arizona State for their only win and ASU's only loss. ASU has defeated Michigan by 25 which is ranked.
